Otter Slide is the name of this Great River Retreat, and it just got better with 3 Bedrooms, 3 full baths (Sleeps 6) + 2 if needed. Great for 2-3 couples and/ or Families. enjoy a drink on the deck, while watching the fish jump into the adjoining waterway.. Take advantage of the private heated pool, the double kayak and 2 single kayaks,1 tandem bike and 2 single bikes. Enjoy the quiet, relaxed seclusion, of this waterfront property. It is only five minutes direct boat access to the clear Homosassa River and twenty minutes to the Gulf of Mexico. See the manatees and dolphins and other nature or just enjoy the fishing, boating and golf courses in this tranquil area of Florida. Homosassa is only a one hour drive north of Tampa and one hour & 45 minutes to Orlando..

The Nature Coast of Florida deserves its name, with over ninety-eight thousand acres set aside as federal, state or county parks and preservation areas. It is a delight to all nature lovers, with extensive boating, fishing and golf courses within easy driving distance.

Old Homosassa is a preservation area with restricted development and still has a lot of the charm. The local supermarkets are only five minutes away, if you drive. Crystal River is only a 15 minute drive north.

Beautiful retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. House was a great getaway for our family and we loved the heated pool and kayaks! We cooked dinner on the grill and overall had a great time relaxing at the house. It was centrally located to our local activities and check-in was very smooth. I’m glad we brought some of our own towels for the pool but otherwise the house had everything we needed.

Love the location the house is perfect. The only thing we had no heat and it was very cold in the morning the thermostat was not working. It was disconnected from the heating unit and the pool was not heated as it stated in the description. One bedroom was missing a TV and also one of the master room mattresses was so uncomfortable. I went out and bought a mattress firm cover to get a good nights sleep. Other than that I would definitely book the house for next year.

Lovely and Peaceful

A nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room to spread out. Huge screened in porch and a patio overloooking the canal. Plenty of "toys" -' kayaks, bikes etc. We really enjoyed the home!

Great stay

Very clean! and 3 large bedrooms (2 with their own bathrooms) were perfect for us. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful lanai and outdoor porch on the creek! Host was super responsive. Would book again!

Winter getaway

This property was everything we hoped it would be. The house was so comfy, clean and in an awesome location. My youngest son fished the entire time and is already asking when we are going back. Thanks for providing a great house filled with amenities.

Very nice property, clean and comfortable. A little maneuvering to get two boats on the dock but doable. The pool and deck are great.

R&R at it's Finest

Absolutely beautiful location, spacious and airy with gorgeous viws but not too big. Just the right size with lots of outdoor area to rest, relax and swim. Perfectly appointed and well thought out. We enjoyed breakfast on the breezy deck while watching manatees float by. Everyone we met was super friendly, including the Great Blue Heron that came by several times to see what we were up too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful and Well Appointed

Quiet location with a surprising amount of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. Could choose between deck, screened in patio, pool, or comfortable living room when not out hiking, kayaking, or exploring. Beds and baths newer and nicer than many rental properties.

3rd time's a charm!

Our third time at this home was the best yet. Since the renovations and addition of a bedroom and 2 bathrooms, this is a true family getaway spot. 2 king beds and a queen allow for 6 adults to sleep comfortably. Comfortable furniture and a well-appointed kitchen make it easy to relax and prepare meals (if you choose). The house location with deck and boat dock is situated in the ideal place for trips up or down river. Pleasant boat rides to the springs, gulf, or nearby restaurants are easy as you're steps away from the dock. Have your morning coffee on the lanai or deck or take a swim in the pool. Hopefully, the the third trip wont be our last to Otter Slide.

Perfect home for our spring break vacation 2 years in a row!

Perfect location for docking our boats for fishing, great pool to cool down and have fun, the new bedroom and attached bathroom was perfect! We love your home and look forward to next year.

Amazing home on the river

This home is one of the best we have stayed at. It is super comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and I can't say enough about the outside. We had a great stay and will be back the next time we come to see our family. If I had to pick one item to improve it would be an easier way to get into the kayaks. Other than that it is a 5 star from our family.

Beautiful Home

If you plan on traveling to Homossassa, this house has it all. Three spacious bedrooms, three bathrooms, open living area with a fully furnished kitchen, heated pool, a dock in the back big enough to fit my 24 foot boat and plenty of parking for our truck and trailer. The house was immaculately clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back!

Amazing!

Everything about this place was great! Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, loved the pool and deck. We saw manatees 2 different times right at the dock! Loved having the use of the kayaks and bikes. We can't wait to come back!

Peaceful, nature retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful, spotless and we'll stocked with everything we needed!! We loved having the bikes to explore and used the tandem kayak almost daily. The heated pool was a definite plus as well. Sitting on the deck was so relaxing and peaceful. Loved the sounds of nature and the bird visitors. We cannot wait to return!!!

Great property in a great location

We had a great time staying here. We were comfortable and had plenty of room. Property owner was quick to respond and the neighbors were mostly friendly. A quiet neighborhood in a great location.
