We love Gruissan. In 2000, we were living abroad and bought this house to enjoy family vacations. In 2024, we are fulfilling a dream by moving to the old village of Gruissan. As a result, we have decided to rent out our beach house starting from August 2024. We have had so many wonderful moments here, and we look forward to welcoming you and sharing the best local spots to enhance your stay.
The house is bright and well-equipped. It’s a 3-minute walk from the wide sandy beach, the filming location for JJ Beineix's movie, 37°2 Le Matin (Betty Blue). There are three bedrooms with double beds, storage, and two with desks. There is also a closed office space, ideal for remote work. On the ground floor, there is a large living area of over 30 square meters, including a living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. A washing machine is available in the bathroom. A large 25-square-meter terrace, surrounded by greenery, features a hammock and barbecue, perfect for enjoying the outdoors during the warm months.
The outdoor space is private and enclosed. There is an outdoor shower and a large drying rack, ideal for returning from the beach. Fans, heating, and fiber optic WiFi are provided. Bed linens and towels are not supplied, but linens can be rented (10€ per bed). Final cleaning fee is 60€ ( checkout will be at 11 AM). Parties are not allowed.
All local shops are within 200 meters. Parking is available on the street in front of the house. The village of Gruissan is 15 minutes from Narbonne and 45 minutes from Carcassonne and its Medieval City. Located between land and sea, it offers beautiful walks and visits, including the Barberousse Tower, the Salin, the Ayrolle Cabins, or the Notre Dame Chapel in La Clape.
It is also the perfect place for sports enthusiasts. A water sports base is located on Chalets Beach. Hiking or mountain biking trails lead to the old village, La Clape, or Les Ayguades. You can also explore the balneotherapy-ludic space alone or with your family, or relax with a glass of Muscat from the Gruissan Cave while watching the sunset—with moderation.

Great stay!

Overall, we had a very nice holiday in this accommodation. What is missing, and we shared this with the landlord, is air conditioning. When night temperatures are high, it’s almost impossible to sleep in the upstairs bedrooms. Also, we were there with four people and one bathroom for us was sufficient. But staying there with 8 people would have made the one bathroom situation difficult.

Our stay in Gruissan was wonderful! Patrice and Flo were the best hosts, meeting us when we arrived, showing us around the property, giving us tips about where to eat and visit, even sending us reminders about market day and offering to rent us mountain bikes. The house is very comfortable, with everything we needed. It is walking distance to the beach, several restaurants, (and the bakery and grocery market during the season). The Gruissan Village Saturday market is a must see! It went on for blocks and blocks. If you are a digital nomad, the wifi is very fast and reliable. For people with pets, the yard is secure, and the neighborhood is very dog-friendly. 5 stars, for sure!

Ein kleines Stück Zuhause in FrankreichWir hatten das große Glück, unseren Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus in Gruissan zu verbringen – und es war einfach herrlich! Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt.Die Lage ist perfekt: In nur drei Minuten erreicht man den Strand. Das Haus bietet einen geschützten, grünen Außenbereich mit überdachter Terrasse – eine kleine Oase der Ruhe, ideal zum Entspannen. Das eingezäunte Grundstück macht es besonders geeignet für Familien mit Kindern oder Gästen mit Hund. Innen ist es großzügig auf zwei Ebenen verteilt, liebevoll eingerichtet und voller kleiner Details, die sofort eine warme Atmosphäre schaffen. Dank der Klimaanlagen lässt es sich auch an heißen Tagen bestens aushalten.Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Patrice und Florence. Patrice hat uns herzlich empfangen, uns alles gezeigt, den Grill vorbereitet und viele Tipps zu Restaurants, Märkten und Aktivitäten gegeben. Man spürt sofort ihre große Gastfreundschaft und Aufmerksamkeit – so viel Herzlichkeit erlebt man selten. Bei Fragen waren sie jederzeit erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Unser Aufenthalt war dadurch rundum wundervoll. Gruissan begeistert mit Meer, Salinen und Pinienwäldern, frischen Köstlichkeiten auf den Märkten und vielen Möglichkeiten zum Bummeln oder Genießen.Wir können diese Unterkunft und die Gastgeber von Herzen empfehlen. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Super séjour proche de la mer

Très bon séjour en famille à deux pas de la plage, maison confortable avec barbecue, transats, hamac. Merci au propriétaire Patrice qui était très acceuillant.
