Cozy Cottage by Spirit Lake

Open floor plan to allow for ease of stay with a big sectional couch for plenty of seating and a large dining room table to gather with family and friends. Oversized upstairs bedroom with 2 queen size beds. After a day on the beach for a swim, picnic or fishing off the pier, you can retreat to your private backyard that has a patio set, charcoal grill and bonfire pit. You can also enjoy the lake view from the front porch. Surrounding areas include numerous lakes for recreation and fishing. This vacation home is available all year to accommodate your stay for activities of year round hunting, fishing (ice), and winter fun. A 70 foot driveway enables you to park your boat, RV or snowmobile trailers. Power available for charging boat accessories. Itasca Headwaters is 30 min N, Park Rapids shopping 11 mi N and the grand Blueberry Pines Golf Course 3 mi N. Take the time to enjoy Menahga's local eateries including The Cottage House, Kahvila Cafe , Blueberry Pines Restaurant and the Menahga Bakery. We hope you enjoy your stay Up North!

Great mini vacation spot

Provate sauna is the highlight for us, outdoor area is great. Furnace of the house is a little loud at night, but far from a deal breaker. Will come back in the summer time

relaxing and peaceful

The short walk to the lake shore was enjoyed with coffee every morning. Coming back to a cozy cottage was very welcomed every night.

Fabulous stay

We loved the house. It was perfect for my husband and me and our two adult daughters. It had everything we needed and plenty of bath towels! My husband loved the coffee selection. We would definitely stay again!

Family Vacation

Wonderful stay in a wonderful location. Nicely furnished, very clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. Just the right size for our 4 person family. It was so nice to come back to such a comfortable and relaxing place after being out all day. Great place that we hope to return to someday.

Fantastic Property

I grew up in this small town. This property is a very short walk to the beach, the VFW Club, the Bakery, Restaurant. It was so much fun to simply "walk the town" - starting and ending at THE LAKE! Place is 100% geared toward VRBO guests - it was clean, neat and well worth the price.

Weekend reunion

We had an excellent stay for a weekend family reunion. The house comfortably accomodated our family of four, and provided an excellent location to get to local parks. We enjoyed the local bakery and coffee house, as well as being able to prepare some of our own meals. We would definitely recommend and come back in the future.

Very cute house. I understand this is a getaway cabin but just thought there would be a television somewhere. Maybe we are spoiled or 'City' people but we enjoy television.

Small town peaceful getaway

We kayaked, hiked and enjoyed a local concert by the lake. Unplugged for the long weekend. Nice to not have the temptation to watch television. Comfortable and clean home.

Cozy and comfortable

This property is clean and comfortable. Only thing missing was a tv. We just had 1 teenager with and our stay was short so we didn't miss it. It probably said no tv in the description and I didn't notice. Very nice cabin with everything you need.

In the heart of Menahga

My parents, two children, and I visited Menahga for 5 days to see my 90 year old grandmother and other family. We needed a space for naps, meals, and hanging out, and Janelle and Pam’s rental delivered everything we needed. They both were easy to communicate with when any issues came up and they even reached out to make sure we were taken care of when there was a tornado warning during one of our first nights. We appreciated the special touches like the coffee bar and comfortable bedding. The location was also ideal - we walked to talk playgrounds near the house and were close enough to walk to my grandmother’s apartment. I would recommend this rental if you are in the area!

Great Stay.

We stayed here for the MidSummer Music Festival and the cabin was perfect. The house is stocked well for a short stay with coffee, snacks, plenty of towels and games. The back yard is private and perfect for morning coffee. Would absolutely stay here again.

Family reunion stay

We had a family reunion at Twin Lakes, enjoyed having our own little cottage on a separate lake that was very nearby. Janelle and Pam’s house was very relaxing for us as a family of three & very clean! We stayed during the hottest and most humid week of summer for Minnesota …but had plenty of fans and AC units on each level which helped us stay cool in the evenings. Thank you for letting us stay at your cottage!

Great hosts and location, but smells like smoke

Janelle and Pam were extremely welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The home is great and is in an awesome location by the lake. We appreciated the fast internet, comfortable couch and beds, and the equipped kitchen. Unfortunately, the home smells like smoke - so if you are sensitive to the smell of smoke, I would not recommend staying here.

Cute smal house near the lake.

Owners were very easy to work with, nice touch with the homemade bread and jam, coffee bar was excellent, easy walk to the lake for the beach and boat launch, close to golf courses, close to Park Rapids for dining/shopping, or kayaking down the Crow River. We really like dogs, but the 3 barking dogs next door were annoying at times. The sauna would probably be nice during the winter but it was 90+ degrees during our stay. Overall, a positive experience.

Amazing spot in very quaint town

It was everything my family needed. Short distant walk to the lake. House was perfect, very clean and close to everything you need to do or get. Will be coming back!
