This property has a great little sitting area just outside your back door, which overlooks the pool area downstairs.

Roach invested! Initially as we walked into the condo, the place looked great. More than enough space for my family of 5 and only about a 8-10min walk to the beach. However when we were in the condo, as a whole we killed 14-18 roaches. In the kitchen, bathroom, countertops, and kitchen table. In one of the bathrooms a however sponge was left from the previous guest! At checkout, I informed the managers and they just laughed and made jokes. It was very shocking. Must be normal. Unacceptable & disappointing!

Great vacation

Overall was a great time The house was exactly what was advertised Only downfall was that we were unable to ise the pool because it was directly in the sun and was extremely hot! Felt like a hut tub or sauna. I picked this house specifically because it had a pool and was not even able to use it

Won’t stay here again

I’ve used VRBO several times before and HomeAway before the name change. This is the first time I was unhappy with our stay. To start off, I had to contact them for information on how to check in the day of as there was no communication or instructions. The listing says sleeps 9, which I read as 9 adults unless stated otherwise. The bunk beds are wobbly and the one over the full bed was unstable at best. One of the bunk bed ladder was broken as well. The beds were super close to the ceiling fan that you could not have the fan on while climbing into the top beds. There were not enough towels or tall drinking glasses for us and we were under the max occupancy. The cooking utensils were subpar. The knife warped when cutting, the can opener was bent, and very lacking in the amount available for cooking for a large group. We’ve had places with far more and better kitchen accessories for a smaller occupancy. The back door to the pool didn’t open all the way for an adult to fit through. I had to personally move a sofa to be able to exit the door and it still wasn’t opened all the way. The main hallway is partially blocked by a shelf to enter into the kitchen so carrying a cooler in there was exciting to say the least, not to mention a fire hazard on top of the back door. They instruct you to dispose of the trash but don’t give instructions where. When we called to ask, the lady within the company was unsure herself. We finally figured it out on our own. Overall, our stay in South Padre was amazing because of the beach and time spent outside of this listing. We will definitely visit again but will be going a different route in choosing a place to stay.

We're not aware of the other items you mention but thank you for bringing it to our attention. This is most unusual because we have had many favorable comments about this particular property.
