Contemporary-inspired gîte nestled in a beautiful, perfectly restored traditional 19th century character house, located in the heart of the hilly countryside (partly protected in the "Natura 2000" & "ZNIEFF" zone for its remarkable ecosystems) in the heart of the green valley of la Guye and the bucolic Charolais bocage, 4.5 km from the small shopping village of Joncy and 14 km from the charming medieval and wine-growing village of Saint-Gengoux-le-National labeled "Cities of Character of Burgundy-Franche-Comté" (very many amenities on site including supermarket). In a small hamlet including the owners' restaurant ("l'Étape Charollaise") nestled at the crossroads of the Côtes Chalonnaises & Mâconnais vineyards (not far from the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne" & the "Route des Grands Vins"), on the routes of the Romanesque churches circuit & the GR76 connected to the GR7, very close to numerous hiking trails marked as "green walks" (rich network of marked hiking trails of this type to be explored in the region) , 10 km from a cycle route (connected to the EuroVélo6 as well as the greenway), 10 km from a referenced favorite bike loop of 27 km (another route of the same type of 24 km accessible 16 km ) & 14 km from the greenway. Nestled in a small rural hamlet in the heart of rolling countryside, on the edge of a bocage landscape (with the peaceful and renowned Charolais cows as neighbors), at the border of the Clunisois and Charollais regions, in the verdant Guye Valley with its fish-filled river (a favorite among anglers), this pleasant, unspoiled environment of meadows and forests is just 2 km from the charming village of Saint-Martin-la-Patrouille (a town boasting two 19th-century tileworks listed as "Historic Monuments" and an 11th-century Romanesque chapel), and very close to a promontory offering exceptional panoramic views of the Clunisois region, the Beaujolais mountains, and even Mont Blanc on a clear day. This spacious and comfortable gîte features a contemporary style with a simple and zen-like atmosphere. It includes a sunny and shaded gravel terrace. A pleasant, private, enclosed shared garden offers a swing and slide, as well as a covered games room (including a ping-pong table, foosball, punching bag, and various games for children).
