Elke and Stephan have a great apartment that feels like home. They kept in contact prior to arrival. Stephan gave us a great orientation to the apartment and local area. This property is very clean has everything you need for your stay. The location to the Ubahn station is about a 5 minute walk. When in the Munich area next we will check the availability here first.

Stephan’s place is in a perfect location. It is clean with all necessities. The U-bahn is just steps away. Many groceries and pharmacies are close by as well. Everything is convenient to this location: various restaurants, shopping, markets, museums. Its easy to access. Laundry is just across the street as well. I never give reviews but this one deserves it!

The property was beautiful, and the hosts were great! The location was wonderful as it was only a block from the train and we pretty much went everywhere by train. We also went out to dinner every night and there were many restaurants within of this place!

Beautiful apartment, easy access to transportation, laundry facilities across the street, markets, restaurants all within walking distance. Easy check in and out. I would highly recommend.

Super apartment

We very much enjoyed our stay at Elke’s apartment. It is a spacious property, fitted out to a high standard.The location is also excellent - quiet enough yet with a nice buzz from restaurants and bars close by. Also very convenient for the U Bahn to get around the city.

Sehr schöne Wohnung

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Die Wohnung sehr gemütlich, sehr sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut. Direkt an der U Bahn, viel Gastronomie nahe der Wohnung.

Excellent!

The apartment of Stephen and Elke is well presented, upgraded and everything has been thought of. It is in a nice neighborhood only two train stops from the city center. There are many restaurants in walking distance. The owner has a coffee and accessory shop in the building so any of your needs can be addressed promptly. This is honestly one of the best apartments we have ever rented on holiday. We give it high marks!

Excellent in every way

The 5 star ratings are well deserved. The location was perfect for my needs and likes- quiet neighborhood, plenty of restaurants, anything you need is a short walk (bakery, grocery, pharmacy), and U Bahn or bus was 3-5 minute walk. The owners were responsive and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great Place in Munich

This VRBO was wonderful! Everything is as advertised and more! The owners were friendly and very accommodating, helping us w/ recommendations and train information. Even bought some of their delicious coffee for our early mornings. The neighborhood was lovely, with easy access to the public transportation, and close by shopping and restaurants. The VRBO itself was great, w/ a comfortable bed and roomy spaces. We enjoyed the small open space for our afternoon drinks. Highly recommend this VRBO when visiting Munich and surroundings! Thanks for everything!

Wonderful hosts, wonderful apartment

Elke and Stefan are outstanding hosts and their apartment was perfect for us. A very comfortable bed, well appointed living room, excellent shower and a kitchen with everything we needed.(And don’t miss their wonderful coffee and handmade chocolates in their shop next door!)Easy access to the U-Bahn and a great neighborhood that is blissfully quiet at night.

Excellence in Munich

The apartment was impeccably clean and decorated nicely. We had everything we needed for our week stay in Munich. The area is very safe and has excellent amenities nearby (subway station, grocery stores, restaurants). The owners were lovely and available if we needed them.

Outstanding Flat in Wonderful Location

From the minute I arrived I was impressed with the location. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the U 4 and 5 station, in a very pretty location. (Tip look for the lift (elevator) in the Underground station. Take the escalator, turn left at the top & left again. The exit is under construction, but you can walk up. Then three right turns and you are there. The host are wonderful, very accommodating and ensure the flat is very clean and well furnished. Very comfortable with very comfortable bed, and electric “pull out sofa”. The kitchen is small, but very well equipped. There are two grocery stores near the flat, one directly across the street. It was necessary to go to both the first day, because not find everything I need at just one. (Tip if you want the meat the store across the street from the flat has better meets.). If you are going to visit the center, October Fest, or go to a site outside of of the center, the ease of travel from this flat are ideal. Because i combined travel for business and vacation, the flat was perfect. transportation was easy. the main Rail station was only minutes away and we could walk to several of the sites, so did not need to take public transp. (Tip if you are flying to Munich, take the S1 or 8 to the main station. Then you will find the underground to the flat). Stephan and Elka were easy to communicate with ahead of time. There was a need to change the booking date, & it worked very well. I highly recommend this flat!

Perfect location for Oktoberfest

Clean, stylish, roomy, comfortable beds and bedding, good shower, everything was great. The owners were very nice, available and helpful. Highly recommend!

This apartment shows how much time & thought went into this reno. The UBahn is just a 3 minute walk & the owners in the building running their gorgeous chocolate shop are a wealth of helpful info. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights in early Sept

Better then advertised

The accommodations were better than advertised. Most advantageous for my wife and I (given that we’re both 70) was that our unit was on the ground floor. This alone is a huge selling point. The unit had a full kitchen (two burner stove, microwave and a coffee pot). Walk in shower and an oversized bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. For those who want to get out and about, this unit couldn’t’t be more convenient. U-bahn only one block away, with direct connections to the Hauptbahnhof (two stops) and Marienplatz (three stops). My wife and I traveled throughout the region by train. Diversion: buy the Deutschland ticket before you go. If you like to dine out, there are several restaurants within a two block radius, covering a range of culinary tastes: Asian, Italian and, of course, typical Bavarian fare. Our hosts provided us with several excellent recommendations. They didn’t disappoint. There is no downside to renting this unit. My only regret is that we didn’t meet our hosts in person, as they were on their own well deserved vacation during our stay. Most enthusiastically recommend booking with this host.

Phenomenal Property with Amazing Owners!

My friend and I came into town for a concert and found this place through a search. The pictures do not even do it justice! The flat was furnished beautifully but still felt like a cozy home away from home. The location was perfect - close to the U-bahn station and surrounded by restaurants so there were many choices. The hosts, Elke and Stephan, were so sweet, warm, and welcoming and made our stay truly magical. We cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you so much for having us!

Great appartment

Had a lovely time in & around Munich & this appartment was brilliant. Not only in a fantastic location close to the Metro but with shops & restaurants nearby too. Elke & Stephan were great hosts with lots of local information & have a lovely little chocolate shop next door, as we were leaving early tuesday morning we had intended buying some chocolates to take home but unfortunately didn't realise it was closed on Mondays so don't make the same mistake as us. Highly recommend this appartment.

Tolle Wohnung zum sofort WOHLFÜHLEN 👌

Wir waren für 6 Übernachtungen dort , leider hatten wir nur Regen während des ganzen Aufenthaltes , umso schöner war es , dass wir soooo eine tolle Wohnung hatten👏in der man sich sofort wohl fühlt , die Einrichtung, Ausstattung, Lage …einfach alles perfekt 👍 , Restaurants , Bio-Supermarkt ,Bäckerei …..und natürlich der tolle „Schokoalm“ Laden ( Besitzer der Whg. ) direkt vor der Tür , das Wohnviertel Schwanthalerhöhe hat Charme , wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 👍

Excellent apartment near centre of Munich

This is an excellent apartment and well located. There is an underground station two minutes walk away which will take you to the main station, or the centre of town. A good range of shops and restaurants nearby, including small supermarkets, bakers and a butcher. The owners were very helpful and as they own the chocolate shop beside the apartment, on five days a week they are extremely easy to contact if you need to do so. The apartment is generally spacious for two people. The kitchen area is small but well equipped, only slight disadvantage is that it only has a microwave, not an oven.
