Beautiful Hawaiian Paradise Studio with stunning coastal views

Centrally located on a beautiful green three acre estate on the slopes of Hualalai (right above the historical Kailua Kona) this private, spacious studio is truly a gem. The entire property is fenced with access thru gate with an electric gate opener. Large yard and plenty of wildlife in this rural peaceful setting. This studio is truly a piece of paradise, feeling worlds away from the heat and humidity of downtown Kailua Kona but with the convenience of being only a ten to fifteen minute drive to beautiful beaches, restaurants and shopping.

Every window and sliding door has blackout shades/ blinds for privacy. There is a separate Gas BBQ Grill, the separate Washer/Dryer for use by the two studio units. Making this property perfect for lots of privacy for an enjoyable get away for families, couples and friends. With nearly a constant year round temperature in the 70's during the day and a cool 60's during the evening with the sound of soothing crickets and coqui frogs in the distance it is the perfect elevation for a comfortable tropical setting. You will truly enjoy the walks through our neighborhood or if you wish to just relax and be greeted with the sounds of birds chirping while enjoying breezes from the cool trade winds, it's a natures lover's paradise. If it is peace you are looking for then this is the ideal location for you, whether taking an evening walk or BBQ outside while taking in the view, the studio offers a beautiful Hawaiian setting.

More About Our Studio:
Our Vacation Rental Studio is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom studio which sleeps 4. One California King Bed with a 3'' memory foam topper & One Queen Pull Out sofa Bed which we can have ready if requested.
The studio has a fully equipped Kitchenette, with all you need to create your own meals. microwave, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, single induction cook top, blender and toaster.
A dining/living room/bedroom all are located in an open concept room with large windows, overlooking the yard with panoramic views of the ocean and beautiful sunsets.
The property is great for relaxing after a long day of excursions visiting the active volcano, deep sea fishing or swimming in the ocean.
The studio includes a desk & chair along with a bluetooth alarm clock of which you can plug your phone into the front. The Bathroom has duel shower heads and is very spacious and modern.
Outside there is a communal Washer & Dryer- Shared with one other Vacation Rental Studio. Laundry pods are supplied.
New Samsung smart 4k TV with Youtube Tv provided. Wifi is provided thru a Orbi Mesh system with internet speeds in the 400s MBPS.
Outside we have a BBQ, (Propane Gas), extra on hand if needed. The Lanai/Deck is great for relaxing outside while listening to the native birds chirping with the scent of tropical flowers in the air or at night admiring the bright Kona stars as you take in our tropical retreat.
Check out is at 11 AM and check in is at 4:00 PM, for Early check ins or late check out's- Please check with owner, times may be changed per availability/request.

Privacy, quiet, nature!

We truly enjoyed everything about our stay. The location is close enough to everything but you also feel far enough away that it feels wonderfully secluded. It’s clean, great amenities, you can’t ask for anything more!

Breathtaking getaway retreat

We thought this place was better than advertised. We enjoyed being up, away from the crowds and busy streets. The view was incredible and allowed us to see some great sunsets. The room was clean, comfortable and well supplied with amenities. We would definitely choose this place again.

Big Island Detour

Views of Kono were amazing right from the back door. The accommodations and owners were full of more Aloha than we deserved. It was a taste of living the island life and I am not sure we would ever want to stay anywhere else in Kono. Thank you for making our stay better than we imagined.

View from on high

This property worked very well for us. The view from the studio is so beautiful - just like the pics online. We liked that beach chairs, beach towels, an umbrella, and an ice chest were included. And having a washer/dryer available was great. We recommend it!

10 days of sightseeing Hawaii Big island

This property was exactly as advertised. It is quiet and definitely removed from the hustle and bustle of Kona. We spent all of our days sightseeing and touring the island and when we returned the property was much cooler than Sea level being up the slope of a mountain. We enjoyed the sound of the frogs who seemed happy in the rain showers. We very much appreciated the well equipped kitchen and the little extra things in the cupboard as we cooked every night.Any communication with the owner was excellent and prompt and we thoroughly enjoyed the serenity of the unit.

Great Location - Knockout View

Spacious studio with large bathroom and great patio/terrace view down Kaloko Hills. My wife and I are not into the tourist crowds, and this place was perfect: serene, quiet and cooler by 5-10 degrees than Kona. The check-in process was a little confusing to me, but the owner came by immediately after I contacted him and guided a tour of the unit and then spent the time to tell us a local's take on where to go/what to see. Very helpful!

