Welcome to your Canyon Lake escape — a thoughtfully designed retreat perfect for group stays. With two full homes situated side by side on the same property, guests enjoy the best of both worlds: shared gathering space and plenty of room to spread out. Just a few minutes from Canyon Lake, guests enjoy nature trails, picnic areas, and local adventures — all within easy reach.

House One features three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, offering a warm and inviting layout with a grand family room, shuffleboard, stone fireplace, and a fully appointed kitchen with granite countertops and a large island for meals and conversation. The bedrooms include a luxurious king suite with ensuite bathroom, a second king bedroom, and a third bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds connected via a Jack-and-Jill bath.

House Two includes three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, mirroring the comfort and style of the first. The master suite offers a king bed and private ensuite, while the second king bedroom and a third room with a queen bed and bunk beds complete the space. The open-concept living area connects to a beautifully finished kitchen with granite counters and rich cabinetry, perfect for relaxed group meals or late-night snacks.

Outside, the property truly shines with a resort-like atmosphere. Relax by the private pool, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy meals outdoors while surrounded by nature. A fire pit at House Two sets the scene for cozy evenings and s’mores. Guests often spot deer wandering at dusk, adding to the sense of peace and seclusion.

This retreat is ideal for family reunions, bridal parties, or anyone seeking a restful and celebratory stay close to Canyon Lake’s natural beauty. With thoughtful touches throughout and plenty of room to gather or retreat, your time here will be easy, fun, and full of connection.

CHECK-IN/OUT TIMES: Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 10:00 am. Luggage storage is unavailable while the home is being prepared for your arrival. We recommend making travel plans accordingly.

SELF CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: All reservations will be required to sign a rental agreement and provide Hills of Texas Lodging with a valid credit card to be placed on file for their stay. In lieu of charging a damage deposit or non-refundable damage waiver, a temporary hold of $500 will be placed on a credit card upon arrival for incidentals (just like they do at hotels). We are basically just verifying with your financial institution that sufficient funds are available in the event they were needed to cover property damage(s). If there are no property damages, the card will not be charged.

AGE REQUIREMENT: Everyone participating in the reservation must be over age 25 or if accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

MAX OCCUPANCY: The maximum capacity for this home is 18 guests (including children). No visitors or day guests are allowed. Only the guests registered in this reservation are allowed onsite. If it is discovered that guests are over occupying the property, it will result in eviction.

PET POLICY: Pets are not allowed at this property under any circumstance.

Fantastic wonderful family retreat

We are a family of 13 ranging in age from 4 to 89. The property was as described. The pool was perfect for entertaining the children. House well supplied as described. House very clean. Most of all enjoyed the firepit and ajoining backyards. You will not be disappointed.

Great rental homes; poor property management

Communication with property management was poor. We were provided two different codes upon checking; one was wrong and the another was correct. Around 4pm we reported the living room TV was not working. No call back or assistance was provided. The following day a guest was able to reset the modem and TV which we reported back to management. Subsequently we reported not having any trash bags. Again there was no call back or follow up for the duration of our stay. We went to the second home to retrieve a supply of bags. The two houses were very nice and clean. Despite the hiccups, we all had a great time and enjoyed both properties, inside and outside.

Spring break trip

Overall the property was nice. Close to lake and has use of pool and hot tub. Strict check in and check out time. If you want early check in or check out have to pay $100 extra. Tried to contact property sunday morning prior to check out to see if can extend until 12pm but didn’t get a response.

Awesome time

We had the best time, both houses were perfect to fit our large group and it was as if we were all under the same roof. The pool and hot tub were clean and very refreshing. Location was perfect for us to hit all the spots, float the river and attend a concert. Check in/out was a breeze and communication with the property manager was great.

Lovely prooerty

We had our immediate family annual retreat. It was perfect for all the varying ages. The furnishings were very comfortable and accommodating. Quiet and private premises. Convenient to lake and grocery store. Enjoyed our stay completely.

