Lakefront cottage 20 min from N. Conway

A sunny family-friendly cottage right on the beach of Kimball Lake Shores. Wake up to the sound of loons on the lake, spend your days swimming, kayaking, fishing, and hiking, then fire up the BBQ and spend some time together around the fire-pit. The cottage is perfect for 2 families and is stocked. We've got kayaks, a canoe, puzzles, legos, duplos, all kinds of games, toys and books and binoculars (Bald Eagles nest by the shore).

The cottage is about 100 feet from the water and is situated on the north end of the pond which gives us the unique ability to view both sunrise and sunset from the house in the winter.

The main living space consists of a full kitchen open to the primary living room with a wood-burning stove. This opens into an adjoining 4-season sun room with skylights and windows overlooking the lake, plus a banquette for family dinners.

There are 3 bedrooms: 2 with queen beds, and a bunk-room with 3 double-size beds and a portable crib. A bathroom with a shower, washer+dryer is in the main living space, plus another 1/2-bath off the bunk-room.

Outside we have a private beach area with seating for up to 9 around the fire-pit. If you want to eat outside we've got a picnic table and a Weber BBQ that's missing a door but works like a charm. There are yard games, sand toys and even some sea glass and shells hidden in the sand for kids to find (please do leave them for our next guests though).

This made for a perfect family winter getaway. The house was cozy and well decorated. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of games, toys, books, etc. for the kids to enjoy. The kids had a great time playing outside in the snow and I'm sure this would also make for a great summer vacation being right on the lake and beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice Stay

Adam and his wife were excellent to deal with. Cabin is exactly what our group of age 8-78 was looking for. Fire pit area next to water was perfect for hearing the loons. Not too far from activities in N Conway and plenty of water activities to keep everyone entertained. Very nice stay!

Lovely summer vacation

We had a lovely time. Spent time cooking dinner together, kayaking and swimming at the lake and hiking trails. Highlight of our trip was a float down the Saco river. Wonderful family vaca before sending kids off to college. Thank you!

Beautiful Winter Wonderland

This cabin was perfect for our stay! It was exactly what the pictures show and a wonderful place to bring our friends too for our little winter vacation. It was exactly in the middle of Gunstock Ski Resort and Mount Washington where we went to ride the Cog Railway. We enjoyed the choices of games at the cabin and having a great kitchen to cook some of our meals at and the kids loved throwing snowballs at the frozen lake lol! It was a wonderful time!

Great spot

We had a great week relaxing with my family and another. The proximity to the water was a bonus. The house was clean and perfectly decorated. The view from the sunroom was beautiful. And the fire pit was a favorite for everyone. It’s pretty remote but still only 25 minutes from all the amenities of North Conway. All in all a 10/10.

Lovely cottage!

We chose this lakefront cottage for a weekend getaway. The cottage is extremely well appointed with everything you could need. The open concept makes it spacious and comfortable. It rained most of the time we were there, so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake (although we stick our toes in-the water was quite warm!). But the cottage is a mere 23 minutes from North Conway (and softball fields-we were primarily there for a tournament), so we had a blast shopping and dining out after the games. The owners are so responsive and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay there. I slept great, had the windows cracked and was soothed by the rain drops in the night. It’s a great place to get away and relax and not worry about anything.

Great vacation spot for 2 families with kids

They weren't exaggerating when they say it's well stocked for families with kids. We didn't need to bring any kids toys or books. They even have step stools in both bathrooms. The shower is also nicely stocked with shampoos, face wash, etc. There is no bathtub but we could still shower the kids off. We brought up a few concerns to the owners when we arrived and they were very responsive. The lake has a well maintained beach and shallow area for kids to play and swim. The neighborhood has quiet dirt roads where the kids rode their bikes. We'll put this one on the list for future visits to the area.

Beautiful house, warm lake

This is a beautiful, well cared for home. It's clear the owners put care and consideration for their guests and themselves. It was more comfortable and beautifully furnished than most rentals, with very comfortable beds, a stocked kitchen, lots of comfortable towels, and tons of games for the kids to stay entertained. It's great that it's well stocked as it's 15 minutes from any store to buy basics, so bring what you are sure you will need. The lake is the warmest that I've swum in in the region (we had many hot days, so it may not always be this way). It's gorgeous, fantastic for paddling. It has a very shallow sandy beach out to two docks, with more mucky areas around it. I heard some kids complaining loudly about muck, but it meant lotus flowers and paddling beauty.One thing to note is that the house is looking out over the water and has great access to the lake; it's also on the main drive to the beach that the neighborhood uses. During our time, it was busy, with people walking by and golf carts driving along the road all day and into the evening. There is little privacy except inside the house. The beach was busy (and sometimes loud) starting at noon and into the early evening. We avoided crowds by paddling in the afternoons, swimming in the morning and the evening. We enjoyed meeting some families with small kids, but otherwise preferred to be with our family in more private settings in the yard or the house. Still, the lake (and house) was worth it!

Cozy cottage

This place was so cute and cozy. Loved everything about it. The only thing that we had a hardtime with was no internet. Service on our cell phones were spotty. So made it tough to watch tv. But other than that I would recommend this place and stay there again.

Thanks so much for staying with us. We've since gotten Starlink internet setup on the property and are continuing to make other improvements. We just put in dimmable uplighting above the main beams in the living space and are about to do a bunch of landscaping to make the outdoor fire-pit area more accommodating year round. :)

A weekend to remember

Stayed for a family birthday celebration and the space was beautiful! The only "complaint " would be the drive out was a bit more rural than anticipated and very bumpy this time of year. I can image it being the perfect place to stay in the summer though, being right on the water! The hosts were absolutely wonderful and always responsive.
