Luxurious oceanfront located in OKI's Paradise Shores - Blue Bayou

A truly unique beach front home! This vacation paradise features four spacious bedrooms, each with fantastic ocean front views. Three of the bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets. Two of the rooms are equipped with King beds, the other 2 have Queens, with the fourth bedroom having additional twin bunks. The home boasts a beautifully updated kitchen with all the amenities you need to accommodate in-house meal prep and cooking. However, if you don't feel like cooking, you're also in luck with the convenience of having multiple local restaurants within a 2–5-minute drive.

Located in the highly desirable Paradise Shores section of Oak Island, this home uniquely has almost no drive by traffic. Enjoy overlooking the Atlantic Ocean while mother nature provides a light show with ever changing colors- be it sunrise or sunset. A large outdoor deck and gas grill, beach closet with gear, and a private outdoor shower makes this the perfect choice for your next getaway. Come enjoy the best vacation ever at the Blue Bayou!!

This home welcomes up to two dogs. All pet-friendly homes include a pet fee that covers bringing up to one dog. An additional fee applies if you are bringing a second dog. Please note that dogs are the only pets permitted.

BEACH CREDIT
Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more, the choice is yours. Please note, this offer is only available for stays between April 1 and October 31.

WHAT S INCLUDED?
Linens are included with your reservation and contain the following: flat and fitted bedsheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths.

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS
As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7-night minimum with a mandatory Saturday-to-Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. Absolutely Wonderful Place

The listing was just as described. Everything from the booking process to check in to check out was a breeze. The property is in a great location and close to everything. Our first day there, we had an issue with the AC not working, and they responded immediately and had it fixed in no time at all!! Would most definitely book again.

Could not have asked for a better place!

We were looking for a place to hang at the beach after a family wedding in Holly Springs. We had never been to Oak Island before and we will be back. What we loved most about this house was the view of the ocean from the bedrooms, along with the decor. We spent a ton of time out on the deck, reading, relaxing and telling stories. So glad we picked this place!

Great home

The house was great, but the deck gate is completely rusted out and held together by a bungee cord. It could easily be fixed with some new hinges.

great house - great location

the house and location are great. One mattress needs to be replaced upstairs and the rest were fine. Deck would be pretty hot in the summer being trex type decking. Every bedroom looks right out at the beach along with the downstairs family room. Great to be this close to the beach when it comes to going back and forth from the beach. Great House !!

Comfortable home with great beach views

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated a well supplied kitchen for cooking. The check-in was frustrating. We arrived at 3:45 but were not allowed access until 4:00 exactly because the programmed door keypad will not allow entry until exactly 4 pm. This seems a bit extreme and I have never experienced this before with vacation rentals.

Million Dollar View

The house is beautifully remodeled inside. Needs some updating on the exterior. The view is exactly as pictured, beautiful. It was fairly clean, nothing really major. The main living space is a little smaller than expected. We really appreciated that the stairs were all enclosed in the house. With that being said, I just had a heart attack in April and there were too many stairs for me. I couldn't imagine older people being able to navigate them safely. Overall wonderful house, bedrooms are good size. Would easily accommodate 10 people. Would be perfect for younger families! Close distance to most anything and everything!

Great location right on the beach

We stayed on this property for a family vacation with 4 adults. The location is fabulous, right on the beach, with private access. There is a public parking lot next to the house, but it wasn't loud at all. The house is dog friendly. The set up is great, with a master bedroom on the 2nd floor off the kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms on the 3rd level, 2 have their own bathroom. The bathrooms are a bit small. The kitchen had everything we need. We had to call the management company on a holiday about our internet going out, as 2 of us had to work. Michael, went out of his way to get it resolved. The management company also provided a voucher for beach rentals which was great. We got everything we needed. There were a few negatives. The outdoor furniture was old and the umbrellas were not in working condition. The deck gets a lot of sun, so working umbrellas would have been great. The floors were also filthy. As soon as we got there, we could tell the floors were dirty, so I went out and got a Swiffer. The first pass was black. I scrubbed the floors 5 times. I think the cleaning service just runs a vacuum, which often doesn't get sand up, and doesn't mop the floors. You have to wear shoes or socks all of the time. We cleaned the floors daily. I would stay there again, but always bring a Swiffer along.

Thanksgiving at the beach

The house has beautiful views- easy access to the beach! We were disappointed that the dishwasher didn’t work especially over Thanksgiving as we had a ton of dishes to do… But overall a nice vacation.
