Perfect location!

The property was exactly as advertised and the perfect location for a fun week in Folly Beach. We loved having Berts Market right next store and listening to live music from our back patio at night. Will definitely come again!

Great time in Folly beach

Spent 3 nights at this location, enjoying all that Folly Beach has to offer. This is such a great location. Plenty to do within walking distance and Bert's is a Hidden Gem.

We really enjoyed this property. It is walking distance to everything. We had a small issue with rhe AC but Omar & Julia responded quickly and had it fixed right away! Chico Feo generally had ok music & I knew it would be loud, which we were prepared for. Music was only awful one night but we just went to Planet Follywood and then sat on the beach until it was over! I would stay here again.

Would love to Return!

We stayed for a short stay over Easter with our family. The unit was perfect, and the convenience to the beach and Bert’s was excellent. The beds were also very comfortable. My daughter loved the toys provided! The music from Chico Feo is pretty loud in the main bedroom, but we didn’t mind and it didn’t go very late.

Incredible location in the heart of the action

This place is ideal for folks that want to be in the middle of everything. Across the street view of Chico Feo live music every night and above 24/7 Bert’s market. Not a quiet beach bungalow, this is a party pad location. It wasn’t crazy loud but there are bands and ppl around until late evening every weekend.

Great location

Loved staying here! Location was perfect just 2 blocks from the beach and we loved listening to the live music at Chico Feo every night. Pet friendly meant my whole family could come. Unit has tons of chatacter.

Couldn’t recommend more highly!

My husband and I stayed for a week with our two kids, 8 and 11. The location was great and the property was a great fit. Check in and check out were both very easy. Would love to stay again!

Perfect Folly Holiday

This was our second year in a row staying above Berts Market and we absolutely love this home! Perfect location, hosts are super friendly and helpful via VRBO Messaging. 10/10 would recommend!

Great experience

The location is wonderful and the owner was great. We had an issue when we first arrived and he responded very quickly and took care of it. I couldn't recommend this place more.

Cool place!

Furnishings are fun and eclectic and the beds are SO comfortable - we didn't want to leave! Location is not right above Bert's market but super close. We were right across from a restaurant/bar and we had the opportunity to stand out on the back porch to listen to the performers on the outdoor stage. That was neat! We would totally come back here again!

Our stay at your rental by the beach was great! The place is adorable, and conveniently located near the beach and walking to all the great restaurants in Folly. We'll definitely be back! I highly recommend it. It's nestled in a great little neighborhood right next door to a 24-7 quaint grocery with fresh home-cooked breakfast sandwiches and a great deli daily. Great stay, needs some cleaning

Pros: check in was easy and communication with the hosts was great. They always answered any questions I had. The space was big and as a group we never felt like we were on top of each other. The location was great, we could walk to all the restaurants and to the beach no problem. Cons: the floors were not clean. And the second to last day we saw a roach on the desk that is in one of the bedrooms.

Comfy and content...

Great location, nicely decorated and furnished, king size bed in master was firm and super comfortable. Needs a few minor updates, and attention to detail, basic handyman stuff and upkeep, with a little reinvestment back into the property. Bring your own beach stuff: chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boards...or you’ll be renting from down the street. Bert’s is bad ass, awesome having the bodega right downstairs! This large apartment style property was great for our anniversary weekend, not too loud, not too crazy, just the right amount of activity and proximity. We enjoyed the full kitchen and full size fridge, nice TV and couches in living room, bathroom was also good size. Overall: it’s good. Good space, good location, good times.

Comfy place & awesome location

I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Its a very spacious and comfy place. It can definitely get a little loud having the restaurant next door but the live music there is an absolute vibe. My only issues were that the floor was a bit dirty, our feet looked like we had been walking barefoot outside all day. There was also only one or two rolls of toilet paper and I believe only one roll of papertowel. There were also no extra trash bags. Bert's is literally right there so it wasnt a huge deal, just a little inconvenient it wasnt stocked. I'd book here again in a heart beat though. Such a great locations from the nightlife and the beach+

We are long time locals, who also own and operate Bert's Market. We have 5 kids - 3 girls and 2 boys. We love to travel, specifically dragging our 30 foot camper all around this beautiful country of ours. And we also enjoy riding dirt bikes and four wheelers as a family, surfing, kayaking , painting ect. Omar and the children have a passion for music and Omar also owns and operates a recording studio, Fairweather Studio in Charleston.

Julia's father, Bert, purchased the building and market in 1994. When he was ready to retire in 2010, we decided to purchase the business and keep this vital part of our life, and Folly, in the family.

You can go get complimentary coffee from Bert's in your jammies! Aside from that, being walking distance from the main attraction at Folly - the OCEAN - as well as Center Street, with all of its restaurants and shops, is pretty rad.
