In the heart of the Alps, within the Chablais Geopark, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies the Col du Corbier, belonging to the municipality of Le Biot. Our apartment (1260 m²) is located in the chalet-style Résidence de Drouzin and offers breathtaking views of the Vallée d'Aulp and the surrounding mountains. The comfortable living room features a fireplace. The 10-meter balcony provides ample space for everyone. A large flat-screen TV is provided, along with satellite channels (French and English) and free Wi-Fi. The apartment is bright, even in winter. A ski locker and two parking spaces are available. There are no sofa beds in the living room, eliminating the need to make up the beds each morning and evening. One of the bedrooms has direct access to the balcony and also boasts fantastic views. There are two bathrooms: one with a sink, toilet, shower, and washing machine, and one with a bathtub and sink. There is also a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, refrigerator, freezer, immersion blender, etc. It's a pleasant place to stay in both summer and winter. In summer, hikers will particularly appreciate the area. The residence is located at a crossroads of hiking trails—green, blue, and red—suitable for all levels. In addition to hiking, you can swim in Lake Montriond (15 minutes away), where safe areas for children are marked and supervised during July and August. Children can also enjoy pony rides around the lake. In Saint Jean d'Aulp, horseback riding is available for both adults and children. You can also rent mountain bikes there. You can go dog sledding in Châtel (16 km), pulling carts in the summer – a fantastic experience. You can also have an unforgettable experience with birds of prey in Châtel. Châtel offers a weekly program especially for children. In addition, there are lakes, viewpoints, local cheese farms, and much more to visit within 15 minutes. The impressive "Gorges du Pont du Diable" (Devil's Bridge Gorge) is well worth a visit. Evian is a beautiful spot on the shores of Lake Geneva with a free funicular, an 18-hole golf course, a spa, and beautiful Belle Époque buildings along the boulevard. There's also a golf course in Les Gets. Don't forget to visit Yvoire… – and the food… there's a restaurant in almost every village. In winter, the Col du Corbier is certainly ideal for families with (very) young children for their first snow walk and for sledding. There's a beginner slope that's also suitable for children. Parents, and even grandparents, can watch their (young) children's first ski lessons in the sunshine on the terrace of the adjacent restaurant, perhaps while enjoying a cup of coffee. Hikers can enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing outdoors. The nearest downhill ski slope is 5 km away. You can reach Morzine in 15 minutes, Abondance in 10 minutes, and Avioraz (Portes du Soleil) in 20 minutes. The Roc d'Enfer ski area in Saint Jean d'Aulps (10 minutes away) also offers 50 km of slopes for all levels in a beautiful and unspoiled setting.
