Wonderful, private home directly on the beach! Lovingly maintained and cared for. On the quietest part of the beach, some days it feels like you have your own private beach in front of you. Watch the shorebirds and look for dolphins. Great windsurfing and surfing. Parking for 4+ cars, sleeps 6. Has one king bed, one queen, and a set of bunkbeds. 2 bedrooms (king and queen) have views of the ocean with direct access to the wide porch off the back. Thoughtful, open floor plan and comfortably furnished. BRAND NEW roof and expansive deck! 5 min drive to the historic downtown, with shopping and restaurants. Home, due to zoning, must be rented for at least 30 days. Open to pets, no pet fee. Come experience the Amelia Island lifestyle!

Fantastic place!

Loved our stay! View was beyond gorgeous. Owner super nice and great communication. House is adorable w all the stated amenities. Comfy for couples or family - we don’t have little kids but they would love it,too.

PERFECT location, could use updates

LOCATION: We stayed for 5 weeks mid-Jan to mid-Feb. You just can't beat the location; literally just 50 steps to the beach! A great back deck with adirondack furniture. Beautiful sunrises from two bedrooms and dolphins most every morning. Downtown Fernandina is a quick 10 min drive (at most) to shopping, dining, or nightlife, and there are 2 restaurant/bars within walking distance on the beach, one in each direction. Of course, shark tooth hunting happens all up and down this beach. CONDITION: This house is someone's family vacation spot, not a corporate owned rental so it has more of the family's personal tastes reflected in the decorating. The house's main areas were clean but items like ceiling fans, mopboards and under beds were coated with dust/dirt and the house is in need of updates to the showers (new showerheads & refreshed caulk). There were numerous small repairs that left the impression the house was well-used, if not well-loved. Probably the most pressing need is new furniture in the living area; the couches and chairs present are not supportive or comfortable (we're in our 50's). If you're staying for a long weekend or a week they would be tolerable but we dreaded the sun going down and having to stay inside on that furniture. BEDS: The beds were all quite comfortable and supportive in the 2 main bedrooms (we didn't use the bunkbeds) and each had comfortable bedding and extra pillows/lonens. KITCHEN: while it is not updated with SS appliances all worked fine for us and we found most everything we needed during our stay was in the cupboards. It has a nice layout for preparing meals. BATHROOMS: sinks and toliets were fine, showers need new showerheads (they are clogged with deposits reducing water flow) and some repairs to caulking (minor mold growth). We would have loved additional 4-6 bathroom towels so we didn't have to do laundry as often. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the owner was super easy and positive to work with.
