Hi Sentra, I'm sorry your stay was not up to your standards. Had these concerns been voiced during your stay, I would have been happy to try and remedy some of your concerns and I would have certainly provided you with more towels. I have not had anyone else complain about a leaky toilet or a leaky shower. I will have my handy man look at these ASAP. We strive to have every one of our guests have a 5 star experience when staying at our home and I'm sorry you did not feel this was the case for you. The pool is heated to 85 degrees during the winter months, as advertised, and I reached out to you the very next day with instructions on how to turn it up- as soon as I heard back from my pool people. In regards to the pool screen, I have to rely on my cleaning team to be my eyes and they provide me with before and after pictures at each turnover. The screen was unfortunately damaged beyond repair after your visit so I had to collect the insurance money to replace it. What had actually happened, I cannot say with 100% certainty but this was the first time that I collected insurance money from any of the guests. I can assure you there was nothing unethical going on. I have 5 star reviews from all previous guests that have stayed at my home and I regret that you did not have the same experience.

Hi Thomas, I'm sorry you had such a miserable time at my home, however, some of the things you mention are simply not true. For example- I offered you a 50% refund if you wanted to find another place that fit your needs better. You refused to leave, but kept insisting you want a FULL refund. You could have easily found another place in the area that had availability- there are plenty of hotels in Sarasota. The pool pump was a little louder than normal, but it was still functioning perfectly fine and there was no reason why you couldn't have used the pool during your stay. My pool people advised me that it did not need immediate replacement but I asked them to replace it anyway to accommodate you. That alone was a $1200 out of pocket expense. I also told you repeatedly that you did NOT need to be home for any of the repairs, especially the pool repairs since they don't need access to the home for that. You chose to stay home anyway. The heater in the home was addressed that same day- within a couple hours of you reaching out to me. Turns out, they gave me incorrect instructions earlier and I apologize for that. The blanket set that you purchased for my home was blue and hideous. Even my cleaning lady didn't want it. The sheets and blankets that I currently have at my home are high quality and I have not had a single complaint about them. It felt that you were on a mission to complain about something every single day, however insignificant it was, just so you can get a refund. I considered just refunding your stay but when I spoke with VRBO customer service they advised me not to give you any refund at all because the things you were complaining about were not real "issues". I only gave you a $50 gift card because I wanted to do something nice for you and lift your spirits a bit. I sincerely apologize that you had such a terrible stay at my home, however, as you can see from all my previous 5 star reviews on here and AirBNB, that is simply not the case for everyone.
