Welcome to Your Luquillo Beach Escape

Welcome to our charming 2-bedroom apartment for up to 5 guests, located on the second floor of our peaceful property in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. Just a 3-minute walk will take you to a beautiful beach and the tranquil Mameyes River, where you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Our location provides easy access to some of Puerto Rico’s most popular attractions, including the Kioskos de Luquillo, El Yunque National Rainforest, restaurants, bars, and local adventures. For your comfort and peace of mind, the property is equipped with a full backup diesel generator, ensuring uninterrupted electricity during your stay.

Come experience a relaxing and memorable stay in the beautiful town of Luquillo.

The Space

Our fully equipped apartment is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests. The living area features comfortable furnishings that create a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach or exploring the island.

Stay connected with high-speed internet, and enjoy the peace of mind of staying in a private enclosed property. Your security is important to us, and the property includes CCTV surveillance in common areas. Each apartment also includes one designated parking space.

The apartment features two spacious bedrooms designed for comfort and restful nights.

• Second Bedroom: One full-size bed and one twin-size bed

Each bedroom includes its own air conditioning unit to keep you cool and comfortable.

The apartment includes one full bathroom with a refreshing shower, stocked with basic essentials to make your stay comfortable.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to prepare meals during your stay:

The living room provides a cozy space to relax, watch TV, or spend time with family and friends.

Nature lovers will enjoy watching our local wildlife, including woodpeckers that live in the trees surrounding the property.

We also provide a designated outdoor smoking area in the backyard. The apartments themselves are non-smoking.

Our swimming pool area is a recent addition to the property and offers another great space to relax and cool off after a day of exploring the island.

Our host Jesus was wonderful. He told us all the best local places to visit. The location was great, just a quick walk to the beach and river. There was even chairs and toys for the kids to take to the beach.

Perfect Local Vibes

Host went above and beyond to ensure that we made the best of our short stay on the island. The property is in a great location for local beach and outdoor activities. We want to go back to spend more time lounging in the backyard of the property.

AC was fabulous. Cute backyard to chill. We walked to the beach everyday at least once. Love all the dogs and chickens roaming neighbourhood. So many beautiful beaches nearby. El Yunque is only a15 minute drive. So fantastic we went twice

Worth every penny

Jesus was very helpful. He’s very knowledgeable about the area. It’s was very clean and neat. Did I mentioned the air conditioning was awesome! Backyard is spacious and had cool props to take pictures. The pool was clean and felt amazing.

The backyard and pool were very well-maintained, and the apartment was clean and well-stocked. Finally, the owners responded to messages quickly. I only recommend asking for a location pin before your arrival. The apartment can be hard to find the first time if you are not familiar with the area.

Amazing Peacefuñ Great Location

1) 3 min walk to beach and pristine river 2) helpful knowledgeable kind warm hosts 3) 5 min drive to the Kioscos great food 4) 10 min drive to Amigos supermarket and Walgreens. 5) close to calm beach at Balneario de Luquillo. 6) close to Farjardo. 7) carabali: Horses! 5 min away 8) 35 min from airport/San Juan. Highly Recommend. Hope they have room for us next trip to Puerto Rico.

Pleasant Stay

Communication with the owners was great. They were very responsive and prompt. I was surprise that we were not the only occupants as the place is set up motel style. This wasn’t at all an issue but it would have been nice to be aware of this prior to booking. There were some minor setbacks but the owner made adjustments accordingly and as soon as possible. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and made lasting memories. We would definitely stay again.

Jesus, the host was most helpful, as was his wife. To access the rooms, a flight of stairs was necessary. No easy access to outdoor sitting place without stairs. Not much view of the outdoors from our rooms. Very clean and efficient living space.

The apartment was very clean. Could use a little more counter space in the kitchen. Great communication. Any time we sent a message the owner responded immediately. The area around the apartment is not the greatest however the property is all fenced in and locked. We felt very safe. I loved the back yard. It has a pool, a swing, a grill and they have bikes to use. Very nice amenities! The beds were comfy, air worked great and great water pressure in the shower. I would stay again.

Started with rental car to check out neighborhood. In 3 days we switched to Uber and walking. Uber costs about $8 each way for outings and $40 to old San Juan. For good service my tips were as much or more than the ride. Get the phone numbers of better drivers. It helps a LOT to have travel Spanish phrases ready. Jesus as a landlord was like a gift from heaven! Don

Best Holiday Vacation Ever

in simple terms, i’ve been back to A Pasos 3 times already and every single time it’s only a better stay. The hosts should be Super hosts at this point, they are the most attentive most caring hosts i’ve ever dealt with and they make you feel at home. we traveled to Puerto Rico Dec25-Jan3 when we arrived our Host Jesus greeted us with an absolutely authentic amazing holiday meal complete with dessert and all…amazing for he cooked said meal all day long for all his guests to enjoy. if that’s not a super host, don’t know what is. as usual our stay was super clean, everything you need is provided from personal items to beach chairs and towels. the property is very clean and spotless. the neighborhood is so cool, people greet you every time they see you and are very welcoming. if you are looking for a pleasant super relaxing no care in the world vacation spot…we’ll A pasos will surpass your ex trust me i’ve only been there 3 times in last 6 months and already booking my next stay…truly great hosts and amazing property

Die Unterkunft hatte Fliegengitter vor den Fenster in eine gute Verdunkelung für die Fenster. Die Küche ist klein, aber ok. Hinter Garten beginnt direkt der Wald. Das ist sehr sehr schön, aber nachts auch laut wegen der Tierlaute (Vögel, Grillen und auch Meeresrauschen :)

We have been married for over 20 years. Our Luquillo house has always been our special place to relax by the beach and river and recharge from everyday life. Now we’re happy to share this peaceful retreat and the memories we’ve created here with our guests.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

About 20 years ago we were looking for a place near the beach. One day we saw a small ad in the local newspaper that said: “Property for sale – steps from the beach (A Pasos de la Playa).” We started joking about what “steps” really meant, but decided to call anyway.

The owner answered and that same day we went to see the property. At the time it was a small fisherman community with wonderful people, very natural, friendly, and welcoming. We immediately felt a special connection with the place.

The house itself was simple but full of good energy. It truly felt like the place had chosen us. Then we walked to the beach — only about 3 minutes away — and to the river, which is just a short walk as well.

At that moment we knew we loved the house, the neighbors, and how close everything was to nature. That same day we signed the contract.

What makes our property unique is the rare combination of nature and location. In just a few minutes walking you can reach both a beautiful beach and the peaceful Mameyes River, something not many places can offer. Guests also enjoy relaxing in our backyard with the wood deck and pool area while listening to the sounds of nature.

Another unique feature is that the entire property has a full backup diesel generator, so guests always have electricity even if the island experiences power outages.

Most importantly, we try to make every guest feel welcome and at home, sharing the peaceful atmosphere that made us fall in love with this place many years ago.
