Welcome to J & J’s Getaway! This NEWLY LISTED beautiful beachfront oasis is located at Pelican Cove in St. Croix. We encourage you to sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing ocean views and the soothing sounds of the Caribbean sea.

This is a ground floor 2 bedroom 2 bath unit that offers a beautifully updated and fully stocked kitchen, full size patio with propane grill and lovely dining and kitchen area for you to enjoy. You will also find a washer and dryer to assist you with any of your laundry needs.

The condo comes equipped with linens, beach and bath towels, beach chairs, a cooler, snorkel gear and more! We offer WIFI, Cable TV and streaming services.

The breezes here are amazing but if you choose to cool off you will find AC units located in each bedroom and the living room.

Sleep comfortably in the grand master bedroom suit with ensuite bathroom. You can lay in bed and listen to the waves or enjoy a cocktail on the patio, located right off the bedroom.

The guest bedroom also offers a queen and twin bed for extra guests.

Take a dip in the large swimming pool at Pelican Cove or spend some time with friends at the community cabana. There is also an open-air hot tub if you prefer to relax and soak. The grounds are always well-maintained and you will be sure to enjoy the lush and tropical plants growing throughout the property.

You are just a few minutes drive from Christiansted and there are several restaurants and grocery stores nearby. If you enjoy diving, you are not far from Cane Bay Beach. You and a buddy can dive “The Wall” and then grab lunch at a variety of restaurants along the North Shore. There are amazing kayak tours located at Salt River Bay, just a short drive from the unit. There is also horseback riding tours on the beach during the day or at sunset. The options are endless!

If you feel like staying in and not driving anywhere, The Palms Resort is located next door and offers a great bar and restaurant on the beach. You can walk there within 5 minutes and be back to the condo in no time.

Pelican Cove is a gated community and there is always an on-site manager who is willing to assist you if needed.

PLEASE NOTE***
When it comes to toiletries we provide items like hand soap, a bath soap bar, laundry detergent, a roll of paper towels and 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom. Please keep in mind, this is to get you started and will be available once you arrive. If additional items are needed during your stay, please purchase on your own as necessary.

J & J’s Getaway is excited to welcome you and your guests as you explore the beautiful island of St. Croix!

Also, please note, this is a NON-SMOKING UNIT. This property has a strict no smoking policy for renters. There is no smoking allowed in the unit, on the gallery or anywhere near the buildings. There is a designated smoking area by the main entrance to Pelican Cove and will have a picnic table, umbrella, and butt buckets.

Lastly, we HIGHLY recommend you reserve and rent a car while visiting St. Croix. There really is not many sidewalks or shoulder space in general on the roads. Many times you must reserve the car well in advance so please make sure you leave plenty of time before your arrival to rent the vehicle. We do have a GREAT recommendation for a car rental. A locally owned and operated business, Judi of Croix, is able to assist you in your rental car needs.

The new owners of "Judi of Croix", Drew & James, own a unit at Pelican Cove and to share their appreciation to Pelican Cove and its guests, they are offering a 10% discount to owners and their guests at Pelican Cove. When you reserve your rental, make sure to say that you are staying at Pelican Cove. They provide a personal delivery service and can meet their guests at the airport or deliver directly to where you are staying- no shuttles required!

Lovely apartment and complex.

Couldn't have been more happy with our stay. The apartment was huge with an amazing view from the terrace. The location of the complex was perfect and we will certainly stay here again when we return to St. Croix.

Great stay for a family

Really good location. Snorkeling was the highlight everyday for us and the condo is a short drive to so many beaches. And it was so nice that the condo provided some snorkeling gear - along with beach chairs and a small cooler. Nice big community pool and such a lovely view from the back deck.

Exceeds expectations in every area

The accommodations had every amenity imaginable including: great ocean view and access, quiet and safe gated community, immaculately maintained grounds and buildings, wonderful pool and common areas, easy access to VITran. I would definitely stay here again.

St. Croix Paradise

This condo was a great place to stay in every way! We especially enjoyed the location as it was close to both Christianstead and Fredrickstead. The beach view was beautiful and we loved the pool. Thank you for supplying all the necessaties. This is somewhere we would definately stay again.

