Very Pleasant Experience

Property owner was so nice and responsive to any questions we had prior to our stay. Property was conveniently located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Very clean accommodations. We would definitely stay again when visiting our WV family.

Great quiet get away!

We were looking for a nice quiet place and this is as perfect. Will stay again! Beds were solid which is always a hit or miss at Vrbos. Would love to have more of the outside cleaned up and looking better. Still was nice but outside yard, deck and house was rough.

Peaceful, beautiful getaway. Enjoyed the uniqueness of the home and the quiet we found there. The kids loved the layout of the house and being able to see nature everywhere you turned. The really loved getting to see a deer right outside their window. . W

Graduation Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed the house very much and the view and peacefulness were amazing. The extreme winding roads to get to the property were a bit more than we expected. That being said, we did not check Google maps Street View, so that’s on us. The location is great, not far from the university or downtown Charleston. I would probably stay there again, but I don’t know that my family would. If you like tree houses and adventurous driving, this place is for you!

House was very unique design and layout. I don’t think it was cleaned and sanitized as stated. Microwave, refrigerator, kitchen table had to be cleaned before I used them. Lamps missing lampshades, no drain plug to wash dishes, no kitchen towels, lots of dead flies by fireplace room windows. Small things to be corrected but basically we enjoyed our time there. I also did not contact property manager at any time to complain as we were already in house and problems were minor.

Unique place

I really loved the neighborhood and the place was unique. It is clean but not by my standards and I don't believe the bathrooms are cleaned like they should be. The stove is difficult to use since it's not consistent, and the kitchen is not stocked with what I feel is essential. No lid for the skillets, I had to improvise with a sheet pan. There was no sponge or towel to do the dishes with. The skillets had food in them and were not cleaned. The deck is unsafe and needs attention, there is so much poison ivy coming out under the steps as you come down into the property. It was not bad because we did enjoy our stay but there are a few things to do to property. The host was very nice and all in all its a very nice place. Also there are not enough wash clothes in bathrooms but plenty of towels. The beds are comfy and clean.

Wonderful stay!

The beds were very comfortable! Place was nice and clean. House is very unique and beautiful. We had absolutely everything we needed to cook and do what we wanted. Kitchen is stocked very well. We loved our stay! Thank you so much!

Space to relax and unwind

The house is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood., people we met were very friendly and welcoming. The house has beautiful original floors, it is really spacious. It has its quirks, if you are looking for something a bit different at a reasonable cost this is it! Michael was very personable, he responded very quickly to questions and concerns.

Host was very gracious. Biggest issue was trash outside when we got there as there were some critters getting into the trash. Yard needs cleaned up of all trash but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and had a great time.

Unique, very comfortable house with a great host!

We are 3 classical musicians who were on a practice retreat. We each needed our own bedroom and at least 2 bathrooms. This house was perfect for that! It was a lovely space to do our work together and be inspired by the beautiful tree-top setting. The house was very clean and the beds were all brand new and very comfortable. Michael is a great host, very responsive and concerned about our comfort. The house is really nice and in good shape although it isn't exactly a "brand new completely renovated rental" as promised in the welcome packet (especially the kitchen). We might have been the first renters in this property though, and we have no doubt that it will be continually improved. We recommend this property for its comfort, bedroom/bathroom layout, location, cleanliness, coolness factor and excellent host.
