Deer View Cottage is a peaceful retreat, private 400 square foot 1 bedroom, 1 Bathroom cottage, with full kitchen, set back from the road and surrounded by pasture and trees.

1 King size bed in the bedroom
1 Queen size pull out sofa bed in the Livingroom

This cottage is one of the 3 cottages on our 16 acres property. Walk out from the cottage and enjoy the 16 acres of private property including a private stocked fishing pond, ready for you to fish or just enjoy the view. The open pasture is a perfect location for flying kites or drones. Just minutes from a super Kroger, Walmart, Applebee’s, Diablo, Alde’s, Fiveguys and many other restaurants.
Kitchen is stocked with all the cooking ware, plus complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and creamer.

We strictly adhere to our cancelation policy. We suggest that you purchase travel insurance.

We do have a private fishing pond on the property for our guests only. The pond is stocked with bass and bream. But Recently the water has gotten muddy due to rain and construction in the neighboring property. We are waiting for it to settle again and clear. Guests may bring your fishing poles and enjoy fishing, but we can't guarantee that guests will catch fish. Many wild deer are visiting our 16 acre property in the evenings and early mornings. They graze during the day. They come and go as they wish. A variety of birds such as Blue jays, Cardinals, owls, hawks, hummingbirds, Woodpeckers... nested in our wooded areas in the property that we enjoy watching and listening to.

This cottage is perfect for a get away with a lot of privacy and peaceful retreat. Pet owners love this cottage.
The 16 Acres property has a lot of open spaces to roam around. Owners are living in the main house with a fence around it.
Also, there are 3 cottages on this property (Please see the ARIAL VIEW picture to locate Deer View Cottage on the property)

Due to labilities, the pool it is not available to the guests staying in this Vacation Short Term Rental.
The owners' fenced pool is away from the cottage and it is locked. It has 7 feet tall fence and can only be accessed via owners' fenced yard . The fenced pool is only for owners use.

Wild life is present in this property (no hunting is allowed)

Our private fishing pond is on the South West corner of the property. See the Arial view picture to locate the fishing pond. You may fish in the pond, just bring your fishing equipment.
Watch for wild life around the pond and no swimming is allowed in the fishing pond.

For health reasons, dogs are not allowed to swim in fishing pond or drink from it (please see the Arial picture of the property for the fishing pond location). dogs must be on leash when they are outside.

Our maximum length of stay is 3 weeks. All inquiries for longer than 3 weeks will be declined.
All payments must be submitted and processed via this platform. We do not accept personal checks, cashier checks or company checks.

Roomy, clean, well laid out cottage. A lot of room for the money. We loved seeing the deer outside our cottage. There's a reason it's called Deer View Cottage!

Our stay was FABULOUS. The property is beautiful and the house is perfect and clean. The only suggestion I have is for a small lamp in the living room. We had a great time and our vizslas loved it. It was the first time we learned all our hard work training them in paid off. They enjoyed their stay too. Can not wait to come back

Perfect Place For Us

The cottage was the perfect size for us and very nice inside. Even with the last minute addition of our adult son, we had enough room. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed and were finished more like a home than a rental. The crown molding, appliances and countertops really made you feel like you weren’t in a rental. We would love to stay there again if we are ever in the area.

Wonderful Place to Stay

This property was so amazing to stay at. It was easy to find, we were in for a long weekend visiting with family and it meet all of our needs! It’s pet friendly which was an amazing because we brought our two dogs with us. My son loved watching the deer play around the cabin in the evenings and mornings. All toiletries was provided, along with other little extras. Which when traveling is such a life saver, we gratefully appreciated it. The owners live on property and we even had some neighbors at the cottage next to us but everyone was so friendly. We definitely have this place saved for our next visit with family to book.

Just Like Home

Clean by the truest definition,quiet, peaceful, well thought-out with attention to details that resonate with conscientious people who value stewardship. This little cottage tucked nicely back from stirrings of the world provides an oasis to reflect, regroup, while offering amenities we all enjoy in support of our daily life agenda's. Jasmine & Will are excellent hosts with a clearly communicated desire for serving and honoring their guests. Thank you...we'll be back for sure!