Canyon lake house

Very clean houses and perfect for our summer vation with a large group! Check in process was easy. We shorted out a breaker and was told how to remedy that easily. Pool was great to come home to for kids and adults after long days at the river. Would definitely book again! Marlena

Tons of space, Great location & amenities - Great Stay!!

This vacation rental was better than we could have imagined! Not only did it sleep 18, have a pool and jacuzzi, and offer convenient access to nearby Texas wineries, but it's actually two homes conveniently side by side. We had tons of space for our entire group with two fully equipped kitchens, two living areas, and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to go around. It also had two spacious backyards to hang out in with an adjoining gate, making it quick and easy to walk from one house to the other. Of course, the fire pit, pool and jacuzzi areas were real highlights. These were our favorite places to relax and unwind together after a day of exploring the nearby Texas wineries or a day full of lake activities. This property had everything we could have wanted for a great time with family and friends. Whether you're planning a family reunion, a weekend getaway with friends, or celebrating a wedding, we highly recommend it for a great time with a group. We had so much fun and everything went really smoothly. Overall, it was great stay. Again, if you're looking for a vacation rental thats super clean, offers plenty of space, amazing amenities, and convenient access to nearby Texas wineries, Canyon Lake, or wedding destinations, then this property is an excellent choice. We'd definitely book it again!

Nice Homes, Rough Experience

The homes themselves are very nice and well furnished. There were quite a few problems upon closer inspection, though. When we first arrived we were given the check-in codes almost 10 minutes late. Then we noticed that a window was broken and covered with tape instead of properly fixed. There was a broken wine glass in a bottom cabinet that one of the young children found. To make matters worse, every child that got in the pool (and ONLY the ones that got in the pool) developed a chemical burn. To their credit, the management came to the house within an hour or two and checked the PH and chlorine levels in the pool, but upon finding nothing wrong with those two things decided that it didn't have anything to do with their pool without offering even a hollow apology.

Should have been a great stay!

Houses were as described and clean and nice… Dishes has leftover food in them that were in the cabinets…took pictures because there were so many dirty.. Housekeeping issue. Beds were all comfy, pool was nice… but on the 1st day, we had a water leak outside with sprinklers… my son in law is a Water Dept Supr. so he tracked it, and turned water off so we had pressure inside for showers… also 1st day.. master bath toilet has a leak and so we turned it off.. called and text for 4 days… twice they told us the plumber was coming, once that they were 1 - 2 hours out… no one every showed. Same with the washing machine that did not work in one of the houses… we did a fix ourselves the 3rd day since no updates given after twice saying someone was coming… last 2 days, we heard nothing, and no responses to text or emails…I stay at VRBO’s about 10 times each year with family and extended family…never been just ignored.. Made the decision due to low water pressure, no master toilet, and the washer not working 1st 3 days to leave a full day early.. For the cost I expected better responsiveness, and a kindness that we helped with their outside leak. Would not stay again…1st time in 10 years of using VRBO that I am saying this… I give great reviews always… but while the homes are lovely, and convenient to things to do… the management company is inadequate and unresponsive. Responding to texts saying one thing and nothing happening is unresponsive.

We had a fabulous time!! The properties are incredible and was a fantastic place for our families to gather!! Pool was incredible!! The manager was on top of any requests and was a delight to work with!! The kids especially loved the many deer and wildlife that came within 20 yards of us!!

Great option for a large group.

Enjoyed the home. We had a group of 18 and it was perfect for what we needed. Only issue we had was a noise complaint 2 hours after arriving from the neighbors (small jbl speaker on back deck while we swam wasn't even dark outside yet). Overall very nice homes would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Property

We really enjoyed our stay - the houses were clean and inviting. The back yards are spacious and we really enjoyed the use of the hot tub (it was a little to chilly to use the pool but next time we will!) We loved the fact that the bedrooms all had king size beds and there was ample space to accommodate our large group. Will definitely stay there again!
