Great beach house

Great house for a family stay. Nice walk to the beach, even our dog had a blast! Love the multiple decks for eating or watching the sunrise or stargazing at night.

What a view!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Being so close to the beach was amazing. Loved all the outdoor spaces. Interior decor could be updated but the location was outstanding!

Our family had a wonderful mini Christmas vacation in Amelia Island. The home has amazing views and great character. We definitely recommend!

Great Location!

This property is the perfect location on Amelia Island. We were able to bike to the state park, the green way, and even downtown. We had beautiful sunrises to witness from the comfort of the bedroom and living room.

Dissapointing

Although the location is perfect and the decks great I was dissapointed with the rental. The house was quite dirty especially the couches, rugs, floors and windows. The pictures shown for the property are not indicative of of the current condition.

Great location

The location is amazing. Great view of the beach and right next to a boardwalk over the dunes. The roof-height patio gives you amazing views 360 views. Bar and restaurant are within walking distance also. The house is older and needs a little updating, but it was clean and comfortable. The leasing company that rents it out are not the best communicators. I texted in the app a couple of days before our stay asking about the coffee maker and never heard back from them. The check-in instructions they sent talked about having to stop by the office and get a key, but when I called they said that was not necessary. Overall, it was a great stay and we would stay here again - because of the views and location!

Great location and well-laid-out property, house needs maintenance

Loved the view and the short walk to the beach. The multi-level decks were marvelous. The cabinets and floor boards were all peeling and in terrible shape, though. It's so damp by the sea the owners might consider unfinished cedar or something similar that weathers well. Also the practice of providing no sponge or dishtowels, and only a single role of thin toilet paper and a single bar of cheap soap seems unnecessarily cheap for a moderately priced vacation rental. A few more basic amenities would be nice! I'd come again, though - just pointing out a few suggestions for upkeep.

Great Location—but house needs some love

There is a large palm branch which made getting to the stairs a challenge! House was sufficient but the the sofas and king bed desperately need cleaning/replacing. All fabric is ripped, dirty, and/or falling down (like drapes). The mattress cover is worn out and barely even functioning. The king sheets didn’t fit the bed! Take your own pillows!!! Strong bleach smell upon entering the unit (COVID-19), but floors, baseboards not very clean. Very dated with old furnishings, and cabinets had taped edges rather than fixing. Downstairs laundry room worked nicely to secure our e-bikes. We did not use the washer/dryer. Location is very good for beach and roads. Unfortunately this 1940 house looks like it... Never turned on a tv. Close to Fort Clinch and downtown Fernandina. The outdoor decks were very nice, especially the top balcony . Thoroughly enjoyed the ocean breeze from that perch!

Beach getaway

Lovely, quirky, property. The second bathroom is only accessible from outside and down stairs with additional key. Accepting this, that room also has laundry facilities, added storage, and a wonderful folding table. The view from decks, living room, dining area, and master bath are to die for. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Location

If you want to wake up to beautiful sunrises, this should be your selection. Sundeck, deck off the master bedroom, and deck off the kitchen are fabulous. Bright and airy kitchen, dining area and living room. Pet friendly!

Serene ocean view

As close and convenient to the beach as you could possibly get. Really neat older house that has a ton of character to it. The three story platform was great for views too. We were able to bring our dogs which is a must for us when traveling. The beach was very quiet which we loved! We will definitely be back.
