Very sad to say but will not be returning
We had a fantastic time last year at another unit in the same building, also managed by Mita Rentals, so we decided to return again. This year we were disappointed by how the concierge handled our stay. Writing this in hopes that perhaps Mita Rentals changes the way they operate and to give a heads-up to other guests. There was a lot of confusion in the communication, which the on-site concierge insisted was because there is a different team for pre-arrival and another team for post-arrival, and therefore he insisted that everything was the fault of the pre-arrival team. We were there for just 3 nights, which means we wanted to maximize the little time we had there and we planned things meticulously. This unit includes "free cook service for breakfast & lunch" and ingredients to be paid by guests. The concierge got the time of our breakfast wrong, which meant we were having breakfast at 10am, which meant hungry kids screaming and less time at the beach. They also switched the day we requested lunch at home without telling us - we only found out the day of, when the cook let us know. As annoying as those things are, they're simple mistakes and we would have understood, but then for two breakfasts for 4 adults & 3 children, plus one lunch of burgers and fries just for the children, plus a few cases of water, we were charged $400.41. We understand that there is inevitably some mark-up in a resort like this, but that felt too egregious, especially given the poor service & mix-up.
