* Large fully equipped 2 story home on 1.4 acres located in Bass Lake Heights, the Sierra Nevada forest foothills.
* Located only 3.5 miles up from Highway 41 at Oakhurst, just 19 miles to the Yosemite Park entrance.
* Only a short 3 minutes’ drive to the southwest side of Bass Lake where all the main public recreation picnic areas are located. (Folding chairs are located in the garage for lakeside use).
* Large patio deck with stunning uninterrupted views to the west.
* Sleeping arrangements for up to 10, with 4 bedrooms, a roll-away, and a baby travel crib.
* All facilities are provided - sheets, towels, cooking utensils, many plates - cups - bowls, glassware - small- large + wine, dishwasher, large refrigerator with icemaker, cooktop gas stove, convec. oven, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, tea, coffee, flour, sugar, wide choice of cooking condiments and 5 burner BBQ + side burner on patio deck.
* Air conditioning and heating: Two large units, one dedicated to upstairs, and another for the entrance level floor. The upstairs room with 2 bunk beds and a queen, have a dedicated interior air conditioning unit, and a heater is kept in the room.
* Power Outages: These are quite common anywhere in the Sierra Nevada foothills, sometimes for extended periods of time. While few properties have back-up generators, we have invested in a high quality one that we have regularly serviced. When the power goes out, you will probably not even notice because it "kicks in" immediately.
* Two interior dining areas for up to 6 people in each, plus a six-seat patio dining table on the patio deck.
* For winter months, a fireplace in the lounge and another in the master bedroom, plus a LPG firepit on the patio deck.
* Smart TVs in 3 of the 4 bedrooms.
* WiFi.
* Laundry room, office, hobby desk, many games including darts in garage, large chess board in the lounge, plus board games/cards and puzzles and children's games located in the lounge cabinet drawers.
* Enclosed garage, plus wide-open spaces for additional vehicle parking. Ample parking for a boat with easy driveway access off Road 426 for towing.
* Many hiking trails, great fishing areas, boat rentals at The Forks (3 minutes’ drive away).
* Many local dining choices: At The Forks, across the lake in Pine's village (12-14 minutes’ drive) or in Oakhurst (7-8 minutes’ drive).

Beautiful View and Comfortable Accommodations

We stayed here for a large family Thanksgiving gathering, and the accommodations were very comfortable. The beds were comfortable to sleep in, and the views were gorgeous. Unfortunately, the kitchen appliances (stove and oven) were pretty dated, which made cooking a bit challenging as they took a very long time to cook in/on. The floor plan is very open and was perfect for entertaining. We would consider staying here again.

The Family Great Vacation

It was close to all that we wanted to see. Short drive to Bass Lake, Ca and Yosemite. We also went to Sequoia National Forest. Perfect spot to see all we had planned.

Nice place

The host responded in a timely manner and he was very informative I really appreciated that. The house was perfect for all of us. It was a little far from Yosemite entrance but, I was aware of it. The house had everything we needed for our stay . We definitely recommend this place.

Amazing Home in Beautiful Location

Wonderful stay

Came down from Arizona for the weekend and had a blast. House has a beautiful view, very close to the lake and Yosemite. Great place to stay very cozy and warming. John was very helpful and kind with information about stuff in the area as well. 10/10 would stay again.

Great space for Yosemite

Great property. The view is beautiful. The house is a great size for extended family. The only downside is there isn't a safe space to walk nearby. The house is on a two-lane winding road with no sidewalks. But would stay here again.

Excellent house for families to get together, for kids to run around. House had 2.5 bath, which was important - with a jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms. Very comfortable to stay in. 10 min drive to the supermarket. We were able to drive up to Badger Pass for skiing for the kids from this house. Reasonable prices with reasonable cleaning fees.

Absolute Perfection!

We traveled to Yosemite for our eldest son’s graduation! I looked at multiple properties and after communicating with the host, we felt confident that it would be the right choice! I was correct……the home exceeded our expectations in every way! From the mountain bluebird, deer and incredible gray fox that came to visit, the view from the deck was spectacular! The home was extremely spacious and our family of three teens were able to enjoy bonding time and then they had privacy within the upstairs bedrooms, bathroom and sitting area! The hosts are excellent communicators and extremely helpful! The property is close to Yosemite ant minutes from Bass Lake! My teens and husband said that it doesn’t deserve 5 out of 5 stars but instead they give it 10!!!!!!!!! I will definitely book again when we return to California from our home in Florida!

Had a great time

We had a wonderful time and the property worked nicely for us. Close to Oakhurst, Bass Lake, Yosemite. We had enough room for our large group to relax after our long days out and about. Owner was very helpful with communication and responses. Check in/out was a breeze. Thanks so much!

Awesome stay

John was awesome to rent from. he gave really good recommendations and pointers. We stood here to visit Yosemite for my wife's 40th bday. The property has awesome views of the sunset and deer running around the yard. The kids loved playing in the yard and swinging in the swings. property was clean and comfy. home had cooking supplies and spices which was helpful. Drive to the gate to Yosemite was about 30-40 min. and another 1 1/2 to the valley. Whole experience was excellent. home was perfect!!!

Fun in the snow

We came up to this property for the week after Christmas The house is super cute and very spacious for everybody to have their own space space. We got tons of snow and the property was perfect for it. We made snow ramps and did sledding and built Snowman it was absolutely it was absolutely magical

Excellent Home for Family Thanksgiving

We stayed here for Thanksgiving 2021. The home is quite spacious and had plenty of room for us and our 3 teenagers. The master suite is large with a fireplace and a jetted tub. There are three bedrooms upstairs, one which is a perfect bunk room for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and two large dining areas for us to enjoy. There is deck in back that has amazing views and was a perfect spot for breakfast. This home is just a few minutes to Bass Lake and a short drive to Oakhurst for food, gas, and groceries. If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely plan to stay here again.

Halloween weekend Get together.

This property is so beautiful the views are beautiful it’s very spacious the owners were very great 4 days prior to my stay the owners emailed me their phone number should I need to contact them I didn’t, they gave me very detailed directions how to get to and access the property. The picture doesn’t do this property justice it’s so amazing I will definitely be back

Awesome Family Vacation House

The house is immaculately clean and tidy. The kitchen has the basic necessities we need. We had a minor issue which property owner resolved in a timely manner. The overall experience is great and would recommend the place for a big family!

Spacious with a beautiful view

The property was easy to located with John's pointers. We had a really nice time staying at John's & Elsa's home and spending some quality family time. The home has a huge open floor plan for the dining room, family room, and kitchen areas which allows my family to hang out even while we are cooking. The room with the bunk beds and full size bed were a little too hot since there was no air vent. The kids ended up having to sleep on the floor in the main bedroom instead.... The view was beautiful and we even saw the sun set the first two nights. The only bummer thing was there were several persistent wasps outside the deck so we couldn't eat and hang out on the patio. The home was located very close to Bass Lake. We have easy access to grocery stores and restaurants. We had a really nice stay.