Pelican Cove is a well maintained property in a quiet location close to Christiansted shopping and restaurants. J & J's Getaway is on the first floor of the ocean front building. We spent much time on the lanai enjoying the view.

Pre winter getaway

The view every morning is a great way to wake up close to downtown pier area Plenty of toiletries and household items for the stay Beds are very comfortable Beach is ok - as the ocean water is not very accessible due to all the rocks We went to other beaches Sandy point is a must but only access from November until April and only on weekends

Brooke gave detailed instructions which made check in process a breeze. Beautiful updated condo with a great view. Complex very clean and quiet. I would recommend this condo.

Fantastic ocean view property

The condo is excellent and we will definitely come back. The patio/ balcony area was very nice with a fantastic view and you can even catch the sunrise from the beachfront or the balcony . The location was fantastic and were able the get around fairly easily. AC was very nice in the bedroom at night. The pool area as well as the entire property was maintianed well and ckean. We recommend it !

Beautiful views

We had a very relaxing vacation, had the private beach to ourselves almost every day. Good snorkeling right off the beach. Nicely appointed rooms, 2nd bedroom is much nicer than the photos show. Proximity to resort (a couple minute walk down the beach) was convenient. Had a minor issue with the toilet flusher on Saturday, property manager responded quickly and it was fixed Monday morning (maintenance is off on the weekends). I'd recommend this location!

Amazing view with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere!

This turned out to be one of my best vacations ever. Brooke and her team were very responsive whenever contacted. The view was breathtaking, the moon would break over the palm trees around dusk. Everyone was very friendly and the inside tips on where to eat were priceless. I am definitely planning on returning for Christmas next year and may stay through the new year! Best customer service ever!

How amazing

Loved everything about it! The view, location, cleanliness, amenities! They provided great details of things to do, places to eat…. All were superior. My only issue is I couldn’t find a broom… but that just only meant they didn’t want me to do housework … they wanted me to enjoy the vacation. Lol. Would recommend to any one visiting St Croix. And I would definitely stay there again!

Great Condo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly use during your stay. We loved sitting on the back porch in the morning for coffee and at night to play cards with a view of the ocean. The pool at the complex was large with lots of tables, chairs and loungers. The condo had everything you would need for a trip to the beach - chairs, towels, snorkels and fins. Condo was clean and the complex was well maintained. Grocery stores were within 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Such a beautiful get-away.

Such a beautiful get-away. Condo was well-stocked, clean, and spacious. There is snorkel equipment, beach towels and bags, and beach chairs. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Kitchen had ample supplies. W/D were great to have available and worked perfectly. TY for the second bed in the second bedroom. Comfortable Adirondack chairs on the deck we used during the day and evening. Surf sounds right outside the window. Lovely little beach. The grounds are immaculate. We will be back, there is no doubt.

We had the BEST time! The condo was steps from our own little private beach (not really a swimming beach, rocky bottom, but who cares) we kept the sliders and windows open the whole time; waking to the sound of the waves was fabulous. The back porch spans the width of the condo and faces the sea, so relaxing to read out there, or just sit and look and listen. The place is nicely laid out, and everything we needed was in the kitchen. Master bedroom bed was quite comfy. Huuuuuuge pool, and a hot tub that we had to ourselves every night. Brooke, the property manager, was always very quick to respond to inquiries. The combination of the condo and Brooke made it a fanatstic stay--but too short! We would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Pelican Cove. St Croix

Mostly the condo was good. Good location but beach wasn’t useable. No chairs and high tides every day. The unit was nice for the most. Towels smelled musty and sour. Ac units filters needed to be changed. Refrigerator water filter needed to be changed. Deck grill wasn’t usuable. Couldn’t get gas turned on. Swollen shut from salt air. All rusted.

Hi Joy, thank you for staying with us at J&J. We are sorry the high tides at the beach made it hard for you to enjoy. More often than not the beach is a lovely spot to relax, sink your toes in the sand and take a nice walk. The association does offer chairs and we also have beach chairs in the bedroom closets for you to use. The condo towels are cleaned after every use but we will work to ensure they remain that way for each guest. We have addressed the filters and apologize for that inconvenience. As you can imagine having a grill right next to the salty ocean can sometimes be tricky. We will also make sure this is taken care of for the next guests. Thank you again for your stay!

