Welcome to your retreat by the creek! This family-friendly home is full of places to kick back and relax after a fun day, including a private firepit and hot tub! The private hot tub is covered, so you can soak in comfort. Spend quality time together on the lovingly furnished deck (equipped with an outdoor wood-burning fireplace), and grill up something tasty on the private gas grill. The full kitchen inside features helpful full-size appliances, as well as a helpful prep island that doubles as a breakfast bar with room for four guests. Enjoy one of the provided board games in the living room before heading up to bed. Every bedroom has a private entrance to a bathroom, so there will be no late-night worries. Come spend time together at this lovely home.

Serenity at it’s best!

Loved our time as this fantastic house! The location in Rockaway is unbeatable and the setup out back was so relaxing and perfect to gather with friends/family and hang out. Very clean and good amenities. Easy walk to the beach. We will be back!

Great place to stay with friends. Clean and great location. Short walk to the beach. Loved the outdoor fireplace! Cushions on the patio and barstools could be updated and the addition of throw blankets. Otherwise it was perfect!

Cute beach home with creek side view

A cute beach home with great outdoor spaces. A small creek runs on the property line and allows for quiet mornings sipping coffee or an evening enjoying a beverage by the fire. Large bedrooms and shared bathrooms allow for everyone to have their own space. Home would really benefit from a fresh coat of interior paint in high traffic areas and carpet cleaning or replacement. Hot tub was clean. The kitchen is nice and has just about everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal. Some spices available as well as some coffee and filters of you don't bring your own. We had some issues with cleanliness and contacted Vacasa. They were able to resolve it the next day. Overall pleasant stay.

Beware the house is great but……..

It has been not taken care of. Such as very very old carpets with stains. So many broken things in the house such as shower in one of the bathrooms also when you open a cabinet if it is in the kitchen or random the cabinets are coming off the hinges the house does not look like it has been painted since 1983 on the inside. I would be embarrassed to let anyone see walls that are so scuffed. If they do repairs paint and get new cabinets this place would be a 9 or 10 out of 10. I just recommend not staying here till they do.

Great location, not clean

Great location for proximity to Rockaway, Nahlem, and other towns nearby. A short drive to Cannon Beach as well. Upon arrival we found a dirty glass by the tub, glass on the floor in an upstairs bedroom with bottle cap, hair on bedsheets/floor, a hole in a shower/door doesn’t work well, etc. Needless to say there is no way the place was cleaned. We were told at noon we were even ready for an early check-in. There is no way that in under 2 hours it was cleaned and still looks that way. Also communication regarding this matter was never really resolved. We talked to one person that said they would get back to us, never did. Pets are allowed but carpet cleaning is needed when pets have been there as there are stains on the carpet. Linens that don’t look soiled would go a long way and a deep cleaning to make this rentable for the cost. If a clean house doesn’t bother you then this is the place to stay.

Clean, comfortable and private

Great house at Rockaway. There’s a little creek behind the house with a forested area and hammock the kids loved exploring. Felt very private and relaxing. The fire pit was perfect for marshmallow roasting and the bbq and back deck were an awesome addition. Rooms are big and beds are pretty comfortable. Towels were clean and plentiful. Furniture look newer and in good shape. The open living space downstairs was perfect for our group of seven to hang out together. Just a short drive to shops and the beach. Very clean. Would stay here again!

Perfect

This house was perfect for our large family. The amenities were great especially the fire pit and hot tub. Everything we needed was available and the beach was straight down the road. We will definitely book here again.

Creekside getaway

The layout of this spacious house makes it very easy for friends and family to share experience and also have alone time. It is a lovely neighborhood and and a nice little walk to the beach and restaurants. I like cooking in this kitchen, which is open to the activity going on downstairs. The back yard offers plenty of ways to relax. Cheers. We will be back.

Excellent stay!

Great place to stay

We had a girls weekend at this home. It was a great place with many large comfortable areas to interact in. We really enjoyed the ceiling stereo, two fireplaces one inside one outside, comfy couches and huge bench style kitchen table for games.

