White Christmas with Family

We enjoyed the house very much. It is a tri level house, so as all adults, we enjoyed gathering on mostly the top level. Awesome to take in the white Christmas. With one of the levels having a fantastic game room, this could be particularly enjoyed by a family with children and teens.

Great house!

Beautiful views out the very large main floor windows. Plenty of beds for our combined families. Only complaint would be the amount of noise the bunkbeds made and how rickety they felt. Any movement by the top bunk was felt by the bottom (but that's probably more a hazard of bunk beds vs a fault of the house). Overall, it was a great place to stay. Right next to the lake, close to town, very picturesque, with a highly enjoyable game room.

Enjoyable

The house and location was great. We were a bit surprised by the need for an off- site check in. House appeared to be part of a corporation with many of the homes in the area rented through the same company . Plenty of room for our extended family. Could have used more towels for the number of beds and the carpet in the main area was a bit shabby but the beds were comfortable and the kids (and husbands) loved the game room .

Hello Margaret, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are happy to hear that this cabin Window Wonderland was all you expected. We hope that some friendly yet competitive competition was going on in the game room. It's our goal here at Destination Big Bear to provide the best service possible. The City of Big Bear Lake requires the host and the guest to meet face to face otherwise we can both receive a fine. We apologize about the inconvenience of this and take your feedback seriously. Come back soon, Destination Big Bear.

Loved It

Great cozy home with lovely views, good open floor plan and amazing game room appointed to keep adults and kids alike entertained. We enjoyed our time during our week stay but had challenges with the hot water. Pressure was really low and actual hot water coming out of any faucet was intermittent at best. Less an issue for me, but my wife and three girls had a very different opinion which I had the pleasure of hearing daily. Contacted manager who sent someone, but they didn't seem to spend much time on it and only made it marginally better. No follow up with us after that.

Thank you for your feedback—we’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the home, the views, and especially the game room! We truly appreciate you letting us know about the issue you experienced with the hot water during your stay. We understand how frustrating that must have been, especially for your family. I wanted to let you know that a brand new water heater was installed just last week, so this should no longer be an issue for any future guests. We apologize for the inconvenience and for the lack of follow-up after the initial visit. Your comments help us improve, and we’ve already taken steps to ensure a better experience moving forward. Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again under better circumstances.

Spring Break Getaway

Our overall stay was great for my family. The views from the large window and on the outside deck were spectacular. Very calm and tranquil. The house is 3 stories with the main floor in the middle, top floor was the master bedroom, and the bottom floor were two other bedrooms and the fantastic game room. The kids spent a lot time in this area playing games, Pac-Man, and watching Disney . The kitchen was well equipped with appliances and dish/cooking ware, but no air fryer. The bedrooms were comfy and had nice decor. The 3 bathrooms were fine, except the main floor had slow drainage. We did notify the property management and they responded quickly and who have someone over although we didn’t since it wasn’t a big deal for them to come immediately. I will say that the pressure/hot water is affected if someone else is showering or if you are running the dishwasher but again wasn’t a big deal. My family had a great time and we would definitely go back to this home.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re always looking for ways to improve! I wanted to clarify that the property does include an air fryer feature, which is built into the oven. It can be accessed by pressing the “Air Fry” button on the control panel. We’ll make this clearer in the welcome guide and kitchen instructions to help future guests avoid any confusion. As for the water pressure, thank you for bringing that to our attention. A plumber visited shortly after your stay, and the issue has been fully resolved. We genuinely appreciate your input and the opportunity to improve the guest experience. Thank you again for staying with us—we’d love to host you again in the future!

An Wonderful Stay

This was a beautiful stay. The view is amazing. We enjoyed quiet time mostly. Ordered in but the kitchen is fully loaded. The smart tv was great for our nights in. But night time on the balcony, in front of the fire pit and under the heat lamp with some wine, can't be beat. The propane tanks were full and back up was available. The master bed is soooo comfortable, we were well rested. Management is quick to response and check in and out was easy peazy. We took a horse carriage ride during the day in the village, then returned in the evening to enjoy dinner at Oakside Restaurant. We had a perfect 2nd year anniversary weekend. I would suggest the following: it would have been nice to have a book with all essential information that was either emailed or texted to me, so that I didn't have to go looking for it in my phone. The book could contain: smart tv instructions, surround sound instructions (we couldn't figure out how to use the speakers), check in and check out instructions, trash information, wifi log in, activities, restaurants etc. My other suggestion: the master bedroom pillows were not as comfortable as the bed. They were hard memory foam. More luxurious pillows to match the bed would be great. Other than that, this home is really a treat to stay in. Thank you! The Selvey's .

Amazing property with amazing views !

The house was very spacious. All of my family members had their own space. The common area was perfect for dinner, picture taking, and hanging out with one another. You won’t be disappointed.

Great!

Such a beautiful house, it worked out perfectly, we had a group of 7 adults, one baby. The top floor worked great for the parents so she could go to sleep early and we could hang out all the way on the bottom floor playing games! The game room is amazing! The kitchen was great and had a lot of things that you may have forgotten. The balcony is wonderful, the windows beautiful, the only downfall is man, that sun can get bright but that's a pretty great problem to have.

Cabin Views

Overall this place was great. Only minor issues that Destination Big Bear needs to address. 1 - there is no dishwasher, and the kitchen sink has almost no water pressure. We had to wash our dishes in the laundry room. 2 - check-in process was an all day affair. They called us at 10 and let us know we could check in, so we drove to the other side of Big Bear and checked in at the office (required by them). We were told we would receive the address and key code within 5 minutes. Well that didn't happen. We called back 15 minutes later, while now at the property and were told we wouldn't receive the key code until 1pm. They wasted our day as we were already at the slopes but decided to leave early so we could check in. We would have just stayed at the slopes. 3 - This place has an awesome game room with a shuffle board table. They had no sand for the table, which rendered it useless.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us Jim. I'm sorry that we did not meet expectations in these areas. We immediately ordered another container of sand which has been delivered to the house. We also replaced the kitchen faucet, fixing the water pressure issue. All those issues have now been resolved. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused to you during your stay.Warm regards, Destination Big Bear
