Entire Rental Unit Saint Paul Lovely Modern Home

You will have access to the entire left side of the duplex. Walk into the cozy living room and watch a movie on the 55’’ flatscreen TV. Cook your favorite meal in the fully equipped kitchen, then have a family dinner in the dining room.

Both bedrooms are located upstairs. The master bedroom has a comfy king bed with a memory foam mattress to catch up on sleep. Utilize the desk and chair to get some work done. The second bedroom has a twin bed with dressers to put your close away if you’ll be staying for a while. Extra sleeping space which can be arranged in the main living room downstairs.

The TV on the lower level is equipped with Netflix and Amazon Prime - feel free to log into your streaming accounts, we only ask that you log out before leaving. **Please note--there is no cable TV**

Unable to climb the stairs so we left n got a hotel room. I texted Delvin the host because I wanted a refund or provide another place. The place he recommended was too far from our relatives. I texted Delvin with no response. He has been a terrible host. I want a full refund. I have spoken to Vrbo headquarters n I have a case number. Thank you

As mentioned in the summary it is an older home so expect all that comes with an older home. We didn't use the kitchen so can't provide any feedback. There is off street parking, but can be tricky if either renter has multiple cars to not block anybody into their side. Neighborhood is quiet and very residential.

Close to concert venue

We were looking for somewhere close to stay while going to concerts Friday and Saturday night. 10-15 to stadiums so was perfect. The refrigerator water and ice did not work so that was frustrating. My husband mentioned that the shower was made for short people. But that is what you get in an older house. It was clean. My flat iron for my hair would not stay plugged into the socket in the bedroom so had to wait until bathroom was available. We got what we were looking for something close to the venue at reasonable price.

Lovely and Great Location

Clean, spacious and Delvin was extremely helpful. The communication before check-in went smoothly. So close to the wonderful zoo. Quiet and peaceful. We would stay there again!

Short, but great stay

Delvin was very accommodating. We had to Change our stay from 2 nights to one last minute, and he issued a refund promptly. The home was clean, check in process was easy, neighborhood was quiet. We didn’t use the lower level at all, but everything was clean and as advertised.

Cute and clean, great communication

Upon pulling up to the property I was a little worried about the listing, that it really would be nice inside as the outside looked a little rough, but once we walked in, it was great! Like the listing said, modern decor and very cute. The building is old with a pretty narrow staircase and the steps are not very large either so I had to be careful to use the railing and even wall sideways down the steps sometimes. The carpet going up the steps was a little slippery too and worn. Kitchen was so cute!

Some things aren't as they say

Listed as a modern home. Was probably 70 years old. The couch was broken. The appliances were from the seventies. Cracks you could see through in the bathroom door. Walls looked dirty or smoke stained. We spent 10 minutes looking around and left. E ded up staying at a hotel in Minneapolis for the 3 days I booked. Contacted the owner and negotiated that she would refund me half of the money which i felt was more than fair. In exchange i would say nothing negative about the stay. It has been over a month and i still haven't seen a refund. The biggest issue was misrepresenting the home as modern. I've worked hard to be able to not have to stay in rundown places anymore and was extremely disappointed.

Short but sweet

The neighborhood was beautiful! A little out of the way, but perfect for our small getaway. There was some noise across the street but considering it seemed like a pool party for children, if that's the worst of the noise then I'd gladly take it. The house itself was very clean, apart from a small issue that was immediately addressed. The stairs are a little thin and the only bathroom is upstairs, so just a heads up for those who are less coordinated! The beds are extremely comfortable and clean! The kitchen was well suited to our needs! Overall, a great property. I would stay here again. Thanks Delvin! Kelly

Good overall

Besides a shortage of towels, everything was good. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. The outside could use more curb appeal, but the inside is clean, well decorated and homey. The property is older so the stairs are steep and squeaky but overall it was a nice place to stay. The host was also responsive to any questions we had.

Close to city, cute neighborhood

Check in was super easy. You can tell the owners have done work to make the place nicer, as it is an older house. Easy to find, easy to get in and out. Would stay again.

Not worth the price

This is an old, beat-up property that has not been carefully restored. Only the cheapest and most minimal efforts have been made to make it rentable. It is unattractive and it looks like the owners just bought the cheapest stuff they could find. The heat and the TV do work, and so does the Wifi, but that’s all we could say that is positive. Outside: There is no off street parking allowed. The back entrance was unusable because snow was not shoveled and was frozen onto the porch. Living Room: The picture online shows armchairs that were not actually in the room. The furniture was cheap, worn, and uncomfortable, especially the couch, which has large sections of padding missing from the cushions. Dining Room: Two out of the four dining room chairs were so wobbly they could not safely be sat on. The whole place was full of cheap “decorations,” including fake plants, some with leaves falling off and some with the price tags still on. Only one lamp for the entire living room/dining room area. The stairs to the upper level are steep, non-standard width, and covered with dirty old shag carpeting. No one with any kind of mobility issue should stay here, and it is not appropriate for young children because of the condition of the stairs. Bedrooms: The beds were comfortable but there were not enough blankets. One bedroom has a rickety dresser; the other has a closet with four hangers. We asked for bedside lamps ahead of time; on arriving we found a good lamp in one bedroom, but a broken lamp with no shade in the other. Bathroom: The shower can’t be used by anyone tall as it is under a slanted ceiling. It is just a handheld nozzle on the wall. The nozzle hose leaked and the shower hook came apart. There are broken tiles on the floor and walls. There was not even a box of tissues, and only two rolls of toilet paper were provided for a 5-night stay. Kitchen: The handle on the refrigerator door was broken and the freezer had a bad smell. What appears in the pictures to be marble countertops were in fact plywood with tacky, poorly applied contact paper in a “marble” pattern. Communication: Most owners provide their guests with a booklet of instructions for parking, checking out, etc. Not here. We received the bare minimum of information in emails and had to ask for checkout instructions the day before we left. We have stayed in lots of places with VRBO and this is the worst. I would not recommend it and would certainly not stay here again.

Nice simple and quiet duplex.

We needed a place to stay close to family at Thanksgiving time. This duplex worked well for us as a place to sleep (we were not there much during the day). We found the duplex, simple, clean and quiet. A washer and dryer in the basement was a nice option to have. The manager responded quickly to questions.
