Cottage in Oskar Bay, along Houghton Portage Canal

Renovated cottage in Oskar Bay along the Houghton Canal road, this cottage was originally built to house the school teacher for Oskar Bay. Then it was turned into a summer rental in the 50s. It was fully renovated in 2020 and is awaiting your stay. Included is a shared boat dock with our other rental house next door, 100 feet of lakefront that is ideal for fishing, swimming, kayaking and a great sunrise view.

Great stay

This is my second stay at the cabin. It’s a perfect location. Close to everything and quiet. Great view of the canal. I will stay again next I’m in the UP.

Great Cottage close enough to town but far enough away

Perfect location for my wife and I to move our son into college. We also took a day trip to copper harbor and 1 to munising to kayak pictured rocks. A great place to launch your UP adventure.

Very Cute Cabin

This cabin was small and snug, but just what I needed. Close enough to the main drag to get Door Dash delivered. Great view of the canal. Upgraded nicely. Good WiFi!

Lovely spot!

Overall we had a great stay! The home is in a beautiful location and very convenient. My only complaint is that the bedroom is listed as having a Queen bed, and it was actually a full size bed. Not a huge issue but not what we expected!

Amazing

This was a perfect location for my stay. Close to downtown Houghton and Hancock. The Beach was only 3miles down the road. This was a cozy cottage for 1 or couple. Very clean with all the amenities you may need. William was quick to answer all my questions and gave a few tips on where to see the areas attractions. I will definitely be back for my next trip to the Up!

Another great stay!! This is my 3rd year in a row. Perfect location. Close to shops and restaurants and a real nice beach to relax and watch amazing sunsets.
