Enjoy all the amenities Southbay has to offer which include: 2 swimming pools and 2 kiddie pools, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, a lake view and only 5 minutes to the private beach. The walk to the beach takes you over the lake via the walking bridge and you will enjoy the lush landscaping of the complex. If the 5-minute walk to the beach proves to be a problem for anyone in your group there is also the option to pack up your car and drive to the Southbay beach where parking is provided. Once you arrive at the beach you will enjoy the sugar white sand beaches and the emerald, green waters which Destin is known for, and we provide the beach services which include two chairs and an umbrella March through October). At Southbay you are close to everything that Destin has to offer, shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, Harbor Walk, Big Kahuna water park, golf courses and so much more.
At our condo you will find boogie boards, plenty of sand toys, many toys for the kids to play with and a wagon to put all your things in! For your fur babies we provide food bowls.
Our completely renovated 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo overlooks a 5-acre lake which is filled with turtles, fish and water birds. The lake allows for a catch and release program, and you can fish right off the bottom deck of the condo. The condo has both an upper and lower deck and you will love watching the spectacular sunsets from the top deck. You will also enjoy watching the fireworks from the top deck if you are lucky enough to be here during the firework displays. We also have a Ring type doorbell for your safety and security.
Inside the condo you will be surprised by the amenities. The master bedroom has an ensuite and a coffee/tea bar which includes a coffee maker, a Keurig and an electric tea kettle. Starter packs of coffee, tea, creamer, sugar and sweetener are provided. Just brew your favorite drink and take it out to the lower deck right outside the bedroom while you enjoy the morning. The master bedroom also has a small refrigerator where you can store your cold drinks if that is your preference. The bathroom has been remodeled to include a large shower with a rain shower head and shower wand sprayer.
The second bedroom also has an ensuite which has been remodeled and includes a tub/shower combination. The bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. Each bedroom has a smart TV with cable tv provided.
The condo is fully furnished with all the necessary kitchen appliances, towels, linens & blankets. You have a reserved parking spot right outside your front door.
There are two pools (1 heated...February to Mid-April at the discretion of the property management company) and 2 kiddie pools within walking distance. You never have to cross a street to get to the beach or pools!
The second story includes the living room with a 60 " smart TV, a dining area and a desk. You can walk out onto the upper deck and enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the completely furnished deck which includes a new patio table with umbrella. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need to cook with! There is a half bath on this floor as well as a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience.
There are also two lighted tennis courts on the property.
Southbay by the Gulf is located in the heart of Destin right off of Hwy 98. There is the Harbor Walk Village for shopping, dining, activities and deep-sea fishing located within minutes, as well as a huge outlet mall located about twenty minutes away. If you are a golfer, there are several great courses nearby. Super Wal-Mart is less than 2 miles away and there is also a Publix, Winn-Dixie and Target right across the street. There are several shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Big Kahuna water park is less than a mile away. There is miniature golf, arcades, go-carts and other rides for your kids to enjoy at the Trax!
While we welcome pets, we do request that when you book that you make sure and check off that you will be bringing your fur baby with you. There is $100.00 pet fee per stay. Please note that if you don't pay the pet fee and you bring a pet the fee will be $200.00 instead of $100.00.
