Beautiful northwoods location. We would have preferred for it to be more private. The owners home and another property are too close. The accommodations were clean. And a plus to be pet friendly. Our over-all stay was nice. The back-door lock requires repair.

Beautiful home and property!! The views were amazing, so peaceful, with beautiful sunsets. The home is spotless and decor is beautiful! We enjoyed sitting out by the lake which is just steps from the home. We came up for a peaceful, relaxing vacation and that's just what we got. Location is great and close to town. We even caught a couple fish right off the pier. Great place overall!

What a great little house. Perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend getaway. House had pretty much everything you needed to get started. We were in the area for a wedding, and only stayed 3 days, but mostly cooked there, and we had everything we needed but a thermometer for the meat, that was about the only thing I wish I had grabbed before heading out. We brought our labrador who went crazy over being on the water. Although the weather was pretty cold and windy (we just happened to stay during a cold spell in Sept), she swam as much as we allowed her. We also went on a hike with her at Holy Cross Trail in Fifield, WI. It was about a 20 minute drive from where we were located. Very nice trail, a little scary not knowing what is lurking around, but since our dog is a hunting dog she is used to this type of thing and went crazy in and out of the dense brush forest.When on the road where the rental is located, drive slow. The deer pretty much come out on the road and look at you like you are in their way :). They were so pretty, and super friendly it seemed, they did not run off at the sight of humans and would just casually walk back into the woods.We only spoke to the owner when we arrived, he happened to be leaving as we were pulling in. Very friendly, and laid back. They have a book of instructions and some helpful information for someone new to the area. Great experience overall. Thanks!

My girlfriend and I loved this cabin. It had everything we were looking for. The cabin was very clean. The views from the cabin and outside are amazing. The sunsets are unbelievable. You're right on the lake with a dock maybe 30 feet away. Perfect getaway cabin. We definitely will be back.

The cabin was very neat and clean when I walked in. Pretty much anything you need in the kitchen is there. I met the host on the first day, super nice! And knowing they were right next door made me feel at ease if something were to happen.

Excellent place for a relaxing up north experience!!!

Traveled w family of 5 & 2 dogsFrom Menomonee Falls, WIBetter than described & very clean!! Large driveway for our 2 vehicles & boat trailer. We brought our fishing boat & two kayaks. Large shed had a gas & a charcoal grill, paddle boat, floaties, sand toys, yard cart, life jacket, boat cushion & lawn chairs. 2 kayaks & canoe also there to use. Large deck w table & chairs. KIT well supplied & had a drip coffee maker. 2 BRs w queen & full beds, dressers & large closets. LR had queen futon & 2 reclining chairs that the boys even slept in. We brought extra sheets, towels & TP. Also life jackets & floaties. There is a vacuum & cleaning supplies. Lots of books, games, puzzles & AC. We didn’t turn TV on once, but was well setup. Pretty lake! We enjoyed floating, kayaking, fishing, wildlife & beautiful sunsets (despite the Canadian smoke). Saw loons, eagles, deer, herons, mud puppy, turtles, frogs, river otters & red squirrels. Caught bluegills, northern pikes, crappies & perch. Had camp fires & the yard was professionally sprayed for mosquitoes which was wonderful not to get all bit up! Friendly town where we went disc golfing, shopping & to concrete park (dogs allowed at park but bring mosquito spray!). Also drove to Timm's Hill & Mercer. Septic alarm went off one evening but owner had us hit the silence button in the front closet, then he had the honey wagon come the next morning. Nice owners, thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven w us!!

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin. Owners were very pleasant but privacy is something to consider. The owners home was within feet of the cabin. We were just looking for a bit more. Overall experience and stay was very nice

My stay was perfect. The cabin is comfortable, clean, and has a well-equipped kitchen. A cart is provided for transporting luggage and supplies from car to cabin. I was looking for peace and quiet, and I found it.

Stayed in this charming lakeside cabin. The property is meticulously clean, very well equipped and super comfortable. The owners guest booklet tells you everything you need to know plainly and directly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Water view, sunsets, dog friendly, clean as a whistle

The property is 25’ from the water, was up to date, very nicely furnished, spacious, had everything we needed, close to great restaurant, parks, and Phillips was close for groceries, and restaurants. We could have fished right off the dock. We had a campfire every night while awaiting the sunsets. Comfortable beds and furniture. The only thing that was a bit difficult for us because of our age and bad knees, was having to take our luggage and food for the week down a hill. They provided a large wagon at the top. It wasn’t bad going down, but pulling the wagon back up several times to pack up was hard. Anybody w/a disability need to know about this ahead of time. We did it, and would come love to come back again…just would have packed differently and brought less. We met Jim the host a couple of times…very helpful and a nice person! It was a great choice!

Outstanding Retreat

Cabin was well decorated and it felt like home. Very clean. Wonderful view of the water from a nice deck. Sunsets were the best. The wood ceilings were unique. You can't get any closer to the water than this cabin.

Wonderful

One of our best stays ever. Place was extremely clean with everything you would need. The westward view over the lake was incredible with wonderful sunsets. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Pictures don't do the cabin justice--the interior was recently remodeled and felt like home.

Beautiful cabin and beautiful lake. Places to eat nearby. Owners are very nice and really enjoyed being able to kayak the lake. So happy that they allowed us to bring our dog. Will definately come back again.
