Beach House on Hurricane Hole is one of the only structures on the National Coral Reef Monument waters of Hurricane Hole. Spend your days sunbathing or snorkeling the coral reef all from your beautiful secluded beach.

Formerly known as Sunrise of Estate Zootenvaal, Beach House on Hurricane Hole has been rebuilt and refurbished over the past couple of years. Beach House on Hurricane Hole has a beautiful living area and kitchen, all with breathtaking views. Enjoy sitting on the porch watching the sun set over the Caribbean ocean, under the covered extended living area.

Beautiful House right on the water

Beach House was even more beautiful than the pictures! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves every night was amazing. The lack of AC is not problem since the breeze from the shore definitely cools down the house. The location is great, very secluded for your privacy, while still being close to bars/restaurants/grocery. Tricia and Robin were great and very helpful!

Perfect place to relax!

Robin and Tricia are fantastic hosts! They respond quickly any time we communicated. The Beach House location is very private, right on the water, and the perfect place to relax.

Beach House on HH is perfection!

Our family just spent a week in this home and it was perfection. The house’s design was so comfortable with the most amazing views from any spot with a fun, comfortable gathering room and quiet, serene bedrooms. We loved snorkeling from the private beach and enjoyed being near Coral Bay on the quieter end of the Island but with easy access to all the St John has to offer and just minutes from great restaurants, groceries, bakeries, hikes, and more. We loved exploring the east end beaches, south side hikes as well as the North shore from this spot. The owner and manager were so helpful. We truly hope to return soon!

Blissful

I’ve been traveling to St. John for almost 20 years and only dreamed of staying at The Beach House on Hurricane Hole. That dream came true for our 30th wedding anniversary and my 56th birthday. Everything was immaculate and well appointed. From watching the pelicans diving for breakfast and dinner to listening to the waves, it was all blissful.

Incredible !!!

This home is amazing. The owners have exquisite taste. They have built one of finest villas in the Virgin Islands. The kitchen has everything. The views are stunning. The private beach is pristine. We found it hard to leave. If you are looking peace and tranquillity, to get away from the. crowds, this is the place. We can not wait to go back!

Fabulous beach house on st john

Our family of 6 adults (3 couples) spent a glorious week at the beach house at hurricane hole. Let me list all of the things we LOVED about the rental: -the location right on the water with its own small private beach. The sound of the waves heard from each of the porches was so soothing and peaceful. - the design of the house. Main shared great room with well stocked kitchen/dining room/living room with glass doors that open onto an expansive porch with stunning views. Three bedrooms- each with their own bathroom and porch with comfortable furniture to lounge and view the ocean., almost like having 3 little villas in one property. -great towels -we like to cook and the kitchen was stocked with all of the equipment you might need. -this house is in coral bay. Serene. Peaceful. -We hired Landlubbers to stock our kitchen, so we had some groceries already at the house when we arrived. Highly recommend. -There are two grocery stores close by for picking up food during your stay. I would recommend Calabash… they had better choices. -from this location we drove to trunk bay (get there early if you want a parking space), maho beach, and Cruz bay for a FANTASTIC catamaran day with Big Blue Excursions. Captain Jena was wonderful. -lunch at Lime Out was super fun -trivia night at skinny legs was a blast -my husband ran the trail at brown bay. He said it was pretty good, some parts of the trail a little rough, but he got a good run in. -hiked the trail at salt pond -sunset at the windmill ( mid island) great views. One of the things I was most struck by was the light of the dark night sky at this house. In the evening, your view is the ocean, the mountains and the starry night sky. There are no “town” or cuty lights polluting your view. It’s simply a stunning view with the sounds of the waves hitting the shore. Awe inspiring.

The Beach House

The beach house has a unique position on the east end of the island. It is the only home on the beach, and with a Beach in Hurricane Hole. Most of the land around it and the water is a protected nature preserve so you get very unspoiled views, and rarely visited beaches and reefs. It is an absolutely magical place.

