Great location to base and see all you want in Door County
I’m finally getting around to a review of my/our stay Sat, Aug 12 to Sun, Aug 27 of 2023. Suffice to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return again. If you read no further, I will summarize with: great location from which to base and see all you want in Door County and also a great place to stay for a week+ stay.
Key attributes for a positive stay: the small house was clean throughout! That makes a big difference. Also loved the greeting chocolate on the counter and having the kitchen to make basic breakfasts and dinners. So nice to have a clean kitchen to start with. Easy access to coffee next door or to make it in the kitchen.
The bathroom had plentiful towels and other amenities for the duration of the stay and just as importantly had a stacked washer & dryer that came in really handy since I was there for almost 3 weeks.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking stuff and plates and utensils though we didn’t find pot holders so making pizza one night had me scrambling for something to help pull it out of the oven. Meanwhile, there is no dishwasher so for a longer stay when you’re cooking, you’ll just have to handle the dish washing yourself. But not to worry, there are soaps and sponges and what you need to clean up.
The good wifi throughout the house was helpful and appreciated.
The chairs out back were nice to take advantage of on nice summer evenings.
