Closest Inn to Deep Water in St James City. Perfect for monthly rental!

Welcome to Southernmost Inn on Pine Island! Come and enjoy a relaxing stay on the water in our "Hook Studio". Compared to any other Inn in St. James City we can honestly say, "If you had stayed at the Southernmost, you could be fishing already!" Avoid the ten to fifteen-minute boat ride up the canal's "no wake" zones.

Hook is a studio with a queen bed, sitting area, and kitchen. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove/oven, and microwave. So, it is perfect for a short or long stay. The bathroom has a walk-in shower for easy in and out. Our boat dock is right off the unit as are the beautiful sunsets over San Carlos Bay. There are charcoal bbq's along the dock and a fish cleaning station available. Slips are available for your own boat or a boat can be arranged as part of your stay, both for an additional charge.

There is a full kitchen with everything you need to enjoy making your own meals, or you can go right next door to The Waterfront restaurant. There are also many other restaurants in the area.

Great views! You can sit and sip your coffee and enjoy the water view while sitting in the screened lanai. You will see many forms of Florida wildlife! There is also a small sandy beach a one-minute walk from the property.

This was the perfect spot/location for a quick getaway and retreat. Right on the water, with excellent views great for boat watching, and the AMAZING Waterfront restaurant right next door. Louise, thank you!

The unit was excellent - very clean, comfortable and and is in a perfect location. Louise was great and even let me check in a few hours early.The back/dock area needs some attention, but it is understandable given the recent hurricane. Had I brought my boat, I would have been very disappointed that there was no water available at the dock. Again, I am sure it is a work-in-process as the entire region is rebuilding.

Michael, Thank you for your review! I just wanted to clarify the dock situation. There is water available along the side of the Inn. When a guest arrives with a boat, we make sure they know where to find the water source. We are also getting ready to rebuild the seawall, which has delayed the completion of the landscaping on the water side of the Inn. I hope you will come again so you can enjoy your boat and the easy access to the Gulf! Louise

Wonderful

The studio was just as pictured, cute, cozy and clean. St James City was charming and quaint. Our hosts Louise and Dave were very attentive to our needs as well as Leah who was as at the property every day checking on things. She answered our questions and helped us fully enjoy our stay. The weather was cool for January but we still had a great time and will be back.

Quaint, charming, relaxing and economical. Fishing from the front dock was stellar. Excellent host with great communication skills. Location is great with an eating establishment next door. Looking forward to another stay in the future.

Louise and David live in Ft Myers near the bridge to Sanibel Island. Louise is a teacher and David is an electrical engineer. Both grew up in Canada near Toronto and lived for the past twenty years in California, moving to Southern Florida last year. David & Louise also own Crescent Island, just south of the Southernmost Inn (also available on VRBO).

The Southernmost Inn is by far the closest Inn to deep water (San Carlos Bay) in St James City and perhaps in the whole Matlacha/Pine Island area. When we say "two minutes" we mean two minutes without all the long canals at "no wake" speeds or shallow water to navigate. Southernmost is also right next door to the Waterfront Restaurant, which is a great restaurant with a full bar next door. Also nearby there is a fresh seafood market, grocery, hardware, and other amenities. A small sandy beach is within 1 minute walk. Outside your lanai you will find bbq's and a long dock with slips for your boat (bring your own or rent from us).
