Beginning mid-to-late November, Horseshoe Bend is decorated for Christmas, making it a cozy spot for a holiday mountain getaway.

Important Notes Before Booking
Mountain Driving

The cabin sits at elevation and is accessed via a gravel road with one steeper hill. This is normal for mountain cabins.

We regularly drive a Hyundai Sonata up without issue, though AWD can be helpful during winter conditions.

Starter Supplies

We provide starter items including:

• laundry detergent
• dish soap
• hand soap
• paper towels

Guests should bring personal toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

House Policies

• A Renter Agreement must be signed before check-in
• A $250 security deposit hold will be placed on your card 3 days before arrival
• This is a hold, not a charge, similar to hotels
• No refunds due to weather
• Travel insurance is recommended

The hosts were great at communicating and providing a lot of helpful, local information. The cabin was well furnished, clean and really had everything we needed. The views from the porch as well as all of the windows was beautiful! We hope to come back!

Awesome time at Horseshoe Bend

We had another wonderful experience at one of Chuck and Sandy's properties (Horseshoe Bend). Perfect location, beautiful views, well thought out top shelf amenities, and the best hosts you could want. We even had a box of chocolates and a Valentines balloon awaiting us upon our last arrival. What more can I say? We'll be back in April for our 4th stay this year. Give them a call, you won't regret it..

The house was spotless. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Great views and privacy. Centrally located to all the attractions and great little towns. Check out downtown Sylva. Restaurants were great. We were asked to do very little checkout which I greatly appreciate.

Beautiful Mountain View in secluded location that is convenient to all sites near Cherokee. Very nice, modern furniture, anppli and decor with very comfortable beds. Easy access and checkout. My wife and I had a wonderful time!

This was our second stay here. It was another remarkable visit at this location! Always super clean and the hosts are very responsive! We love the view of the mountains and how peaceful the location is. Most of all they allow our pups to join for a small fee! We will be back! This location is close to Cherokee River walk which the dogs enjoy and an entrance to the Blue ridge parkway. Also a quick drive to Pigeon Forge Tennessee (once 441 is back open).

This cottage is lovely!

Chuck and Sandy were the best hosts - so gracious, so on top of everything. The home is immaculate and while I almost never rent a house that doesn't have white sheeting and duvets this was clean and beautiful and very new feeling. The only thing is you have to know the hill up is quite steep and you shouldn't rent unless you have 4 wheel drive - saw someone getting stuck at the top of the hill. Road and driveway are steep but we had no problems at all.

Perfect little get away. Easy to get to trails and small local towns. VERY clean. Kitchen well stocked with all I needed to cook. Front porch and hot tub were my favorite places to be. And communication with owners was superb.

Relaxing

The cabin was everything i expected. We went over the mountains into Gatlinburg, visited cherokee, took a trip a.d rode the dragons tail, and enjoyed the peace and quite of the cabin. I wpuld definitely recommend staying here to friends and family.

Loved it!

Stayed at the horseshoe bend. I’ve never stayed at a cabin with such thoughtful host who provided all the little things you wouldn’t expect. The cabin of course is super clean and neat . The inside is decorated with encouragement of the outdoors and camping . Very impressed ! Was even greeted by Chuck upon arrival to make sure we were good. Even though they have mostly what you need the small towns are easy to navigate. Also had complementary firewood cut and ready for the fire pit. Chuck and Sandy absolutely go all out to make sure your stay is special. We found our spot and will be back. Thank you!

WCU Graduation Trip

This place is OUTSTANDING! Every single detail has been thought of in this cabin…everything! This place was spotless upon arrival. Porch lights were left on as well as a light inside. The jacuzzi was hot and spotless. Beds are comfortable, towels plentiful, kitchen very well stocked, board and card games, robes and slippers…so peaceful and quiet!! The roads are a breeze and nothing to worry about at all. Host are very responsive to any and all questions. We have made too many trips to count to the Whee (20 minute drive from the cabin) over the past four years and we are so disappointed we didn’t know about this place sooner. We won’t stay anywhere else moving forward!

Cozy Cabin

We loved our stay here with friends. The cabin was very clean and beautiful and had everything we needed. It was close to casino in Cherokee and the Train ride in Bryson. Loved the fire pit and twinkle lights along with the rocking chairs on the porch. Beautiful place.

Quiet and relaxing, great location

We attended open house at Western Carolina, and the cabin was the perfect location for visiting the school. After a short drive ( 15 minutes) to campus and a long day of walking and touring, we really appreciated the hot tub! A well-stocked kitchen and gas grill made cooking each evening a breeze, especially with a beautiful view of the mountains and a great fire as we cooked. Didn't have too much time for local exploring outside of the college tour, but really enjoyed walking through downtown Sylva and finding everything we needed for meals at Ingles. Beautiful drive home through Cherokee. Looking forward to returning!

Nice quiet little piece of Heaven!

The cabin is perfect for a small family, couples retreat! The views are amazing. The fog rolling in over the mountains was cool. We were literally in the clouds. Perfect valentines getaway. Was just a short drive to the Casino and downtown Cherokee. Thanks for Hosting us, we will be back if youll have us. Would/will highly recommend this rental to friends and family.