This was a five star property. Everything was perfect.

The Beach House on Hurricane hole was perfect in every way for our vacation. The house was beautiful and it was spotlessly clean. We loved the beautiful and serene location. Tricia and Robin were excellent hosts who communicated with us from the moment we booked till our departure. They made sure that everything was perfect for our vacation. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely plan on future stays at the wonderful place.

The Beach House is amazing in every way!

My wife and I have been coming to St. John for nearly 25 years and have stayed in many different houses. The Beach House is probably our favorite. Tricia, the host, is extremely responsive, and Robin, the house manager is an absolute gem. Although you don't get the "lights of St. Thomas" view that you may get from other parts of the island, the view from every room in the house is spectacular and there is not a sound but the waves crashing just steps away. The house was incredibly clean, comfortable, and set up for complete privacy. You can tell that a lot of thought went into every wonderful design choice in the home, from the layout to the furniture to the tile, and the best shower we've ever seen. The location of the house also is awesome, especially if you aren't looking to spend a lot of evenings in Cruz Bay. So close to so many amazing snorkel locations. Walk to the Brown Bay trail and snorkel to the Hurricane Hole mangroves from the house. It is also convient to the East End, all of the South side snorkel spots, and a lot closer than you would think to the North shore beaches. There is even some good snorkeling right in front of the house. We saw a spotted eagle ray twenty feet off the beach on our last morning. And to top it all off, you've got Skinny Legs just a few minute drive away! The Beach House was absolute heaven, and we can't wait to come back.

Beautiful place

The Beach House is beautiful, and feels very spacious. It is right on the water with its own beach. The house has a big common area and balcony with everything you need then three huge bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Everything overlooks the water. Clean and modern feel and very well appointed. We traveled as a family of 4 with a family friend and there was a lot of space. Everything in St John is a bit of a drive but this was central to Coral Bay. The wind off the ocean with ceiling fans kept us cool but in another season it may be warm without air conditioning. And there is not a washer and dryer for guest use, so pack accordingly.

Beautiful beach house!

Superbly well-designed and well appointed beach house on the pristine and quiet Hurricane Hole in Coral Bay. Worked very well for our family of 6 (teen & young adults) with lots of room to spread out and have privacy. Also has rocky private beach with great snorkeling and paddle boarding.

Beautiful house and location!

This is simply an amazing house right on the bay. Spacious and beautiful inside and out. The interior design is immaculate right down to the fixtures and the kitchen utensils. The location is very private and a short drive to Coral bay. The north shore beaches are easily accessible by way of the North shore road. The owner was always quick to respond to any questions and the estate manager is lovely and very responsive.

Endless sea view.

We had a wonderful stay at Estate Zootenvaal in December 2021. The home is situated on the quiet eastern side of St. John with a splendid sea view from decks and living areas. The lapping of the small waves made wonderful music for us to enjoy during our stay. A small beach on the property and the outside shower were lovely. We snorkeled many locations around the island and, after a week's time, still have many more we hope to explore in the future. Each location was different but we saw squid, turtles, rays, nurse sharks, and many beautiful fish, with coral recovering from the hurricanes of a few years ago. The house was perfectly arranged for our two couples, with great central kitchen and living area. The interior design was both beautiful and functional. We love to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped, with a great table on the deck overlooking the sea. Bedrooms were lovely and we really enjoyed the many private outdoor seating areas. We appreciated things like the coolers so we could bring lunch to the beach and the beach chairs. This is a beautiful home in a perfect location for those looking for a quiet spot with great water views. We hope to be back!

We bought Sunrise of Estate Zootenvaal in 2015. 2017 Hurricane Irma. Beach House on Hurricane Hole is our rebuild/expansion. Our goal was to keep the beauty and simplicity that people felt when they visited back in the day. We did it. Enjoy!

We have the best island manager. She may meet you if it happens organically. You may not meet her….she knows you are there to enjoy beautiful St. John. However she is always available with any answers you might need. Enjoy her artwork through our island home.
