Located on a quiet dead-end street, our fully renovated apartment in Central Greenwich takes up the entire first/ground floor of this property and boasts hardwood floors and a fabulous modern kitchen. The living room has a large screen 4k TV and an electric fireplace for you to enjoy. Enjoy time outside on the private patio (just off the dining room and master bedroom), BBQ in the backyard, or watch the sunset on the front porch.

The property has a private driveway with off-street parking for 2 cars.

Take a short walk to downtown Greenwich and enjoy excellent restaurants, the library, parks, coffee shops, movie theaters, beach ferries (in the summer), and places to shop. Alternatively, you can take the train to Manhattan as the Greenwich train station is only an 8-minute walk away. We are also centrally located to explore the Tri-State area. Rye Playland (a fun-filled amusement park and beach) is 12 minutes away by car. This is also a great area for walking or jogging near the water.

Our property is also ideal for working from home. We have a desk in one of the bedrooms and lightning-fast WiFi for you to enjoy.

The master bedroom comes with a king-sized mattress, and all our mattresses are super comfortable.

Activities include biking, hiking, kayaking, and community-sponsored activities such as concerts and movie nights.

Clean comfortable and everything that was needed. The water on the refrigerator dispenser is not working properly and spills water on the floor when used. Everything else supplied was very good.

The apartment is spotless and inviting. We enjoyed our stay. There is some disturbsnce from the second floor depending on the tenants staying there. I had a dog and he was welvomed by everyone.

Apartment was great. It is our 2nd time staying here. Check in/out was easy. Communication was excellent. The area is easy to walk around. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog.

Wonderful stay!

This was one of the best places I’ve stayed. We stayed for 2 weeks. The house was extremely clean and the host was so accommodating if we needed anything. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

Great place… Great location

We had a wonderful day. The location is fantastic with easy access to restaurants and the rest of Greenwich. The place itself is well appointed and in good shape. We would absolutely stay here again. Loved it. (neighbors upstairs stomp around a bit!)

Great and so responsive

My stay was unique because my daughter was having a baby and I wasn’t 100% sure of the dates, and Henri was so kind and accommodating and flexible. It really was a very special stay.

A great spot in Greenwich

We were very pleased with our stay. The property is on a quiet cul-de-sac that is easy to access from Route 1 and 95. It is centrally located but does not feel busy; Greenwich Ave is easily walkable, along with the waterfront and Bruce Park playground. A few small restaurants within a stone's throw as well. The property is very well-kept with a nice kitchen and living room. The bathrooms worked well with the ensuite for the adults and the bath for the kids. House stayed comfortable and warm even on cooler nights. Wi-fi worked fine for our needs. It had everything we needed!

Great Spot Centrally Located

Exactly as described. On a quiet little street very close to all things Greenwich. Owners were immediately responsive when the weather turned cold and we needed to turn the heat on. Only complaint was that the upstairs renters came in very late every night and were quite noisy but earplugs blocked them right out. We would definitely stay here again!

A long-awaited event made perfect with our accomodations.

The property was perfect for our needs and was exactly as portrayed in the listing. Communication with the Host was easy and very friendly. Our 50th year class reunion was near perfect, with much of the reason being that we had a comfortable, homelike place to rest and regroup in. I can honestly say that I totally recommend this property. I wish that I had reason to use it again soon, it was that comfortable.

Just what we were looking for!

We were in town for a family event and the location and layout were perfect. Communication with the hosts was seamless and they were very accommodating. The place was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed from towels and linens to paper goods and a fully stocked kitchen. The location is walkable to Greenwich Avenue and the train station. Would definitely stay again!

CT visit

Apartment was in a nice neighborhood with shops and restaurants available within walking distance. Unit was very clean, kitchen had everything you need. Bedrooms are good size and the beds very comfortable. The air conditioner units did a great job in the 100 degree weather. The yard was great for our dog. Instructions were easy to follow. No issues with check in or out. The apartment felt like home away from home.

Great place!

Henri has a wonderful first floor apartment. The layout was perfect for my family and the location was ideal. We had great communication with Henri throughout. We would go back again without question.

Great stay, one small problem.

The location was great and thre property was almost perfect for our needs. The only negative issue was ants. When we got up the first morning of our stay the counter was teeming with ants. There were several ant traps on the counters but they were pretty ineffective Otherwise, the house was great.

Idlewild Manor

I was delighted with the apartment my daughter, her 14 month old son and I rented from the owners via VRBO. The place was well set out and the owners went out of their way to get a high chair and cot for our stay. If I had a question, I was able to call the owner, Henri, and he was more then happy to help me out. The apartment was, also as described within easy walking distance of Greenwich Ave, Bruce Park and the ferry to Captain’s Island. I highly recommend this accommodation.

New York City visit May 2023

We had enjoyed our stay, excellent quiet area near downtown Greenwich and walking distance to frequent trains into NYC. We met friendly neighbors, walking distance to the Bruce Museum. We’re originally from just over the Connecticut state line. Back roads north of Greenwich are scenic, worth taking extra time to see by auto.

Manhattan Wedding- Conneticut Reception

We could not have been happier with our choice! It was super clean, spacious, and very convenient. We enjoyed the short walk to the train we took to Manhattan several times. We also spend a night in a hotel in Manhattan, and even though it was closer to the NYC sites, it didn't hold a candle to Henri's place in Greenwich, CT!!

Great location

The home is perfect for a family vacation. It is located just minutes from the train station, which made trips to NYC seamless. Wonderful neighborhood - close to lots of great restaurants.

Perfect home away from reno

Henri hosted us at 5 Idlewild for 6 months with our newborn, 3 year old non shedding dog and my husband and myself. There are two great bedrooms for kids and one large primary with lots of storage. We converted the dinning room area to a mini office for work from home and utilized the counter setup for meals. Would highly recommend staying here for a weekend for part of the year. Henri takes really good care of the property and his guests.
