Self-contained Cabin Is a modern styled private retreat. Sleeps a maximum of 2 people.

Perfect for a peaceful getaway for a couple or a single person, ideal for Stargazers too as Nildottie has some of the darkest skies in the world.

Only a 2 min drive down to the rivers edge, beautiful picnic spots, river views, fishing and other water activities. *Please note... Bird watchers be aware *We are NOWHERE NEAR GLUEPOT RESERVE which is 155klms away.

The cabin has a fully functional Modern Kitchen, with a fridge, convection microwave & 2 burner glass stove top. plenty of cupboard space for food storage.

The cabin has an en-suite bathroom, consisting of a spacious shower, a vanity sink and toilet.

The dining area has x2 chairs and a table.

The bedroom area has one double bed, a wardrobe and drawers for clothes.

The Cabin also boasts a spacious deck at the front with a view of vineyards. An outdoor table setting plus an extra outdoor laundry sink with hot running water. Great for washing bigger pans and dishes, hand washing clothes or cleaning fish. Underneath the outdoor sink you will find an electric BBQ.

Fly screens are installed on windows & the sliding door.

Quite times are between 11pm & 9am so please keep music and other noise to a minimum during these times
Air-conditioner must be switched OFF whilst your out and about. Key to be left in key safe whilst out
Wifi is limited to 3 gigs per short stay. As the cabin shares only 30 gigs per month with the main house guests. extra wifi fees for long term guests.

The bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was fine. But the dust was thick on many surfaces - the top of the fridge, microwave, skirting boards, power points, venetian blinds, and doorway. Also the TV had no signal much of the time so I was appreciative of a pack of cards and 50 year old National Geographic magazines to pass the time.

STAYZ was a problem

Stayz didnt confirm email before taking the booking so I didnt get conformation email. Stayz sent entry code as email not SMS so until I got internet we were locked out

Great little pad!!!

The black cat is a great little set up studio for one or two!! Nice and clean with everything plus more then you need. In a nice quiet street with your own back entrance! Great place will visit again if in the area 👍

Great Country Getaway

Had a fantastic time despite the weather (43c), the accommodation was clean, tidy and perfect for our needs. Aircon kept up with the heat. All essentials were provided which was fantastic (tp/milk/cooking supplies), Janet was lovely to deal with! Only tip: BRING BUG SPRAY! Thanks Janet!

The cabin

Really peaceful and lovely retreat. Cabin had everything you can need. Close to the river and the local General Store.

No phone reception

No phone or internet reception and no way to stop insects entering. Property looked just as advertised, pretty, but very very rural

It's a friendly neighbourhood in a great location for stargazing or water activitie. Its a perfect place to to escape. Ideal for couples or solo travellers.
The main house on our property is also rented for stort stays when we are not using it ourselves. The privacy between the two building and guests is very good. The cabin has its own private entrance from the rear of the property and the main house is at the front facing Day Street.

Only 2 klms from the rivers edge, So well away from the noisy jet skis and other holiday makers. Dark skies for stargazers, peaceful. Stays from 2 nights to 2 months or longer by negotiation, depending on current bookings.
