A 5-minute walk to the pristine beaches of Playa Pelada and Playa Guiones in Nosara. Unwind at this authentic Costa Rican beachside bungalow. The pool allows for enjoyment and relaxation. The house is located in Playa Pelada, a secret "locals" spot with unspoiled, shell sprinkled sand and curling surfing waves. Two local grocery shops and eight restaurants are only a 5-minute walk, and the area feels peaceful and secluded. Restaurants : La Luna, Il Pepperoni, Tonitos, Olgas, Nosara Beach Hotel, Pulpo's, Sunrise Cafe and La Bodega. A short 2-minute walk to Seekret Spot - our local Italian ice cream shop.

Lovely stay

Good location. Easy parking. Lovely cool apartment with fans and air con if needed. Darcy was very friendly and helpful and the pool was a bonus. We had a lovely stay.

Overall great place in Pelada

We had a great time here, the space, location, and pool were all excellent for our family of 4. The only issue we had was the toilet was not functioning properly for the duration of our stay, would not flush. The owner had someone fixing it when we were leaving.

Absolutely Perfect

We could not of been more impressed and happy with this casita. Location in Pelada is ideal for a quick walk to the beach, surf and dining at fantastic restaurants. The pool is awesome and a great get together spot for the few amazing neighbors that share it. We were so impressed by the presentation of the casita. Immaculately clean and so charming. Equipped with every comfort you would need for a small kitchen. Hanging out in the screened in porch and listening to nature around us was so relaxing and one of our favorite things to do at dawn and for an afternoon read of a good book. The hosts are readily available for anything you may possibly need and are experts of local places to explore. They are some of the nicest people we’ve ever met and we enjoyed meeting them. We cannot say enough great things about our stay here. It was a perfect place to call home for our family of four. We were all very sad to leave, but certainly know we will be back.

We immediately felt at home in this unit. Beach towels and blanket, food necessities and the lovely screened in porch all made our stay so enjoyable. The location is close enough to walk to the beach every day and every evening for sunset, but out of the congestion that can be Nosara.

Hi. My name is Darcy. I have been coming to this area of Nosara for 20 years. I moved here permanently 5 years ago. My goals are to embody the "pura vida" lifestyle, reflecting the Costa Rican emphasis on savoring simple pleasures and appreciating nature. I would like to consider myself very friendly, welcoming to visitors and hopefully I can provide authentic Costa Rican hospitality.
My days revolve around the coastal rhythm, enjoying body surfing, swimming, or simply relaxing by the ocean. When guests arrive, I am passionate about showcasing the magic of the beaches, perhaps guiding them to hidden coves, explaining the local marine life, or sharing the best spots for surfing or snorkeling.
I strive to share my "Pura Vida" lifestyle and the natural wonders that surround Playa Pelada.

I encourage guests to participate in activities that connect them with the natural environment, like horseback riding on the beach, or helping with sea turtle conservation projects and being environmentally aware.

Guests appreciate the clean and comfortable, if basic, bungalow with a kitchen, the refreshing swimming pool, and the serene environment with abundant wildlife, like howler monkeys.
