This popular and comfortable home located in the heart of beautiful Edisto Beach is your key to feeling the sand under your toes and hearing the delightful sounds of the surf. Families will love the open living area featuring a vaulted ceiling and great deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. If spending quality family time is on the agenda, this home is perfectly outfitted with a full kitchen for meals and plenty of room for family activities. Shopping and restaurants are located only a block away. There will be no need to get back into your car to get any necessities during your vacation. Take a break and relax, and before long you will learn that good times are 'A Shore Thing.'

No Smoking.
Per the Edisto Beach Police Dept, due to this home's location on Palmetto Blvd, golf cart(s) cannot be driven to or from this property.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Beautiful home in good location.

The home is very attractive and feels inviting and homey. The views from the porch are excellent and located close to shopping and the grocery store. Easy walking distance to anything you may need. The closeness to the state park was also a plus as I enjoyed walking and taking my dog along the park.

Edisto Paradise

We had an awesome time! Ocean front location was perfect to all restaurants and The Grocery store. Weather was beautiful and cold. Our dogs enjoyed the spacious back porch and walks on the beach! The staff was great! We’ll be going back in the future!

lovely spot

loved the location for October visit. Alot of money for what you get though. House needs some attention - will be getting new siding (they started work on it as we were packing up to vacate) Thats a great start!

Family Times Together

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "It's a Shore Thing". It met all of our expectations...especially the fact of its location right on the beach! It was so enjoyable to sit on the deck and listen to the crash of the waves, watch the sunrise, and to see families enjoy the water. The kitchen had all that we had need of for our meal preparations. Even the table was large enough to have our meals together. The only recommendation would be to have more seating available for the back deck and maybe some beach chairs, umbrella, and sand toys. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for us to enjoy our family!

Great location but worn

On the water but house needs minor maintenance and updates. The floor was the best part of the house to be honest. Bathrooms need some serious TLC, mattresses are worn, furniture is old and screens are either missing or have holes. If not for the location, I would not rent this house again.

Good location

The house was great. Plenty of room to lounge around and relax or walk outside and hit the beach. Vacasa property management was very easy to work with and answered all my questions promptly. Will definitely book with them again. The house itself was in the perfect location. Ocean front but also plenty of privacy. It’s close to a grocery store, seafood market, as well as places to eat and shops to look around in. My family and I had a wonderful stay.

Shell Seeker, fishing and boogie boarding

Property was adequate, does have some age and needs new refrigerator. Nice to have linens provided. Power went out on Friday and was out for several hours, but Dominion Energy did great restoring service. Nice to walk out front to beach. Within walking distance for food, groceries and sweet treats. Children loved riding waves on the water and fishing was good for Sheepshead fish.

Short vacay

Great location! Good layout, however, the house needs a lot of work. The ceiling fans need to be replaced. Water damage on ceiling visible in all rooms. Back porch furniture not safe to sit on. I hope they fix it up. It’s a good location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, steps to a private beach, awesome views. It’s close to convenient stores & restaurants. It’s pretty close to the public beach and people who park at the public beach may have access to your area. No hotels in the beach area & quite a distance from the town, which makes the beach so serene. Allows pets w/c was a plus.

Great Family Vacation

This house is in an amazing location. It is close to everything, but still doesn't feel like it is in a crowded or busy area. We could walk to the pier, grocery store, and gas station. The beach in this area didn't get very crowded either. The house itself was very clean and adequate for our needs. The only (very small) complaints we had with the house are one ceiling fan was very loud and needs replaced and the dryer took a very long time to dry clothes. We would definitely stair here again and we would definitely recommend this house to others.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. Very nice rental and great location

We shared the house with 4 adults but it could easily accommodate 2 families. The house was nicely decorated and well appointed. Bedrooms were all a good size and kitchen had all the utensils and cooking supplies needed. It came with linens which were a big plus for us. When you come to the beach, you are already hauling enough stuff that you don't want to think if you have the right sheets for all of the beds. Our trip was in March, so there were some very cool days, but once the sun came out, it was warm enough to sit out on the deck and enjoy the ocean without having to bring our chairs down to the beach. It was great that we were able to bring our golden retriever too. It was nice to be able to walk to dining and the grocery. I had read some previous reviews about the condition of the house, but it appears they have done some updating. Tile is throughout the main rooms, which made sweeping up the sand easy. The bedrooms all have carpet, but they were in very good condition. The only thing that I would suggest as an improvement is a larger TV in the living room. I know you're at the beach and not watching much TV, but there are times you do and it would be nice to be able to read the guide without having to get up and go right up to the TV to read it. Other than that, I would highly recommend.