Wonderful location for Thanksgiving

Our family of seven enjoyed our seven-day stay at Creekside Retreat in Rockaway Beach for Thanksgiving. The home had enough space to spread out, relax, and cook our Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking dishes and utensils. All three bedrooms were comfortable, spacious, and private. The two bathrooms upstairs were large, and the powder room on the first floor was great. Having access to a washer and dryer were very appreciated. We enjoyed using the hot tub and hearing the babbling creek. The home was close enough to the beach and restaurants in town that we could walk in ten minutes or easily drive. During the high season, I’m sure the home’s distance from 101 would be appreciated to be away from the traffic of the highway. We also explored the other towns north and south of Rockaway Beach, which were easy to get to and fun to experience. Some suggestions for improvements to the home include fixing leaking fixtures in the larger upstairs bathroom, adding handrails to outdoor stairs, and adding more space for food storage in the kitchen.

Relaxing

This lovely home tucked back into Rockaway is absolutely beautiful! The cozy backyard sits right in front of a beautiful creek . It was very relaxing . We loved the dog beds but I'd say our two pups loved them more. Aside from the terrible stiff mattress. This has been my favorite place to stay

Great location

Property was great for our family! Easy access to beach and lots of room for us to be together while at house. Property was clean, and hot tub was great. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, and bedrooms/bathrooms were large and gave plenty of room. Will book again.

Great house in quite neighborhood

Really nice updated kitchen with most anything you need. Quite neighborhood. Our only complaint was the design of the upstairs. There is a “jack-n-Jill” bathroom connecting what appears to be two master bedrooms. It’s not a big deal if you’re traveling with family or close friends, but just a strange design. Also, the cover to the hot tub is dented inwards like if someone fell onto it. Also, the house is definitely not walking distance to the beach.

Fishing trip

The property was just as advertised. It is a comfortable relaxing house with great design.The little creek right besides the house is an added bonus open the window and go to sleep with the relaxing sound of the water!

Not what expected

Furniture was cheaply made and half broken. Hot tub did not work. Did not realize it was so close to other houses. There was kids and people that you can hear all around.

AMAZING HOUSE

Not What We Expected - Dirty and Not Well Stocked

The layout of the house was perfect for gathering our family to spend quality time together. It had a great indoor outdoor space for hanging out. Having just a short walk from a quiet and nice neighborhood to the beach and town was convenient. On the other hand, we were very disappointed with a dirty house and lack of supplies to get us through 4 nights for a party of 7. I’ve stayed at multiple vacation rentals and I do my research before making a reservation. The reviews and pictures did not line up with our experience. We received a text that we could check in a couple of hours early, and I feel like those extra hours could have been used to detail clean the house and make sure the basics were well stocked. When we pulled up in the driveway, we noticed outside of the home had layers of cobwebs and dirt - it wasn’t a good first impression. When we walked in the front door, the light fixtures hanging above the island had caked on layers of dirt. The layers of dust didn’t just appear since the last cleaning - they haven’t been cleaned for a very long time. The patio chairs near the hot tub held pools of water and leaves (it didn’t rain before our arrival). The back deck just looked dirty (yes, we understand it’s an outside space - the table next to the fireplace can be cleaned and the deck/rug can be swept for a fresh look). Our first night, we had to clean dirty serving dishes and measuring cups that were stored in the kitchen before we could prepare our dinner - the casserole dish had stuck on crusty food and the measuring cups had old cooking oil on the inside. There was a pubic hair on top of a toilet lid upstairs. There was hair and dust behind the master room bathroom door. The towels around the home were damp upon arrival - it was not a good experience drying hands with damp towels. Speaking of towels, the towels had a musty smell in the bathrooms after showers. We were also given ONE dish drying towel and ONE kitchen hand towel for 4 nights. We ended up using bathroom hand towels and washcloths in the kitchen. We only had access to a few dishwasher cleaning detergent tabs, 3 kitchen garbage bags, and 2 rolls of back up toilet paper for our long weekend. We asked a family member to bring extra kitchen and bathroom supplies to finish our weekend. Thank goodness we brought our own salt to cook our food because the few tablespoons left in the cupboard wasn’t enough for our party of 7 for 4 nights and 3 days as we made all of our meals. I wish we would have packed a cheese grater for taco night instead of assuming there would be one available to use in the kitchen. The carpet was stained and it felt like there wasn’t any padding underneath. The pictures on the website look good, but our experience didn’t match. I have to add that Vacasa was very prompt checking in with us and did a good job communicating with us as we shared some of our experience the first night. They forwarded our concerns and observations to the relevant department They mentioned the local staff was notified for the next course of action. I was impressed with their response time and genuine care. We had a great time in the home - great memories were created. I just would have expected a rental home to be detailed cleaned and well stocked. We will not be returning to this home.