Deer View Cottage for Fishing Tournament

This is the second time we have rented Deer View Cottage for a fishing tournament weekend at Wildwood Park. If only we had a place like this to rent for every tournament! Plenty of parking space, great for our dog, well appointed, and quiet. Thank you Jasmine and Will for being great hosts!

Adorable cottage

This adorable cottage was clean, the towels were soft, there were little extras Incase you forgot from qtips to lens wipes. Kitchen was full of dishes, pots utensils everything to make a meal. Outdoor patio space even has a dog bed. Nice swing overlooking the lake. Our little dog loved all the smells walking around the property. Owners home also on property but you still have privacy. They introduced themselves and were nice and friendly.

Feeling like a King and Queen.

It was comfy, honestly didn't need to bring anything, top notch hosts. These cottages were extremely clean, compliments to our hosts. Loved how everything was labeled, didn't have to guess about wondering where anything was. Classy and comfy.... we will be back. Really great restaurants around too try Frog and a Hen. Wow... this is why it is so important to support independent business' . You want five star that's private and on point.... taaa daaa here you are

Perfect for High School Fishing Tournament

This was the perfect for 2 adults, 2 15-year-old boys and our dog. Plenty of room to park our boat, quiet, and lots of space for our dog to run. The boys enjoyed the pond and the deer that visited. We have already booked this cottage for our next tournament at Clarks Hill. The owners were very thoughtful to have the home stocked with everything we needed. If there was anything I would suggest it would be extra bed pillows for the pull-out sofa.

A good choice for the area

We stayed three nights with our threes dogs coming along with us. This was our second stay here. Great location if you have pups. Lots of nice open space to walk them and be outside with them. Saw a few deer as well. The unit was quite nice, exceptional clean and accommodating. It was within a 25 minute drive of everything we wanted to do in Evans or Augusta. The hosts are very responsive and pleasant to interact with. We will stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book this unit.

My wife and I are both system engineers. We are dog lovers and Sookie is our 9 years old solid black German Shepherd dog that we adore. We bought this 16 Acre property with its large manor in 2016. In 2018 we built the High Meadows Cottage /guest house and started hosting traveling guests and families. In 2020 we built two more cottages and Deer View Cottage is our second guest house available to book on VRBO.
You will be staying at our detached standalone Deer View cottage. Deer View cottage is approximately 500 SQF, (Livingroom, Kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom).

It has one King size bed, and a Queen size sofa bed (pullout)
The cottage has a full kitchen with full size appliances (refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, large sink).

Full private bathroom/shower tub combo,

Enjoy the 2 smart TVs with xfinity app which includes live TV, Amazon prime on smart TV.
The TV comes with several other apps as well, such as Netflix, YouTube and many more apps... but you should have your own accounts to watch Netflix and those additional services.

WiFi internet access is included.

Guest access
For your connivance a charcoal grill, patio table and chairs are provided next to the cottage.

If you like fishing you may fish in our private fishing pond that is stocked with Bass and Bream. Just bring your fishing poles and the baits and be aware of the wild life on the property.

The guests will have access to the entire cottage and the whole 16 acres that surrounds it.

The guests have a concrete pad in front of the cottage for parking and a concrete walkway. There is ample parking space next to the concrete pad for extra parking of any type of vehicles including RVs and trailers.

The main house is only a few hundred feet away.

Other things to note
Smoking is permitted outdoors. You may smoke outdoor and please use the provided planter pot outside by the porch as an ashtray for the cigarette butts.

Are you looking for quiet time away from city and traffic and privacy and feel close to nature?
This property/ estate is one of the few large estates left on William Few PKW as most other properties are developed into subdivisions, townhouses and business shopping centers. Although, you feel like you are in country side with rolling pastures, yet you are in the middle of the developed area with all the amenities nearby.
We have 3 guest cottages and all 3 are vacation homes for travelers visiting Augusta area. All 3 guest cottages are built on the same 16 Acres property.