Condo was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There was urine on the seat in the first bathroom. The master bathroom toilet had been used and not flushed. There was less than 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for us and we couldn’t find any more. There were used bars of soap in each shower with hair all over them. The kitchen was fully stocked which was convenient as we cooked all our meals there. We enjoyed being able to use the beach towels and chairs.

Great central spot for the island

We had a great island vacation with 2 adults, a teenager and a 5 yr old. This condo was perfect for our needs. Had great beach stuff (fins, snorkel, cooler, chairs, etc.) and kitchen was well stocked (blender, pots and pans, knives, foil, laundry detergent, napkins, etc.). We had to get used to impact of island water and had to clean gunk out of the faucets before we could use them, but otherwise, all was good. Great communication from property manager, super helpful and responsive. There was construction happening in the next door unit every weekday. This wouldve been terrible had we wanted to sleep in. However, we were daily early (7:30am) risers and this didnt impact our stay, but definitely could have had our plans been different. This condo is 30 min tops from everywhere - scuba, snorkeling, hiking, beach hanging - we would likely stay again as a centrally located spot. We didn't really use the beach front or pool, but we loved the porch and spent every night on it enjoying the sound of the waves and talking about our day. A/C worked great and very much appreciated it was in bedrooms and living room as we visited in July and it was definitely needed.

Overall, we had a very nice stay. The unit is clean, well-appointed, and looks like it has been recently updated. The AC works well, the views are beautiful, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen has a brand new fridge, but is in need of decent knives, though. We were very comfortable here for the most part. There were, however, some issues that aren’t disclosed in the property description that I think are important for potential renters to know. Much of this is out of the owner’s control, but can really make or break your stay. Firstly, the power in St Croix goes out—a LOT. It went out for about an hour on our first night (not a big deal), but went out for an entire day later in the week. The unit does not have a backup generator or solar backup. This is the first thing you need to know. Secondly, but most importantly, you cannot use ANY water (not even flushing the toilet) while the power is out. For a brief outage this is not a problem, but for a day long outage it very much is. The property manager is very responsive and understanding and helped us out as much as she possibly could, which we sincerely appreciated. This is SUCH a nice unit and property, and if it were not for the power/water situation, I would eagerly stay here again.

Best equipped rental ever!

This rental had every possible item you could need. Not only was there snorkel gear and beach chairs and plenty of towels, but the kitchen had every possible utensil/pan/dish/storage container you could need, as well as lots of spices and oils. They supplied some water and snacks as well, which was really helpful until we could get to a grocery store. We liked that each bedroom and the living room had a/c's, so we could all have the temperature we wanted. They provided all the bathroom toiletries which we really appreciated. We love this location to easily get to either the east or west sides of the island. The beach right out front is rocky, but a little walk to the west has a sandy area for swimming. We felt very secure with the gate, and the property is very clean. The pool and hot tub were great as well--so nice to be able to swim laps! The condo owners were having their annual meeting and party--they were very friendly and invited us to join them. What a great group of people and wonderful property, couldn't ask for better!

Perfect place to be

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. Both the property manager, Brooke, and the property owner were great to work with and very accommodating. We had a couple of “no ones fault” type condo issues and Brooke was immefiateky on it and made it right. Can’t ask for more than that. Nice quiet property. Great location. I’d stay here again. It felt safe and had a great pool.

WONDERFUL

The condo was wonderful! Great location (Christiansted only 10 min away) and awesome view of the ocean. The condo was stocked INCREDIBLY well, with everything you could possibly need and all the kitchen amenities available if you decide to cook at home for a night. There is even snorkeling equipment available if you would like to snorkel out at the beach one day (there is a great swimming area just a walk down the beach). We visited during hot and humid august, so the air conditioners were much needed at night. There is a great breeze off of the slider doors though during the day and the back patio was so nice to hang out and have morning coffee at. Thank you Brooke for a great stay!!! Definitely will come back to this condo if we have another chance to vacation in St Croix!