Kona fun

This rental is high up above Kona with a fabulous view of the coastline. Having a car is essential. Our unit was in between the main house and another studio. Each has a completely private patio and patch of grass. Owners have thought of literally every amenity to make the unit comfortable, with high end finishes, and for a studio the space is generous. Property manager James was prompt to fix a sliding screen door same day. This is a great place.

Super Ausgangspunkt auf Big Island am Hang gelegen

Die Unterkunft selbst wie auch die Lage hätte nicht besser sein können. Wir waren traurig als wir wieder los mußten. In den Bergen hat man Ruhe vom Trubel und Kühle in der Nacht zum Schlafen. Und da der Hawaiian Belt gleich ums Eck liegt ist man auch gleich überall. Ob im Jungel, in den Kaffeeplantagen, am Strand oder auf dem Mauna Kea. Einfach perfekt! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!!

Fantastic View

This place has great views, is tucked away from the crowds, and yet is still close to shopping. The elevation also makes for nice temperatures, day or night, which is a great escape from muggy weather. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Tucked in the clouds but easy access to town

We really enjoyed this studio apartment. High above town but beautiful views of the pacific and just 8 minutes to town. There was everything we needed in the kitchen to cook/grill some of our own meals. Beach equipment was great to have as well as the laundry facilities. The owner and manager take great care of this place. Would highly recommend and definitely look forward to a return visit. Mahalo!

Clean, well-equipped, and very peaceful! Plus gorgeous views!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The unit was spotless and came well-equipped, and we especially loved the gorgeous views from the back porch! We utilized the boogie board, beach towels, and cooler, which really added to the fun of our Hawaii vacation. Every night we would fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the coqui frogs and wake up to the breathtaking views of the coastline. Communication, check-in, and check-out were clear and easy. Thank you for the unforgettable stay!

Luckiest pick, unforgettable !

We absolutely loved being up the mountain, just a short drive from all the Kailua-Kona tourist stuff. It was a great location to venture out to all the areas of the island, then return to the peaceful mountain. All the amenities provided were top shelf! Having laundry access right there was a plus. Eating breakfast or snacking on the lanai with the awesome views and sunsets was unforgettable. We’d love to return ans bring our extended family to this property hopefully in the future. Thanks to James for such a nice welcome!

The perfect getaway

This unit was the perfect location for our stay on the big island! It was a great central location for our trips up to the beaches on the northern part of the island and for our drives south. It was everything as advertised and we loved the secluded feel of it. It was peaceful at night, falling asleep to the sounds of nature. The bed was definitely a highlight, I've never slept in such a comfy bed! James was super helpful as we checked in and even supplied us with another beach chair so we had one for each of us, which we greatly appreciated. The cooler, boogie boards and beach towels also got a lot of use during our week.

Clean, comfortable, private. Beautiful sunsets! Only cons: Must rearrange furniture to watch TV. Water valve in bathroom turns off automatically which can be annoying.

Amazing stay secluded from the hustle of Kailua-Kona

Great location, wonderful communication with property manager (James), and awesome views of the sunset and ocean. This is perfect for a couple or family of 3-4 who doesn't mind being 10 minute drive from downtown Kailua-Kona and wants more space / updated facilities for their stay. I really appreciated the communication from James throughout my stay and the cleanliness/amenities offered. Would definitely stay here again!

First VRBO

I was glad to stay in a gated and secure property. The listing was accurate. I had heard situations in which listings may not clearly represent a property and as my first VRBO/AirB&B, I was pleased about the studio. The views and sunsets fantastic. If there was a negative, there are no street lights on Kaloko Dr or Kaloko Hills Dr so the area is very dark at night. It is easy to miss Kaloko Hills. Use GPS especially at night. There is sufficient lighting around the studio doors and driveways but I did have to plan to get to the Studio before dark. The location is about 10 minutes from the Kona Airport which was convenient.

Great escape

Highly recommend this property. Zero problems. Very private...so much better than a hotel. Very quiet except for the tiny frogs at night, and we enjoyed their cricket-like serenade.

The Kaloko Mauka area is a very special place and peaceful. Our property is located at a cool elevation of 1800 ft, It is truly the best of both worlds- Sunny days with cooler nights for comfortable sleeping! This studio has been newly renovated and offers all the modern amenities! It is spacious and private! You are sure to feel the comforts of home on vacation! Only ten to fifteen minutes to downtown Kailua Kona, Beaches, Shopping & Dining!

We have taken extra measures to ensure the comforts of home even when renting a studio. Every wall is insulated With sound bat insulation. The walls separating the rooms have sound board drywall along with solid wood doors. Which makes for optimum sound proofing, comfort & Privacy. Every Window has black out shades or blinds for sleeping and privacy!
