Lovely, with one glitch

First of all, we really liked this place. Comfortable, roomy, quality furniture, great porch. Only one issue which almost ruined our trip. The door code for the keypad on the building was not working for us and we had to walk all the way around the building through the parking garage to get in every time we went out. Gibson rentals told us there was "nothing they could do....we gave you the right code." Many other people were having the same issue, but Gibson could not/would not help. We finally got in touch with the bldg mgmt who told us that the keypad was very sensitive and you had to punch in the numbers very fast and then you only have 2 seconds to open the door. Strange, but it worked. Gibson should have been able to tell us this. I do not think that they had ever been to the building as they kept telling us to go to another door (there is only one door into the building besides the garage!) We would still stay here again. Great location and unit.

We are a little concerned that you stated we were unable to assist you with the issue. We actually spoke with you regarding the door issues, immediately called the building manager, and followed up with you with the verbatim instructions that you posted in your review. We also asked building maintenance to investigate the issue so as to resolve the problem. We are glad that you had a nice time at our property and would love to welcome you back again.

Could use some fine tuning

My husband & I stayed here for a convention. The location was great. All the restaurants & activity you could want just steps outside your door. The condo had a great balcony. It is a little dated. The furniture was basic, nothing fancy. The bathroom was disappointing. The water pressure in the bathroom was subpar, barely enough to rinse the soap from my hair. Paint chipping. The shower curtain would not close all the way bc several of the curtain hooks were missing. The cabinets were dusty & had dirt built up. There were plenty of pillows but limited cover so take additional blankets if you like to have more than a lightweight blanket & thin sheet to sleep with. The greatest frustration was upon checkin we received a different code for the room door, gate, pool, & one code for the lobby & gym. 4 codes in total. Entrance into the building was either through the parking garage or the lobby from Market Street which is very convenient if you are dining, shopping, or relaxing in The Village . We could never get the code to work for that door even after inquiring with the management multiple times. They even sent us a new code that wld never work. So the entire trip we had to walk through the parking garage just to get back to the elevator to go to our room. We decided to go to the pool our last day & that code had to be punched in multiple times before it worked. It was just frustrating! Also, plan to pay for parking if you drive to the beach across the road.

However, we’re truly sorry for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay. We appreciate your detailed feedback about the bathroom issues, furniture, and cleanliness; these are areas we take seriously and will address with our cleaning and maintenance teams to improve the overall condition and comfort of the unit. Regarding the multiple access codes and difficulty entering the building, we completely understand how frustrating this must have been. While we manage the condo, the building access system is controlled by the property management, but we will continue to communicate your concerns to them to seek improvements. Thank you for highlighting the parking situation as well. We always strive to provide clear information about parking policies so guests can plan accordingly. Nice place, close to everything with a few quirks!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was nice, bed was super comfy, kitchen was fully stocked and the pool was nice. We did move the recliners because they blocked the walkway and under them hadn’t been swept at all. Due to this some cleaning was required. The place is conveniently located near a grocery store and multiple shops. The quirks were: the parking garage and all the codes to remember. The parking garage was full and very hectic. We circled around it several times (one night took 30 mins) each evening just to finally catch a spot when someone left. I think there are more rooms then spaces and multiple visitors were upset as well. Also, you need a code for practically everything and the codes are not the same. This is a pain when you’re carrying stuff in and have to drop everything you’re carrying (no luggage cart was ever available) to find a code. Other than the above, my family and I had a very nice time. I would recommend the place if the parking garage and multiple codes wasn’t so hectic.
