PERFECT Spring Break with grandkids!

Great Mountain Getaway

Our stay was fantastic! We brought our girls along for their first trip to the Smokey’s, the upstairs bedroom and loft area was perfect for the three of them. Communication with Scott & Melissa top notch.

Best experience ever!

Beautiful property, we loved the fire ring and spent alot of time on the deck! The last time we stayed in Tennessee, we stayed in a cabin rental place. I will choose VRBO every day since that stay! Thank You so much for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin!

Great weekend getaway

Finding the property was easy and the location is great. It's secluded yet easy travel to diwntown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. The family enjoyed playing pool and arcade games inside and the hot tub in the evenings. Setting up our netflix account was easy and internet worked well. This was also one of the cleaner cabins I have ever stayed in! Definitely recommend!

Worth Everything!!

In looking for our perfect Tennessee getaway, this cabin looked perfect and we were absolutely overly surprised! Out of town enough for the peace and quiet we needed but close enough to get to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for some great family time too. Sunrise is beautiful from the cabin's top floor as well as the second story balcony. We had morning coffee from the jacuzzi which was perfect. We had a question and Scott was so responsive and helpful. Five out of five stars, we would give more if we could. Would absolutely stay again and havr already started planning our next trip!

Wonderful

Me and my significant other had privacy and enjoyed the late nights in the hot tub overlooking the view we together enjoyed cooking in the kitchen where there was anything you might think about needing also the game room at night together we had a blast not far from Gatlinburg and Dollywood we had a time will definitely be back in May it's a friendly stay from babies up to adults yes they had baby accomodations as well there loved it ❣️super hosts

Very remote location, but easy to get for locations in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville. Lots of options in the cabin, as well as a great firepit at the end of a walk down the steps from the cabin. We really enjoyed exploring during the day and then relaxing by the fireplace later.

Great Trip

First time in the area, GPS took us right to the cabin. Very quiet, peaceful and pretty area. Cabin was furnished with everything we needed and was very comfortable. Nice view from the deck and the hot tub was relaxing. Location is great, felt secluded, but very easy commute to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Great communication with owner, I would definitely recommend. Great experience!

Great time

House was great! Clean, anything you could need in the kitchen, master bed was comfortable, twin upstairs was comfortable, double and futon was a little on the hard side but not bad. Internet was great held 5 phones, my sons medical device, and the tvs in the house. Enjoyed the pool table, arcade game system, and hot tub! Owner was in constant contact!

Loved the cabin

The cabin was beautiful. It was out first vacation. In 6 years and we couldn’t have been happier. We had an amazing time. Scott and Melissa were amazing and checked on us throughout the trip. The Wi-Fi and cell phone service was hit or miss but that’s exactly what my kids needed. Thank you for a great stay.

Perfect getaway!

This adorable cabin is set back in the mountains away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. A windy 30 minute drive will get you into town or the National Park. The cabin was perfect for our quiet family getaway. We enjoyed time in the hot tub on the deck and around the fire pit under the stars. Our hosts were very communicative and check in/out was very simple. Book this place. You won’t regret it!

Great stay. Internet was slow for sure. Carpet in living area was a tripping hazard. Bed was comfortable, kitchen drawers were a little unaccesable. Thought there was a third bedroom, but guess that was the game room. Enjoyed the stay. Dishes were dirty.

Perfect location

Perfect location This cabin had everything we were looking for. 30 minutes away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge In a peaceful, secluded and quiet location. We're avid hikers so after a long day the hot tub and relaxing on the deck were very inviting as was the game room. Most all of our meals were at the cabin (my wife is a scratch cook) and had most everything she needed to prepare our meals. And to end the night the king size bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable. WIFI is weak (normal for that area) but that's ok as we weren't there to watch tv or be on our phones. Communication with the owner was the best of any of my VRBO experiences. We will return next year.

