This brand new studio, The Nest, is located minutes from Maggie Valley, Cataloochie Ski Resort, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Your private, elevated deck overlooks the valley below, a forested setting with a seasonal creek running through the woods. Your kitchenette has a microwave oven, refrigerator and all your utensils, plates, etc. From your front door, it's just a short hike to beautiful Angel Falls. The Nest - a perfect place for that long weekend rest you've wanted.

This was EXACTLY what we were looking for

This place was exactly what we were looking for, for our short trip to the Maggie valley/Gatlingburg area. It was the perfect size for me, my wife and 9 year old. Not sure how I didn't see the twin bed in the pictures or read over that part in the description but it was perfect for my 9 year old. This is the perfect place for a short stay to the area. The only gripe for me and it's not going to be for many people, I'm 6'4 and the shower was just a tad bit on the small side for me, but it worked fine for my wife. Everything else was perfect from the cleanliness to the location. The drive up wasn't too bad, little steep but paved all the way up. Will definitely be back here in the future. Thank you to Greg and his wife for being awesome hosts and chit chatting with us when we first arrived. Made it feel that much more welcoming.

Everything top notch and very friendly

we were greeted by owners Gwen and Greg upon our arrival and made very welcome. They showed us the property, explained everything needed and recommended places to visit and dine. The property is everything advertised and beautiful. Very close to anything needed in town and several attractions. Highly recommend!

Fun cottage stay in Maggie Valley!

Communication with the owners was stellar! They are very nice folks and very welcoming. A hot tub was mentioned in the property listing but did not seem available for guest use as it was located on the owner's personal property. The Nest itself was very comfortable and clean! The view was spectacular, waking up to the sunrise over the mountains. Overall a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend!

The Nest

My stay was wonderful. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. The place was so clean, quiet, peaceful. I highly recommend The Nest.

Great Getaway

Greg and Gwen were great hosts. Their place was definitely off the beaten path. I know how they came up with the name the nest, the views were spectacular. it was well worth the drive up the mountain to stay there. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway this is the place to stay.

Beautiful property, great location

Apartment is immaculately taken care of and has everything you'd need to get away in the mountains. Great mountain views and peaceful quietness. Bed was comfortable and accommodations were great! Greg and Gwen were great hosts and lovely to talk to. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely place

The Nest is a cozy place! We loved it. It is perfect for a couple. We came up to ride motorcycles, but the weather was not great. Also, we didn't realize how far up the mountain the Nest was and the road was curvey and had ruts in it -- we braved it one day on the bike when the weather was good.

Amazing stay

Great Weekend Getaway

We stayed at the Nest for an extended weekend trip. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a place to merely lay your head down for the night. The Nest is clean and provides the essentials needed. The location is perfect with easy access to Maggie Valley and Waynesville. The hosts are the best that we have come across, welcoming and willingness to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Beautiful view

This is a beautiful property. We really enjoyed our stay. We loved sitting out back on the deck in the morning & evening. I felt that it was a bit scary getting up the mountain, & I wish we had brought our 4 wheel drive vehicle rather than the Camaro convertible that sits very low. The roads up to the property are not all paved, so just be aware. Of course I live in TX in the hill country, but no mountains, so not used to mountain driving. Also, the only thing to cook on is a microwave in the kitchen, but we managed very well. Yes, I recommend this property for a short relaxing getaway.

Great place for a couple's getaway!!

Our stay at the Nest was wonderful! Greg and Gwen are friendly hosts and we enjoyed visiting with them (and meeting their dog). Their place is up in the mountains and is quite beautiful and peaceful. We hiked to a nearby waterfall and loved having our morning coffee on the deck. The Nest is a wonderful place for a couple's getaway!!

Amazing little getaway

My fiancé and I went for a late Valentine's trip and it was amazing! It was the perfect little loft above the homeowners garage. The views were amazing! Going up the mountain was a total adrenaline rush, looking over the edge of the mountain was unbelievable. There was also a peaceful little stream that was so relaxing. The hosts were amazing and made us feel completely at home and didn't bother us at all! They were very respectful and knowledgeable about the area! The location is very close to good restaurants and activities, we loved downtown Waynesville. If you go you should definitely check out a restaurant called The Sweet Onion, the food was AMAZING and very family friendly. We would definitely go back!

Cozy charming cabin

Greg and Gwen were amazing hosts making sure they had everything you could need available in your cabin to stay they even printed a personal welcome note for us which was the sweetest touch. Absolutely love the design and colors not to mention the breathtaking view on your own personal porch , they were so very kind out of our years of visiting Maggie this is by far my favorite place to stay , also they give you personal directions because gps sends you the wrong way . wish I could give more then 5 stars

5 star Hosts, formed a friendship within minutes, will definitely stay there again.

Amazing cabin and hosts

The pottery is exactly as it is listed and better than we could have imagined. Greg and Gwen are super hosts (treated us like family). Nice and quiet with many things to do in the surrounding towns. We will definitely go back!!
