We had a wonderful stay for the Route 11 yard crawl this house was close to shopping and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch! Nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Looking forward to coming back next year!

The beds were not well-constructed and we had to repair/reassemble them after sleeping in them with normal use. The DVD player wouldn’t work. The front door was unlocked when we arrived as well.

Labor Day Weekend

Our stay in Edinburg was an unforgettable experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, the view outside the kitchen window was amazing, and a dog friendly place.

Golly! It was far beyond our expectations! What a beautiful house. All the old home features were awesome. We had everything we needed and more. The porch was fabulous for my daily morning routine. The community is amazingly quiet. We appreciated the proximity to all our activities in the area. Thanks so much for fulfilling a wish from our last rental - an entire pantry open for our own foods and such in the kitchen! We’d have loved to stay longer just to enjoy the house, porch, and fire pit!

Nice older home

This was a very nice place to stay to visit our family over the Thanksgiving week. An older house with rich ambience. We loved the kitchen and it's wrap around view of the very nice backyard. The kitchen had everything we needed, and everything worked. The house was neat and clean, with a modern bathroom upstairs and a convenient bathroom downstairs.

Quaint home and quiet neighborhood

Beautiful historic home with lots of character. Awesome front porch and pretty yard. Short walk to town. Several other cute towns in area. Especially liked Woodstock, a little farther, Winchester. Not too far from National Park and State Parks for hiking. Very close to several wineries. Had questions prior to our stay and Sara was extremely responsive. Property does not disappoint.

Sweet Shenandoah Indeed!

Our Sweet Shenandoah stay was so pleasant that we hope to have the opportunity to return in the future. It was clean, the beds and living room furniture were comfy, the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with all the necessities, and the accessories and decorations were so sweet and authentic to the age of the house in communal rooms. In other words, we appreciated the antique furnishings scattered throughout. The location of the 100+ year old house was perfect for our 50th anniversary return to the Shenandoah Valley, our walks around Edinburg to see the historic homes, our tour of Luray Caverns, hikes in local parks, and many wonderful restaurants. Thanks, Sara and Mike, for another great VRBO experience!

Edinburg Experience

Overall the stay in Edinburg was adequate as the town and the "Shenandoah Sweet" are both very dated and "tired". We were looking for a cute home for two nights to explore the area, primarily "Skyline Drive", and unfortunately were disappointed. The home is over 100 years old and there some interesting architectural elements, but the porch (my primary interest) was almost unusable due to the dirt and neighborhood views. The beds and linens need to be replaced and the kitchen was only modestly equipped. Overall the home could use some more attention and cleaning. I will commend Mike and Sara at their quick response to our concerns and believe they are responsible owners but the experience wasn't the relaxing days we were hoping for.

Lovely and quiet

The house is wonderful. It's so roomy and has so many antique features that brought back memories of my grandmothers house. The area was quiet and friendly. I will have to say the large front porch was our favorite spot to hang out. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Perfect

The house is large and well appointed. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The screened front porch was the perfect relaxation area with rocking chairs and swing. The mountains are close by for hiking. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house.

Excellent house with large flowing rooms. Exceptionally clean located in town. Nice safe neighborhood to walk to shops and good restaurants. Great communication with owners with easy checkin checkout. Close to several caverns and New markets battlefield.

Wonderful House

Amazing historical home over 100 years old. Beautiful restoration keeping the Shenandoah charm. Emaculate, every detail addressed. Kitchen big and bright. Spent a lot of time on the very large screened in porch. Very nice owners, who were extremely attentive. Thank you Mike, would rent again

Beautiful and clean home. Great hosts.

The house was very clean and had plenty of room. It is situated in a beautiful part of Virginia. It rained the entire time during our stay and the house was great for spending more time in the inside. It has a nice private backyard. The hosts were very helpful and responsive.

Beautifully modernized historic home

This home has wonderful wood trim and floors and features that reflect the history of the Shenandoah valley with easy access to interstate and wineries ( Cave Ridge and Kindred Point are favorites) . Halfway point between DC and southwestern Virginia so good for getaway gatherings .

Historic beauty

This house was nice renovated to maintain its historic charm. Nice grounds surrounding the house. The house was clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. The only comment we have is the surrounding neighborhood was not as well kept. Otherwise enjoyed the home and easy access to wineries and other nearby points of interest. Would return.

Sara & Michael are wonderful hosts. The house was amazing. Lots of room, private backyard, and beautiful cozy front porch. We travel a lot and have done house rentals all over the world. Sara & Michael have thought of everything. We highly recommend a stay at their home.

Our family does a fair amount of travel to throughout Virginia, North Carolina and British Columbia and enjoy our time in different short term stays each time. We love the warmth of cabins, the independence of suites and the funkiness of the locations we've stayed so far. Most of our time is spent with our family, enjoying local food and sights and we appreciate a cozy home base to spend our down time. It's with this view we have ventured into hosting our VBRO home of our own.

Printz Street Cottage

Our home was built in 1910 and fits right into Edinburg’s charm with its sweeping social porch, beautifully crafted hand-carved woodwork, and its proximity to Main Street.
Edinburg is one stop along the Wilderness Trail in Shenandoah County. This small and intimate town hosts historic homes, locally owned restaurants, quaint shops, and the Shenandoah Valley Museum, as well as quick access to the mountains and gorgeous approaches from every different direction.
We hope you enjoy your stay, and your visit creates lasting memories!
