The Nest, nestled on a serene canal that flows gracefully into the Gulf, is a tranquil oasis in the small, peaceful water community of Ozello. With 1 queen size bed and 1 sofa bed, it’s a perfect retreat for relaxation. Enjoy the soothing air-conditioned porch, where birdwatchers can revel in breathtaking views. This is a paradise for fishing, hiking, scalloping, and a dream come true for kayakers, with 2 single kayaks ready to launch from our ramp. Small boats with trailers are welcome to park on the property, with access to two community boat ramps and a marina just minutes away. Grill your day's catch on our gas or charcoal grill and embrace the simple joys of nature.

Beautiful, home! Very clean. Helpful owner. This area is peaceful, calm, quiet and very safe. Old Florida at her best. Right on the canal with a gorgeous view of unending marshlands. Everything you need at your fingertips and close to lots of attractions, too!

As described and very comfortable and clean. The 2 kayaks were great to have included, and plenty of adventure to be had right from the house’s dock!

Great location for fishing. Near two boat launches. Can easily launch a small kayak from the property. Nicely decorated home with plenty of room for two. Lovely sunroom with water view. Enjoyed the outdoor deck, especially in the evening. Great location for star gazing. Very peaceful location yet not too far from town.

Great place to stay, had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. The stairs were a challenge for folks in their 80’s. But we pushed on and had a great week. Five Stars all day!

Great spot

This was a great property. Lovely clean house, great spot on the water with kayaks! The one queen bed was soft, but there was no other place to sleep besides a couch that didn't pull out or a really small futon. If you and the person you are going with are cool to share a bed then this place is perfect.

Perfect place to escape!

The Nest is a perfect place for some rest and relaxation! Conveniently located to everything you may need but just off the beaten path enough to feel like you’re isolated. If you’re looking to do some Crystal River activities you’re only 25 mins away. The host was super accommodating and the house itself was great! Very clean and had everything we needed! We kayaked and fished right from the yard. The enclosed sunroom was fabulous! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for letting us escape to your little spot in paradise.

Much needed get away

From the moment that we drove up to the Nest we felt that we had made the right decision in staying here, from the kayaks to the dock area to the sitting area under the house it was all perfectly set up. The interior was clean with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The enclosed porch to relax in the Ac or the outside eating area upstairs gave us options for dinner daily. The host communicated promptly with any requests or questions. We will return to this vacation spot for sure. Overall, it was an amazing time to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. Blessings.

This is a quaint small house with lots of waterviews. Very large comfortable back sunroom with marsh and beach views. House is close enough to town and restaurants, and the local state parks and attractions.

Great relaxing place

My husband and I loved this place. It was very clean and check in was a breeze. We came to the area to snorkel with the manatees and to relax. This was a perfect place to relax. We enjoyed fishing in their backyard. The Backwater Fin restaurant Kim recommended was very good.

Although this property is out in the country/swamp, it was very clean and very quiet. About a 5 mile drive back into the Crystal River area. This place was perfect for a couple. We had plenty of room and parking under the house. The weather was a little too cool to kayak but if warmer that may have been an option. Short drives to Crystal River, Homosassa Springs, and Weeki Wachee Springs. I would stay here again!!!!!! Crumps at Homosassa was a great place for waterfront dining & drinks. Highly recommend this house! Well equipped with wifi and a nice TV.

Great location, great host, great fishing

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We are avid fishermen so it suited us perfectly. Drawback was that the main bedroom's bed could sleep two if it was a couple, but fishermen don't usually sleep together. Fortunately we did bring a folding matress so we were good. Could not find a toaster, but kurig was great and coffee supply well stocked. Place was super clean and very cute.

Every year my kids and I explore different springs throughout Florida. This area was appealing to us because there are several springs to see within a 40 minute drive. The place was awesome. My son and I did some fishing and caught a 20" redfish right in the back yard. The wildlife was abundant between birds, snakes and even a small gator out in marsh. The views were spectacular from the air conditioned Florida room. The place had everything we needed and was close to grocery stores and restaurants. 10/10

Beautiful place to stay

We were in town for my son’s wedding and found this place for the week. I absolutely can say this was one of the best places I have ever stayed. The view was beyond beautiful, cottage was clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The host was awesome and I certainly plan to be back. AWESOME

Family vacation

Where to begin?! Our trip was amazing! The the property was very clean and very welcoming. The beds were extremely comfortable! There was so little extra things that she included like cooking oil and seasonings tea and coffee and so much more! Our son loved staying on the water. Whenever we weren't out exploring the area he was fishing from the shore. He caught catfish, Blue Crabs even a stingray! We loved using The kayaks that she provided for exploring the marsh around the property. We had such a great time!

Beautiful setting. Kayaking was amazing and so easy to do. We launched right out of the property. The place was clean and well maintained. You could also go for a bicycle ride. The roads have almost no traffic and there is beautiful scenery to look at. They have 3 nice bikes for use on the property. The local area was wonderful. Great place to get away and do a little adventuring but still have amenities near by. I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Adorable get away

Thee Next was a perfect place to stay. Kimberly made our stay easy and relaxing even before we arrived. Providing us with all the house details. The house is peaceful and so close to nature. We loved the easy access to the water and the kayak on the water. We truly enjoyed the porch that overlooks the. canal waterway. We ate breakfast there each morning. The home's decor is lovely and inviting. The host provided all of the essentials for cooking including a nice supply of coffee. They have thought of every detail. Everything at Thee Next makes you feel like you are at home. We ate breakfast and lunch at Thee Next and dinner out at the local restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was Backwater Fins. The food was great and well priced. It is close and a nice relaxing place on the water. We swam with the Manatee at Plantation Adventures. We went kayaking with River adventures at Homosassa Springs. We went airboat riding from Ozellia Marina, they are right around the corner from Thee Next. All of the tours were exactly what we had hoped for on our vacation. We saw lots of birds and many Osprey nests. We will definitely recommend Thee Nest to friends and plan to return.
