What an amazing stay! My husband and I rented this place with our German shepherd pup and loved it! Highly recommend staying here. Sean was a great host!

We stayed here for four days as a group of three with a large husky, and it was exactly what we hoped for. A truly picturesque cabin with tons of privacy, plenty of land for pets to run, and direct access to the river. It feels tucked away from the world in the best way.The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Hot water is nearly instant, the grill is great, and the wood-burning stove adds a cozy charm. If you plan on using it, bring fire starters or a small torch. Only a lighter and matches were provided.The heaters worked but did not always reach their set temperature, so be prepared to layer up in colder months.If you are driving a sedan, be aware that the driveway clearance is tight. Each time we exited, the underside of our car made contact with the ground. We managed, but with the wrong angle or speed it could cause light damage. Take it slow.The kitchen is well equipped, but the fridge is small, so pack efficiently or bring a cooler. The second “bedroom” is an open loft, not fully enclosed.The location is fantastic. Amanda’s Riverside Bar & Grill is nearby, and Villa Como has excellent Italian food. EV charging is available in Hancock.All in all, this is a perfect cabin getaway. It is no surprise it has earned such great reviews. We already look forward to staying here again.

We loved staying at this cabin, it truly felt like a real cabin experience. We didn’t spend a lot of time indoors, but it was very cute and overall clean. It did feel a bit small for a family of six, and we would have enjoyed having a living room space to play games or relax together. The location was great, and the river was beautiful, perfect for morning walks with my dog.

We had a lovely, snowy getaway at the cabin! Everything was as described and Sean’s communications were prompt and informative. Very cozy space and beautiful surroundings to spend some relaxation time at the end of the busy holiday season.

This is our 4th year staying at the Cabin over the Christmas and New Years Holidays...with our 2 dogs. It's always been our absolute favorite place to get away! The Cabin is so well constructed. Despite the coldest weather, by far this year, we were so comfortable. The wood stove heats the entire cabin. Contactless check in is a breeze. Sean is a tremendous host. The location is so convenient to Hancock NY and surrounding areas. Highly recommend this VRBO!

Very clean and pleasant stay. Cabin descriptions and appearance are exactly as mentioned online. We couldnt have dreamt for a better time away. Host sent very accurate check in and check out instructions and reached out to ask if we needed bundles of wood for the fireplace and pit. 10/10

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin! It is so charming and just perfect for our one night stay (I wish we could have stayed longer!). We loved the wood burning stove and the outdoor fire pit. The grounds and views are simply gorgeous and so peaceful. Our Bernese Mountain dog loved roaming around the paths and enjoyed all of the new sniffs! :) We didn’t cook but the kitchen is very well stocked and the cabin was spotless and so well maintained and loved. Sean, our host, was super responsive and so accomodating. It’s important to let Sean know if you’d like to purchase firewood for the wood stove and outdoor fire pit. He has a delivery service available. I highly recommend this lovely cabin.

Such an amazing, relaxing time we had with the dogs. The host was very prompt and the wood cabin had all you needed for a long weekend. Super cozy, just magical. It snowed which was beautiful

Sean made this stay seamless and so comfortable. The cabin is gorgeous, well maintained, right on the river. It feels private and safe, I highly recommend staying here if you're interested in nature, hiking, or just getting away from the hustle and bustle. The beds are comfy, the decorative touches are perfect, and the kitchen is also incredibly well stocked!

Cozy cabin, and very much as advertised. Very clean, nice property right by the river. Was a good choice for my purpose, a solo detox in the woods. Host was super responsive and delivered on my request (firewood). Only downside was some road noise from the highway, not audible in the cabin, but you can hear it outside. I didn’t have my young children but would have worried about them using the loft space - it’s beautiful but high and fairly open.

Cabin was in a great location. Was a little creepy arriving at night but waking up in the mountains was lovely. Our two dogs enjoyed the trails down by the river. Great please to stop and relax on our way to the City.

This cabin was warm inviting clean and cozy. Loved the location and the beauty of the surrounding area. It was the calm and peaceful retreat we needed to recharge and relax. The host was friendly and available. And we were able to bring our 2 Boston Terriers too. My husband enjoyed fishing in the river on the property. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay.

This place was amazing! It was just the right size for 2 people, but had the added loft area for other guests if needed. The bed was super comfy and cozy! We loved the location! It was very secluded, but yet 5 minutes from groceries, gas, or places to eat. We could walk and fish right on the property. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, wildlife, making food on the grill, having fires in the fire pit, and relaxing on the big, covered porch. I would definitely recommend this place!
