Super cute little cabin! Loved being on the water and they had kayaks if we wanted to use and yard games! Very nice place it was fun being on an island (thats not mackinaw) and 1st experience to a car ferry

Great place to stay

The cabin was excellent with pretty much everything we could need for cooking and relaxing. The beds were fantastic. The property was huge and had a great view. It was nice and quiet. Overall, great place.

Loved it!

We stayed here for 1 night on our UP road trip but wished we would have stayed more! The cabin was super cute and clean and had plenty of space for our family of 5! The kids loved the kayaks and playing in the water. We enjoyed the fire pit that night. The convenience store on the island was great and has a lot of what we needed. We would definitely love to come back and stay longer next time.

Lovely cabin and area. We made it just in time for a beautiful sunset and wish we could have stayed longer. I did not receive any information of Wi-fi access, and while I loved being unplugged it would have been helpful if there was some emergency contact info located at the cabin, since the spot was more remote.

Great cabin

Stayed here for a state fishing tournament for my son and we had a great time. The cabin was on beautiful property and just as listed. It is right on the water so the views were stunning. Cabin was clean and comfy. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay on the island.

Peaceful, relaxing getaway!

We enjoyed a relaxing week sitting by the river watching the boats and the birds during the day and the bonfire at night. Perfect place to unwind and leave the day to day stress behind!

Great cabin on island

4 friends stayed the night on way to Canada. Had a blast. Cabin very clean and updated. Loved Sugar Island. Great view of the water, very relaxing.

Cute, Cozy Cabin

We loved our weekend stay at Sugar Cove. The cabin is super cute and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided, including kitchen supplies, cozy blankets, comfortable bedding, and a selection of DVDs for evening movies. There is no WiFi, but we had good cell reception.Thank you for sharing your pet friendly space for a relaxing weekend up north.

Secluded Island Paradise

Very clean, quiet and well maintained property in a tranquil, park-like setting. Owners are very attentive and always accessible. A real nice place that made for a very pleasant stay!

Weekend get away on the river.

The beds are like sleeping on clouds, but you need a better movie selection. Beautiful spot on the river.Lots of privacy, lots of wildlife in the area.And you don't really need videos to have a good time there. I love everything about the place very beautiful and relaxing weekend differently coming back.

Perfect place to make memories!

This place is a beautiful getaway!! Stunning views and the most adorable cabin. Fred & Candace are very welcoming and put a lot of thought into this place. Charming place and you can’t beat the sunsets.

A great week

We loved the cabin, the property, the view, the peace and quiet, the genuine feeling of getting away from it all. Plenty to do in the surrounding area —Great Lakes museums, Taqhamenon Falls, the Soo Locks, watching massive freighters navigate the St. Mary’s River. We could not have asked for a better week.

Cozy, comfortable cabin

What a peaceful place to get away and relax. Only was there for an overnight, but would definitely like to come back and spend some time exploring the island and surrounding area. Took advantage of the kayaks at the cabin to get out on the river and had a relaxing fire and watched the sunset. Fred and Candace are wonderful hosts. We have lived on Sugar Island since 2016 and are enjoying the island life in Northern MI. Cabin has been totally renovated in 2021. Everything is new, clean and awaiting your arrival.

Property is private and the waterfront is sandy with a shared dock. Close to the Ferry and DNR boat launch. We have 3 kayaks and life jackets included. Could accommodate extra camping, contact us for information.
