Alpine Coast Cottage - Meredith Lodging

Enjoy easy access to the ocean from this shingled beauty in downtown Rockaway! Located just one block from miles of sandy beach on a quiet, residential street, this sweet vintage home has thoughtful updates for a special stay. Sleek wood floors, leather furnishings and a large flat-screen TV make the living room an inviting place to gather. A backyard gas grill supplements the fully equipped, charming kitchen for dining in. One bedroom downstairs has its own bath; upstairs you’ll find a queen bedroom and a king bedroom that share a bath.

Not only are you close to the beach, but you are just walking distance to dining and shopping in Rockaway Beach and near the station for the Oregon Coast Scenic Railway, so you can take a steam engine train ride to Garibaldi and back along coastal and scenic byways. You can rent a kayak or canoe and adventure out on Rockaway’s inland lakes or catch crab from the dock at Jetty Fishery. This home can also serve as your launching pad for exploration of the North Coast—Tillamook, Manzanita, Neahkahnie Mountain, Seaside, Cannon Beach and Astoria are easy day trips. No matter what your plans, your coastal stay will be extra sweet with time at this perfectly located home!

Great Location by the Beach

Overall great stay. The house had everything we needed, the check-in was easy, and it was only a 2 min walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay and perfect location

We enjoyed our stay SO MUCH! This was our first visit to the Oregon coast and the entire time I was wishing for the next visit to come already. The house was perfect, plenty of space even though the house looks small on the outside. The bedrooms were great and we would recommend this spot to anyone!

Wonderful getaway.

The stay at Rockaway beach was fantastic. We were a short walk from the beach and there was a bench for my mother in law to sit and watch the family near the water. It was an easy drive to Astoria to see where Goonies and Kindergarten Cop were filmed. Tillamook was a hit also. Great stay over all.

Bathrooms are located thru bedrooms this is not stated in the listing, very disappointed to have to bother people when sleeping to access restrooms. Location was the best part of this home.

Great place to stay

The only complaint I have about this place is the upstairs bathroom sink and the kitchen sink clogged up. Otherwise, all was great!! Spacious and comfortable and a great location.

Amazing location

We had a great reunion with my daughter and her friend at this great location. The home is equipped with all the necessities including a full-sized washer and dryer. I appreciate the dog-friendly environment as my Frenchie goes all places with us. I will book this location again

Memorial Day 2025

Just the right size for 3 couples and a young adult. 5 minute walk to the beach. 10 minute walk into Rockaway for shopping, snacks, and food. Had a little trouble with the large coffee maker brewing effectively but hopefully resolved for the next guests.

We had a great stay. Very comfy and clean house. Upstairs beds very nice. We didn't use the downstairs bedroom. Check in and check out very easy. Great location. Only downside is not an good outdoor area to relax. Just a couple of chairs. Would be nice if there was a covered area with some outdoor furniture. Maybe a gas firepit.

Great location, nice property

The house was comfortable & well-furnished - except for lack of dishwasher. And why is the DVD player in a bedroom? But overall, the house is within walking distance of nearly everything, & was equipped with everything we needed.

Excellent Family Vacation Setting

We visited over Thanksgiving weekend. It was an excellent home for our family with our two sons, their wives and grandchildren (2.) The home easily accommodated the extended family and the little kiddos. The location to the beach was perfect. Easy two block walk to beach access. The beach is sandy and at low tide, lots of treasures to be found. We didn't know about the town Christmas festivities so that was an unexpected treat. Definitely would return and recommend this home for anyone looking to have a place to celebrate or gather with adult children and grandkids.

Rockaway Getaway

Over all, we would stay there again. Just a couple issues. Back door was through the 3rd bedroom. It presented certain problems for us but might not for another group. Coffee maker had a broken rim and didn’t pour right unless top was removed. The beach is so close and just the quaintest little Oregon town.

Close to beach. Comfortable king bed upstairs. Lots of rules and regulations for the house and big process to even rent. Pictures online are older pictures. Outside dont look like that. Downstairs shower has moldy caulking needs redone. Shower upstairs drains very very slowly needs addressed. Bathroom was dirty. Has a bar of soap stuck to the wall. For the price and all of the rules and regulations and all the hoops and the conditions dont think i would rent again.
