Best of both Worlds

Our stay at Starfish was the best of both worlds! Located directly across the street from the beach…my happy place and on the canal…my husband’s happy place. We were able to dock the boat in front of the cottage as well as able to walk to eat at Mango Marley’s! We hope we can rent it again next year because it was perfect for our family!!

Family Vacation 2025

Great property. Very convenient, comfortable and decorated nicely. We had a family vacation that included a total of 15 family members. We rented two cottages to accommodate everyone.Lots of fun and great memories had by all.

Fabulous Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We brought our boat and jet skis and have a phenomenal time. Cottage was clean and well stocked - you really don’t need anything but food and clothes. Owner was amazingly quick with communication and a joy to rent from.

Perfect!

We had a great stay at Starfish Cottage. Plenty of space for our family - two grown kids and my mother in law. Check in was a breeze and the unit comes with all the beach chairs and toys you need. The dock and canal is a great bonus so we brought our jet ski. That added a whole new level to this beach trip!

Wonderful location with all the comforts of home

We have stayed at Starfish Cottage twice for our family vacation. Rental is extremely clean, very well stocked with everything need to make yourself feel like you’re at home in addition to all the needed equipment for a wonderful day at the beach. The location is perfect for a day at the beach, the pool, local shopping and great food. Owner is very responsive and easy to work with. We will always stay here when visiting Mexico Beach.

Hidden Gem

We came down to visit our son in the Airforce and he told us to stay in Mexico Beach. This property was only a short block from the beach and had everything we needed. I usually don’t sleep well when I travel but this felt like home. It was well appointed and quiet. We hope to be back!

Wonderful Get-away!!

We really enjoyed out stay! The only issue we had was keeping the littles off the stairs. LOL But it was great, no issues and would recommend it highly for a family or friends to enjoy.

Fun Family Beach Trip!

We enjoyed our stay exploring Mexico Beach! The beach house was fantastic, and incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room for everyone. The reviews we read were spot on, and the easy access to the beach was a huge plus. Kristen was great to work with, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Mexico Beach is much quieter than 30A, has lots of new construction in the area, is clean, and has some great restaurants. It will not be long for this area to be very popular. It was a great stay and will definitely come back!

Great location with plenty of space

This was the first time I stayed in a place not directly on the beach. However, the walk is so short it felt as though we were directly on the beach. We had an amazing time. We enjoyed the coffee shop and Mango Marleys were all an easy walk to enjoy. The home was clean and had planet of room. We really enjoyed the balconies. I plan to come back and stay here again. It was a very relaxing stay for us all.

Amazing

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left there was nothing we needed. The house is beautifully decorated and slept my family perfect. House was fully stocked with all of our beach needs as well. I did not even use my own beach towels I had brought. Look forward to making memories next year!

Everything We Didn't Know We Needed!

The house was exactly as pictured - we were very happy with the location and all amenities. The owners have thought of everything and the house is well stocked. I panicked when my kids wanted to go looking for crabs at night - I didn't pack flashlights! But of course there were some ready for us in the garage. We will definitely be back!

Amazing vacation rental and location

We are a family of 8 that stayed Starfish Cottage for a week. The vacation rental was amazing. It had everything we needed and more. We really didn’t need to bring anything except our clothes and food. The host thought of everything and it was the best rental we have ever stayed in. The rental was very clean and updated. The short walk to the beach and the pool were very easy. We were worried about parking but we were able to park one car out front and one in the garage and luckily there was parking at the end of the row of homes for us to park with a short walk. The host was very responsive and we will definitely be staying here again and referring the rental to friends and family.

Great Place for a Family

House was nice & had plenty of room for our 4 Adults & 3 Children party. Everything is nice, clean & well maintained. The only small thing I had concerns about was the dock area. It had shards of wood & screws sticking up which was a concern with us & children stepping on & hurting our feet. One of the boards to the steps to the dock is loose & about to fall off which is a falling hazard. Other than that everything else was great.

I’m so glad you guys enjoyed your stay! Being right on the canal with boat access and then beach access across the street is such a great location for a family like yours. The HOA plans to start remodeling the entire boardwalk and the docks in the next few weeks, so no more squeaky, loose boards!!

All you need and more!

Our family of four stayed late July and loved the space, location and amenities! We could have comfortably added another family in the home. All the kitchen supplies and beach supplies you need and more. We made use of the paddle board, fishing supplies and beach wagon. Loved the location on the canal - we saw four manatees right off the private dock! Only saw them one afternoon, so not sure if it was a rare occurrence but it was amazing. Very easy, short walk to the beach, thanks to the provided wagon. The water quality was excellent and the same as the rest of Mexico Beach (was initially worried about being close to the canal outlet). Would definitely stay here again! Kristin was amazing at communicating. Walked to Shell Shack for fresh fish, walked to coffee shop, Crazy Beach Pizza, Marina and the adorable shops. Location was PERFECTION! Pool was clean and comfortable. Mexico Beach is a gem of a town and we can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect-close to everything we wanted while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. We really appreciated that beach towels and beach chairs were provided, which made our beach days so much easier. The communication from the host was excellent from start to finish, with quick responses and clear instructions. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great beach getaway!

Amazing accommodations for a PERFECT week!

Just bring yourself! This home has it all! We had two families (4 adults and 4 kids) and just needed a quick trip to the grocery. These owners supplied the chairs, toys and the carts to carry it all to and from the beach! Very spacious with beautiful views! Don’t let the walk across the street stop you from booking here - it was a PERFECT vacation! We will definitely be returning!
