この施設について

The property is located on an island. You will commute to and from the island via the owners residence located on the mainland on Farm Island Lake. In the fall of 1979 a navy seal purchased this property. He cut and swam every log to the island, Built the foundation and handbuilt the cabin from ground up. Farm Island Lake is known for its fantastic fishing and great for watersports. Westerly facing for beautiful sunsets, lakeside fire pit, 2 swings, 3 queen size beds and a twin bed. Complete update 2021. Pontoon, side-by-side, jet ski, 2 stand up paddle boards, 4 kayaks available for rent. Surfing, skiing, and tubing available behind our 2022 Super Air Nautique GS22 for an additional fee. Winter transportation is via heated enclosed 2020 Kawasaki Side-by-side or snowmobile.

Farm Island

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. Great for relaxing, fishing and water sports. Host was very accommodating. Bring enough supplies as there is not a store/marina on the lake.

Amazing stay!

Jared is a great host! We rented his cabin for our friends bachelorette party, the cabin was clean and big enough to fit all of us comfortably. There is a huge yard which was great for playing games and relaxing around the bonfire. We rented the pontoon (it’s in excellent condition) to cruise the lake. We would definitely rent from Jared again!

Beautiful location!

We stayed here for a weekend stay with friends and it did not disappoint! We spent our time fishing, tubing and eating lots of good food. The lake and location are beautiful! Jerred was a great host. Thanks so much!

Up North Weekend Getaway

My family and friends rented the cabin for an annual trip we do every year, and had a wonderful experience! Jared is a great host and very prompt with communications and accommodating to any additional needs. The property is beautiful, and had a great time with bonfires, yard games, fishing, and boating. I would recommend staying here and look forward to the opportunity of future stays!

I am a local real estate broker and my wife is a 3rd grade teacher. We have several vacation rental properties in Florida and now on beautiful Farm Island Lake in Minnesota. We live on the lake and enjoy making your stay a memorable one!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

This one of a kind, hand built log cabin was built in 1979-1980 by a Navy Seal. He swam each log from the harbor to the island, hand scribed each log so they fit perfectly together and built the cabin from ground up. Log home builders of today have told us the "craftsmanship of your log home is amazing". We modernized the inside of the home with custom cabinets, new electric cooktop, wall oven with microwave, new floors bedding and new windows. Everyone who has stayed here has left amazed at the experience. We would love the opportunity to host you and your family.

Lots of room to stretch out and relax on one of the hammocks. The westerly facing property gives you amazing views of the sunsets. One of our guests (who has traveled the world) told us "the only sunset that has compared to this was over the Nile river in Egypt".
