Tarpon River is a neighborhood Located in the south New River neighborhood in South Fort Lauderdale , with a population of 3,716. Are avid boaters, and is one of the best places to live in Florida. Tarpon River offers an urban feel ; mix "Old Florida" with "The Modern Down Town", you will found the best of both side . There are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many young professionals live in Tarpon River and residents.

On the canal

It's an older duplex but was very comfortable. And is well located for Ft Lauderdale and freeways. Would stay again.

Great Location....Great People

Only negative is that it is on a busy street. But still very quiet. Back yard more than compensates for the street. It is a "duplex", but was never bothered by neighbors.Great location.Other than having wrong wi-fi info and entry info on checkin, everything was perfect.

Host was accommodating with having thanksgiving dishes and glasses as we were having dinner there for the holiday. We could’ve used more toilet paper.

Comfortable place to rest our feet after working the boat shows

Great communication from the hostess including some wonderful restaurant suggestions. We made reservations at the two she recommended and they were wonderful. Bed was comfortable. Location was not exactly what we expected. Along a busy road but it was walkable into town to get food/coffee.

Nice stay!

Great place to stay near downtown Riverwalk. 15 minute walk and your there, which is great since parking is somewhat expensive downtown. Very relaxing in back yard, didn't get a chance to fish but they were definitely active in canal. Great communication between host.

After cruise stay

Enjoyed the 2 day stay and sitting on the river. Close to busy road but really didn't notice much noise. Might suggest a hide-a-bed in the living room rather than just a couch. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the proximity to a multitude of activities. Met our needs for our month long stay. Worked remote successfully. Had a few minor issues that were addressed quickly. We would definitely consider staying again.

Had a wonderful time!

We were pleasantly surprised that we had a relaxing oasis in the back of the house! So peaceful sitting on the dock overlooking the canal. We even made a few friends with the wildlife (ducks/iguana). The property is conveniently located to nearby restaurants & shopping. Inside the house it was spacious & comfortable with all the amenities. We would definitely stay here again...loved it!

Nice 2 bedroom

This property is a nice two bedroom unit convenient to Fort Lauderdale's seaside promenade. The street location is a bit busy. Having the back patio area canal side is a plus. Katia was helpfuladdressing questions that we had.

Besides renting apartments in the Fort Lauderdale area, I'm also a realtor, and own a car maintenance shop called Flash Lube Miami Gardens and a scuba diving shop in Fort Lauderdale called Achidivers. You could say I got my hands full, but I enjoy every part of it!