Needs some attention

I’m not one to normally write reviews but I felt I should for this one. Owners were great with booking and check in. Pictures used in advertising must be old. Felt it was overpriced for the lack of attention and cleanliness to property. Was disappointed in the grounds around the cabin. Pictures advertised of Firepit area had a clean walkway and open clean area to sit which is why I chose this cabin, but the yard was very overgrown to the point the access to Firepit was not easy and the weeds were covering walkway and grown through the chairs sitting around the Firepit. I never even went down there and only allowed my sons (with their grandfather) to have a fire in the daylight once to roast marshmallows for a few mins because I was afraid the overgrowth would catch on fire or snakes that couldn’t be seen. The banister around the porch on the main floor(second floor) is also very loose which made me nervous with my younger son. The loft area needed some cleaning…dust an inch thick in the ceiling fan above the bed and cob webs near the sink and in corner above bed. Internet was non existent…tv was so bad the picture was never clear enough to see.

Nice cabin, but pretty small and in need of some updates

The photos do the place more than justice, because they make the cabin look much bigger than it really is. While it has good, classic cabin decor, the kitchen is very small, and my family of five (two teens) was pretty packed in, and there were arguments over sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom TV is very small, especially given the current price of a 55" flat screen. The ROKU setup, with auto-expiration of personal logins, worked well, however. My biggest complaint is with the mattress/box springs in the master--these should have been replaced long ago--I am not that big, 185 lbs., and I sank down so far that I felt like my feet were six inches higher than my head. This feeling was bad enough that if I woke up in the night, I had a hard time getting back to sleep. I'd also like to see quality two-ply TP, like real people actually use in their own homes. Especially for $400+ per night. Please keep in mind that price always affects my reviews, and I get much more picky when paying Presidential Suite prices. If the bed and TV were upgraded and I weren't also expected to pay for coffee pods, etc., the cabin would not be bad for 3-4 people. Also, this cabin is a LONG way from tourist attractions. I did not factor this in when looking at a map before I rented because I did not account for the time and difficulty of navigating the long and winding mountain roads. Finally, having the owner's phone number for direct texting once we arrived would be a plus.

Cabin Needs Some Renovations & Good Cleaning

We have stayed at several vrbo properties before and this was by far the worst we have ever stayed at. The first night we were there it rained a little bit. We woke up to water leaks in the master bathroom. Not a ton of water so we wiped it up and thought nothing of it. The 2nd night, there were thunderstorms and periods of heavy rain. The front wall of the cabin and the slanted ceiling had water pouring down it on the inside of the cabin. We didn’t need to go visit any of the local waterfalls as we had one in our cabin. Looking at the ceiling more closely we saw holes between the boards where the water poured in through. There was black discoloration on the boards so it clearly was not the first time this had happened. There were other leaks in the roof, water showered over the railing to the loft and on the staircase. We were up until after midnight, wiping down the walls, stairs, etc. all of which were warped, again proving this was not the first time this had occurred. Once done we went to go to bed only to find there was a leak in the ceiling above the far side of the master bed. Good thing it’s a king sized bed because we had to sleep in half of it not to have water dripping on us. The floors in the master bathroom are soft and buckling up as well. There was black & white mold on the master bath, around the front door, the floors on the landing up to the loft and on the beams near the front wall. We communicated the issues to the owners and got an ‘OMG so sorry’. How about holy crap that’s bad we are going to make this right. On top of all of this the cabin was so dusty and underneath the master bed was disgusting! Dust and dirt was thick. The cabin smelled musty and damp from the basement. There was only one sheet for the pullout sofa in the basement and it was stained and had holes in it. There were no extra sheets, blankets or pillows for either of the pullout sofas. Be prepared to bring your own. Also the water smells and tastes bad, even with the whole house filter so bring your own water as well. Oh and p.s. watch the last step down to the fire pit! The railroad tie is loose and rolled over, you could twist you ankle if you’re not careful. Would not recommend staying here until the owners make the much needed renovations and hire a service that will actually clean!
