Our cute air conditioned suite in Oyama is the perfect location for exploring the nearby Rail Trail, Beaches, Wineries and more! The fresh funky look will welcome you to relax at the end of your day or chill on the patio outside.

Very friendly owners with a clean, quiet space

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Oyama. Alison and Collin are very friendly and helpful providing local tips and attractions. The suite is clean, quiet anns very comfortable. Already look forward to going back.

Great stay!

We stayed in this suite for an extended weekend for a family wedding. The suite is just as described! Very clean and cozy. The host was very responsive and welcoming. We really appreciated the treats left for us as well as the coffee, tea, and condiments. The area is close to amenities and sites all around Wood Lake and an easy drive to Kelowna. We would definitely book again!

Alison went beyond 'fantastic' to make our stay at Sweet Oyama perfect!t

Sweet Stay at Sweet Oyama

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Sweet Oyama. Alison and Colin are very welcoming hosts. The suite is well appointed and comfortable. All the amenities are provided (with the exception of a microwave which would be useful), It is a relaxing environment. And also very convenient for our visit with family in Lake Country.

Amazing host

Great place and welcoming host. From perks like bag of chips, fresh milk and butter to full access to Netflix and other platforms on TV and valuable info about vacinity and events ( the website and photos are amazing). Quiet and cozy place with even a BBQ for guests and of cause beyond clean towels and rooms. Thank you and hope to come back one day.

The name - Sweet Oyama - says it all

We were exceptionally pleased with the rental - good space for two people, all amenities and far enough yet close enough to the beach and activities. We loved sitting out in early evening until the sun started to set. We will seriously consider returning.

Perfect location easy access to just about everything.

Loved the space unfortunately we brought our granddaughter who is terified by spiders. There were little black ones that just kept on showing up everywhere she was. So not much sleep and ended up leaving a day early.

Great Find

Sweet Oyama is an excellent place to stay if you have your own vehicle. It is very close to lakes, wineries, trails and restaurants. Alison and Colin our hosts were absolutely fabulous and go above and beyond to please their guests. We were greeted when we arrived and they left us with treats, milk, butter, and basic condiments, including coffee. The space was beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed sitting out on our patio. It was a great find and we truly enjoyed ourselves.

Peaceful, clean and beautiful suite perfect for 2 near Wood Lake

Everything was great from the communication and rental process, to our stay. The suite is modern, cozy and tastefully decorated and included snacks and basic condiments. The location is beautiful and peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of Kelowna with views of wood lake and fruit farms surrounding the property with fresh produce and an amazing bakery just up the road. Only 15-20 min to Kelowna.

Great find in Lake Country

This was a great last minute find in Lake Country. We booked last minute and this was what was left in our price range. Turned out to be amazing. The place is newly renovated and really well appointed and charming. While you can’t really walk to things, it is close to grocery, lakes, beaches, cycling trails, wineries, and restaurants. The hosts were easy to connect with and ensured we had what we needed. We even booked an extra night because we liked the place and area so much. We would definitely go back.

The Beaumont's have lived in Lake Country since 2008 moving from the UK, settling in Oyama situated on the traditional and unceded territory of the Okanagan Syilx People in 2010. Their home is set on a quarter acre looking across farm, orchards, lake and mountain views. Colin is a master carpenter and has lovingly created this suite, the original house is now almost fully renovated (just siding to be done). Alison is an Artist and you will see some of her prints in the suite too. Their son completes the Beaumont trio, who love cycling the rail trail, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, paddle-boarding or just hanging at their favourite beaches.

Colin and Alison have lots of tips for those visiting the Okanagan and have a full local insider's guide when you come to visit!

We landed at this property in the fall of 2010, it was a dated 1970's home with wallpaper literally everywhere (including the furnace). We are blessed to call the community of Oyama & Lake Country home, we look forward to more community events returning like Oyama Fun Day (June) and Turkey Bingo (December). The "Sweet Oyama" suite is a modern clean getaway, with its own entrance and patio area you can relax. The location is ideal for those looking to explore all the Okanagan has to offer or stay local and enjoy "The Jewel of the Okanagan" Oyama, with the Okanagan rail trail less than 5 mins away, or beaches, restaurants and the amazing OKF grill burgers. There is so much to try.

Oyama is a real "Jewel of the Okanagan", the orchards, beaches and trails provide a rural feel, yet we are minutes away from Kelowna and Vernon for even more to see and do. We fell in love with the location and the view of Terrace mountain in the distance, the sunsets are majestic and the colours can be from pinks, to purples to deep orange. Sitting and reading while the sunsets is a true slice of relaxation.
