Lakefront Sunrise Cottage on Galway Lake

This beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bath cottage is situated right on the water's edge of Galway Lake and is the perfect getaway for families, friends and couples! With a beautiful wrap around porch you will see gorgeous sunrises & sunsets during your stay. If you're into bird watching, this is the place for you! Fishing for large mouth bass and perch is also a fun lake activity! Equipped with everything you need during your stay... including, kayaks, a stainless steel grill, and more!

The surrounding area is equipped with gorgeous hiking trails and scenic walks ways (we recommend downloading the AllTrails app to see what nature activities are nearby!). There are a few beautiful golf courses nearby, including the Galway Golf Club! Please take a good look at your provided Guest Book to see the restaurant and shopping recommendations in the area!

All parts of the home including the (3) bedrooms, full kitchen, mud room with laundry, common area with couch and TV with Roku, wrap around porch with full views of Galway Lake, dock access, and access to our (3) kayaks, and rowboats.

With no gas motors allowed on the lake, you are able to enjoy the sound of the water splashing against the dock and if you are into bird watching, keep an eye out for the beautiful American Bald Eagle and Osprey diving for fish nearby. The Sunrise Cottage is equipped with 3 bedrooms and 2-full baths, as well as a beautiful living space adorned by skylights, making it the perfect place for relaxing and entertaining. Located just 25 minutes to Saratoga Springs and at the foothills of the Adirondacks. You can enjoy a day at the Saratoga National Race Track or by taking a walk along the beautiful trails the area has to offer (see our guestbook for recommendations!). End your beautiful day at the lake with a gorgeous sunset.

You will definitely need a vehicle to get around the area! Ubers are hard to come by out in these parts!

During the summers, lawn mowing is done between 12-4pm on Fridays! They are very quick when they come through!

For winter stays, it is HIGHLY recommended that you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Due to upstate New York winters, the roads can be icy and covered in snow. If there should be inclement weather during your stay, we provide (1) snow plow & salting of the driveway, should you need additional servicing it will be an additional $75 per plow & salt.

The property was perfect for our gathering of friends. It slept 4 comfortably. The lake was beautiful. If you want a place to relax, admire a quiet lake, ducks and go for a kayak spin around the lakeshore, this is the place for you. The property manager and owner were very responsive to questions. I was in a surgical boot and using a walker. The first floor bedroom, bathroom and floor plan were easy to navigate. This was one of the better properties we have rented. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

As our second stay at Sunrise Cottage, it was another wonderful time! The house is perfect, it’s roomy and very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you will need. The lake is absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and serene! Astrid(host) is the best. She is super friendly and helpful. She is easy to contact and quick to respond. We are already looking forward to our next stay at Sunrise Cottage.

Beautiful lakeside cottage.Our family enjoyed sitting on the deck and kayaking in the lake. About 25 minutes from Saratoga and we had a great racing experience there..Astrid was a great Host quickly responded to any of our questions we had. We had a great time!

Beautiful and peaceful

This property was beautiful.Everything was clean and kitchen was stocked with essentials. Instructions were well written for air conditioning and fans. The location was on Lake Galway. The lake is clean and quiet with only electric or paddle boats. It is very relaxing spot. Owner responsive.

This place is exactly as advertised. We stayed for a weekend to take in a concert at SPAC. It is a convenient location, easy to get to town, but very quiet neighborhood.The “well equipped” kitchen really is very well equipped, there was nothing I wanted that wasn’t there. The setting is beautiful, the lake is clean and welcoming. If we had more time we would have made better use of it, as it was we enjoyed it. That we could have our two small, very well behaved, dogs with us made it perfect.

A wonderful view of the lake and a very comfortable house with everything you need. It was so nice to sit on the deck and enjoy the peaceful lake right in front of you. Sunrise and sunset are especiallly beautiful. We didn't use the boats/kayaks but they would be fun. Manager was very responsive and quickly answered our questions.

Sunrise Cottage

Sunrise Cottage on Lake Galway was what we hoped for, a very comfortable, stress free, fun place to stay while we visited Saratoga Springs. It was close to the city but still very much in the country. The neighbors surrounding us on Lake Galway were pleasant and friendly, as were the local restauranteurs and merchants. Sunrise cottage is definitely on the return to list

Beautiful Galway Lake home

Astrid's property is beautiful and exactly as advertised. We had more than enough room for our two families and one dog, and we all really enjoyed the use of the provided kayaks and row boat as well as the fire pit for nightly s'mores. I would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay there again.

A wonderful quiet week on Galway Lake. The cottage is beautiful, well-equipped, and restful. The area is peaceful and great for families. It's pet-friendly and includes a doggie bed in the great room.

Just what we needed

We were in the area for a weekend celebration with friends so were busy with hikes, dinners, brunches, etc. in the Galway area, so the house was a convenient staging area for us. However, we did manage to enjoy the property during our downtimes and got out kayaking on the lake which was blissful. A really nice property in the area, which we'd recommend to friends.

We absolutely loved the property, sitting on the deck looking out over Galway Lake every day was calm and relaxing. We’d venture out in the mornings weather permitting, then spend the afternoon in the lake. Kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, floating or sitting on the dock soaking feet. There is so much to see in the area.

Long weekend in the Adirondacks

Great house and property. It could not have been easier and the area is so peaceful. Close to Saratoga and an easy drive north to Lake Placid. The property manager communication was excellent and the house is outstanding. Highly recommend
