My husband and I were traveling through Scandinavia for three weeks. By the time we got to Copenhagen we wanted a place away from the "crush" of tourists and provided space to spread out. This apartment is near the lakes area of Copenhagen. Very pleasant and less touristy. Nyhaven is about a 30-minute walk. A grocery store in around the corner. You can get to any of the destinations in the area on foot, if you are a walker. The apartment has one bedroom with windows looking out the front of the building to the main road. As of July 2019 there is major construction immediately in front of the apartment building as they are updating the city's metro system. Workers were gone in the evening but they started up around 7:00 am in the morning. With windows open at night we could hear the talking and hollering folks on the street. None of this bothered us, although it may bother others. There is a nice size kitchen. We only used the refrigerator to store our picnic and breakfast foods. The only meal we ate at the apartment was breakfast - which was enjoyed on the lovely corner balcony. This balcony looked into the interior courtyard and was a selling point for us. Loved the balcony for breakfast and for a glass of wine each evening. The living room was spacious. We really did not use this room. The bathroom adequate. Suggest installing window blinds that offer more privacy. The neighbors could see right into the shower. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, but no dryer. A drying rack is provided which worked great drying clothes on the balcony. A relatively quiet property - just the sounds heard from the balcony wafting out of the apartment windows around us. For us this was the perfect amount of space - stayed for 3 nights. Suggestion: ask the owners to remove a bulk of their personal items from the apartment. It almost felt like this apartment was their actual home and they left to stay with friends for the 3 nights because renters were coming. Items such as coats, sneakers, school notebooks, used dog chew toys, shower cap, toothbrushes, kid photos on the refrigerator, etc. etc. etc. Way too much personal stuff - felt very cluttered. All in all this was a positive experience. We enjoyed our stay overall.
