Whispering Waters Cabin on The Creek

Whispering Waters Cabin was built in the late 1940's adjacent to a great spring in rural Northwestern Williamson County. The structure did not have any indoor plumbing until 1992, when I got tired of using the outhouse and washing in the creek under the bridge. The setting is surrounded by woods and lots of water, wildlife critters and many varieties of birds, including my two favorites; the Wood Thrush and seasonal Humming Birds. It's a quiet spot in an otherwise busy and congested world, that offers a safe haven for as long as the guest wishes to stay. The front porch is a wonderful resting spot to listen to the creek and birds. The cabin itself has only four rooms, but they are spacious and inviting. The fully supplied kitchen is ready for "gourmet" visitors interested in all things "gastronomical"! Or simply order out! There is on the property a large organic garden that I tend to all year, and a berry patch with in season blueberries galore! Nuff said -

Magical Little House

Stuart is amazing at communicating. The house is absolutely perfect. It feels like you are very remote but it’s actually very close to town. We had everything and more that we needed during our stay. The landscaping is perfect and the snowball bush brought back wonderful memories of my Aunt’s garden with one that I loved as a child. If we are in the area again, we will definitely book this house.

This cabin and its artistic hosting were the perfect pairing for revisiting this part of the woods with my family (where I spent some years as a child and young adult playing and working in Fernvale and Fairviewl. Thank you Stuart!

Birthday get away

Whispering waters was exactly what my husband wanted for his birthday surprise. The host was exceptional even having firewood already placed at the pit. Everything about the cabin was perfect and a perfect get away. We will be going again

Great stay!

We love this cabin! We needed an overnight stay on our drive from NJ to Texas with our dog. Property is exactly as listed. It’s well-decorated and a cozy place to stay. We also enjoy getting dinner over at Jefferson’s nearby.

Lovely retreat cabin

Relaxing getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whispering Waters Cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. The best part is sitting on the front porch listening to the water and birds. We would definitely stay there again!

Great spot

Cozy and well stocked cabin, comfortable bed and comfortable pull out couch accommodated two couples. Stuart was very accommodating and helpful. The cabin is beautiful with lovely art and the property is full of birds and lovely trees and gardens. Great spot. Thank you Stuart. Whispering Waters Cabin Haven

This is the place to be when you need to get away from a crazy, hectic life. Stuart is a superb host and makes sure his guests are comfortable and satisfied. The sound of the water in the creek, rustling leaves in the trees, and birds chirping happily whisper collaboratively, “Come away… rest your weary, tired soul….”.

Beautiful and Quiet

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean and peaceful. There was calming running water nearby that we could hear. It was quiet and secluded. The property was beautiful and the drive there was scenic. The property owner was in contact and left a note listing helpful information. 10/10 definitely recommend :)

Serene and verdant location

This little cabin was perfectly stocked with anything i could possibly need for my stay. The location is far enough away from cities you feel at peace in nature, but close enough to Nashville, Franklin, and other smaller towns i was able to make trips in for activities. I read through the guest book in the cabin, and it's clear that Stuart is a caring and responsive host (though I'm pretty relaxed and independent and didn't need anything from him myself). I accidentally left what turned out to be a cheap promotional item, and Stuart offered to mail it back to me, which was very kind but in this case unnecessary. All in all, a perfect and lovely home base for my trip to the Tennessee countryside! s

Over night motorcycle trip

We were absolutely and positively happy with this place, everything was exactly has stated, we even met the owner and it was a pleasure for us to see him, we will definitely be staying at this cabin several times in the near future, Stuart thanks again for having us.

A treasure from yesteryear!

A quiet and serene place that transcends you back in time. Nature's beauty at her finest surround the cabin and takes you far away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Stuart is both attentive to your needs and welcoming to his guests. We will be back when we venture that way again.

A peaceful relaxing getaway

This was a very pleasant well stocked little cabin. My husband and I came from Greensboro nc for our 10th wedding anniversary for the first time visiting the Nashville area and so glad we booked this cabin. The creek is very relaxing and the cabin itself is secluded. The owner Stuart was very prompt and helpful if we had any questions. It’s about an hour drive to Nashville but was nice to stay away from all the large crowds. Would highly recommend and if we come back to Nashville area we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Stuart for sharing ur cabin with us. We enjoyed it so much. Until next time…..❤️

Great stay

We stayed here 2 separate nights about a week apart as we passed through the area. Both stays were very pleasant and relaxing. Would highly recommend!

Peaceful Retreat

This is a cute little cabin, perfect for a couple. There’s a beautiful garden in front of the porch and the sound of the creek is so soothing. We stayed two separate nights with our dog on our way to Arkansas and again on our way back. Stuart was great with communication and the cabin was well equipped, even with fresh flowers on the kitchen table. Would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Perfect

I stayed five days in this perfect place for quiet, calm, reflection and renewal. The cabin is wonderfully equipped and decorated. The surroundings are beautiful and the view of the trees and sounds of the creek made it an ideal place for some days of writing and reading and exploring. I felt well taken care of and hosted! I am a 7th generation Tennessean raised in Nashville. My parents are cousins, who met for the first time when they were mere children. That makes my siblings my cousins as well. Welcome to the South! I moved to this country setting in Williamson County in December of 1990. The cabin had no indoor plumbing, no insulation in the walls, and a "used to the max" outhouse. So I dug a deep hole and made a new one. Yes, in the dead of winter, it is a race to and from, but I would change nothing for the first couple of years spent here. If nothing else, I makes one appreciate so many things that are otherwise taken for granted in our First World Nation!

I spend most of my time out doors in the landscape and gardening industry. Reading is one of my greatest pastimes (English major in college, History minor). I grow vegetables on the property, organically, of course! Sustainability issues specifically and environmental stewardship in general are passions of mine, which I am always happy to share with any guest that is interested.
